Came here for lunch after scuba diving. We were starving and would have eaten anything, so we're happy that the food here is delicious and plentiful. As someone who has to eat gluten-free, I appreciated that the menu marked which items came with flour tortillas and which had corn tortillas. All were clearly fresh, as we're all the ingredients. Great service, and loved sitting under the huge palapa with fans. Great atmosphere and very pleasant on a hot day. Parking is available in a lot nearby. Be sure to have the restaurant staff stamp your parking ticket to reduce the cost of parking from 40 pesos to 20 pesos.

    Really good breakfast

We ate here twice while in Akumal. Once for lunch and once for breakfast. Both meals were great. For our lunch we started with delicious onion rings. They were huge and came with a good dipping sauces. We all ordered something different for our meal. I had a good hamburger and fries, my wife a Cobb salad, and others the quesadilla. Served with good cold beer. Our server was very good. For breakfast we had a nice strong coffee with a pineapple and orange glass of juice. I had the eggs, bacon, and potatoes. It was all good. The place is open air with a nice gift shop that sells some nice glassware. They have a very extensive menu.

We stopped the first time at Turtle Bay on our way home from eating at Imelda 's close by. We were just kind of checking out the area and decided to sit down and have a piña colada and a margarita. First off, the drinks were on happy hour, so they were essentially the same price as the Buena Vida happy hour, you can read my review of them as well. We were blown away by the quality of the drinks at Turtle Bay. Well made, flavorful and you could tell there was a good kick to them. My wife's standard "how good is this place" check is to order a cup of the tortilla soup. Wow, they knocked it out of the park. We came back the next day for happy hour again, again the drinks were great and this time we went into a little room where they sell desserts to go, glassware and ice cream. We took home some of their flan and some mango cake both of which were delicious. We then decided to come back a third time with some friends for dinner. Turtle Bay didn't disappoint. The drinks, food and service were all on point. After dinner we ordered more desserts to take with us and our friends bought some of the glassware to take back home. The ambiance is nice, it's an open air, palapa roof style eating experience, very typical for the area. This is a very solid option for meals and drinks in the Akumal area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and I will be back.

Eat here when in akumal or you will be bummed you missed out. Breakfast is perfect to fuel you for your day of adventure in the sun. Crab Benedict Skillet Burrito Smoothies Juices - fresh! Açaí and granola smoothie - the best! It's all fresh, good, affordable, and crazy fast. The service is always polite and happy to host you. The menu has a ton of variety and everything is appealing. We have yet to eat lunch or dinner but the happy hour deals and food look just as good as the breakfast! Highly recommend! Close to town and the beach and easy to navigate + a bathroom for you to use before adventuring on.

    Mixed grill did not disappoint!

We stayed at the Iguana condos in Akumal and found this gem on yelp and researching what was around in our cove. Love the decor of this place, cute tiki hut feel with vibrant colors. We had the amazing crab cakes, best I have ever had. Kids had the huge flat bread pizza, which was delicious. We tried the thai chicken tacos, which were fantastic as well. The drinks come in some awesome glassware, which we ended up buying a set to take back home. Cute shot glasses with turtles at the bottom of it. Cute decor around the area and artwork. Ice cream of course for dessert was amazing as well. We came back the next day for breakfast before our fishing trip across the way. The skillets are awesome. Bottom line everything here was outstanding, we are from Vegas so we love when we find a place with great food and great service Everyone super friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back.

Our absolutely favorite restaurant on Akumal. The staff are so very friendly and kind. The food is amazing and the service is super quick. Even for our large group, they never fail to surpass expectations. Highly recommend this restaurant. We pretty much visit everyday while we are in Mexico. The open air restaurant is inviting and comfortable.

Great spot to eat for post turtle snorkel adventure. Happy Hour prices, delicious tacos, colorful outdoor decor, friendly service - what more could you want! Away from the road and not on the beach (only con) - pass the roadside cueva del pescador to get here and enjoy. **recommend the blackened fish tacos and the tortilla soup**

Made to order fresh juice and smoothie.

Best Totilla Soup and Fresh Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. Central location in Akumal near a great parking lot for easy access.

But the dinner my daughter and I had was delicious. We were seated right away. Up to the roof top we go. There are 4 levels to this restaurant. Each has their own vibe. The service was top notch, always attentive to our needs. Everyone was very friendly here. This restaurant is great for large groups. They have a number of rooms that can accommodate 15 to 20 people in an intimate setting. The roof top view is cool if you are a people watcher. Give it a try, you will be glad you did.

Out front of Good Burger, it was hard to tease out which menu was for what restaurant, but I guess it didn't matter because the second floor was the bar where the night cap was made and brought upstairs. Up on the rooftop, the setting was whimsical, naturey, romantic. It was great to sit on cushiony seats under dim lighting with lots of greens hanging above and on the walls. The street view below was, well, of the street. For a weekend night, it was desolate and for awhile, we had the whole roof to ourselves (minus the two servers with nothing to do). For my one drink, I selected a mojito swoon (ginger, lime). It was pretty much a very refreshing lemonade with only a slight hint of alcohol - but that's the theme in most cocktails I had in Tulum. Our poor waitress came by several times to check in on us out of boredom, which was nice, but also weird at the same time given it was clear the place was dead, so it seemed like she was coming to our table too often.

We ordered some guac and chips and ceviche for the table. Ceviche was fresh and tasty. For entrees I ordered the seafood stew which was delicious. A lot of seafood. The staff is attentive and efficient. Virginia the hostess was absolutely amazing and friendly. Her family has owned the business for decades. Our waiter was Alfredo who was excellent. All the food was well prepared and presented nicely. Everything we had was delicious. It's definitely aimed a bit more for the North American palette but this does not mean it wasn't really good because it was. Cocktails were made with fresh fruit juices and were top notch. That being said, I want to make clear that this place isn't really all that diner themed other than perhaps the decor. The menus pretty limited to burgers and other types of sandwiches. They carry Beyond Burger (or maybe it was Impossible?) and then something else that is not very meat-like and it's more or less deep fried . . . but delicious. Well, because . . . fried! My friend and I both ordered burgers and she stated she was quite surprised that she enjoyed it, as an omnivore. I had the spicy burger and it was pretty tasty, although heavy on the vinegar based hot sauce, so if you're not into that - avoid! I also had the Snickers milkshake and holy balls, it was SOOO GOOD. Like I was planning on only having a perhaps half of the milkshake, just to try it, but I ended up gulping down nearly the entire thing, despite being no longer hungry after my burger! Service is kind of slow and meh. Like the server forgot my carbonated water until the very end of the meal, and I had to flag a server to order, despite it being not very busy. But I think that's kind of typical for the area.
