I can't begin to express what a relief it was to have Janet watching our cats when everything else seemed in chaos. My husband and I were trying to navigate a trip to help my elderly mom after knee replacement surgery (the day before elective surgeries were halted due to COVID-19) and had the trip extended unexpectedly when we realized she needed way more recovery time. When I had to change our first meet and greet due to my flight getting canceled five times (due to the pandemic) she was understanding and accommodating. When I finally got back (for just one day before returning to my mom) Janet listened attentively when I introduced her to our three kitties and when I showed her the medications for our elderly cat, asking great questions. When we were gone she visited our kitties twice a day, every day. She sent the most adorable pictures after every visit so we knew our cats were being looked after, along with detailed text updates and even occasional videos of them playing.Her messages were a ray of sunshine in what was otherwise chaos. If all that weren't enough, she found a better way to give our 19 year old IBD cat his twice daily medication AND she gave him his subcutaneous fluids. Having Janet as our guardian kitty angel was like having an old trusted family friend looking after our cats.

Everything seemed fine and we were scheduled to go out of town and had confirmed with the new sitter employed by Critter Sitters that everything was in order. Yesterday I asked for clarification about the billing since it seemed substantially higher with the new sitter over what we had paid previously - in response, I have been told that the sitter's schedule has changed and that I should seek care for my animals elsewhere. With little more than a week's notice, this was very unprofessional and disappointing to say the least. I've tried to communicate my experience to the owner of the company but the line has been busy for some time; will update this review if new information becomes available but sadly, I can no longer recommend this business and would seek care for pets elsewhere. Update: the owner responded and while appreciated, I find the way this situation was handled by Critter Sitters very unprofessional. I can include the text conversation for reference as I did not negotiate: I asked a question about a price difference between two different sitters employed by the same company, a difference of over 300 dollars. We LOVE PetMinders and our sitter Carly and strictly use them every time we need someone to look after our cats. Their booking process is easy and efficient and while they can't guarantee this all the time, we always get the same sitter. We also get adorable photos and updates after every visit, so we are completely at ease while we are away. And our cats are unbelievably shy, but they always come out to see Carly when she visits. Do NOT hire if you have cats…read more TL;DR = I have an automatic feeder and despite my clear instructions not to give them food, the lady gives them bowls and bowls of it. They gained several pounds during the 4 days I was away. When I told her the big mistake she made, she was defensive, unprofessional, didn't give me a refund or even apologize. NEVER AGAIN. In July I hired this company to take care of the kittens I had adopted in May. I went on a 2 week trip to Europe, and Lisa said she could come every other day since they were cats and therefore more independent. It went pretty well except for my apartment was messy upon my return (ex: open can of wet food sitting in sink) and I was charged extra than what was agreed upon because more food was purchased by the sitter to give the kittens. That should have been a red flag. Over the next few weeks I did more research on health for kittens and determined I wouldn't give them wet food anymore, and wanted to buy them an automatic feeder so they wouldn't overeat when I was gone for the weekend. In September I purchased the Crestuff Automatic Portion Control feeder. I love it. I set it to the correct portion size, and fed my kittens on a set schedule 4 times a day. I got them to their vet-recommended healthy weight. This past weekend I went on a 4 night trip and hired Lisa again to come every other day. She came over on Friday and Sunday. I left a very detailed email with the following instruction being the first: 1) As I mentioned, the kitties have an automatic feeder. There should be no problems with it at all, but please do check to make sure the display is still on. The feeder gives them food 4 times a day so you don't need to give them any. When I get back from my trip Monday evening, the first thing I see is a bag filled with soiled cat litter sitting outside my door. I live in an apartment complex with a dumpster conveniently located on your drive out. But what I saw inside was horrifying. My kittens gained SO much weight over the weekend! The tray for their feeder had an enormous pile of food on it, and beside the feeder was a large bowl filled almost to the top with their food! They were sick, sluggish, bloated, and their litter box was completely filled with poop. Before leaving for the trip, I made sure to fill up my feeder. It was now halfway empty. I was crying hysterically because I give my cats Blue Buffalo food, and they're only supposed to get 1/2 cup daily. So not only were they getting their normal 4 TIMES DAILY feeding, but they were given WAY TOO MUCH extra by the sitter, DESPITE my CLEAR instructions in writing. The point of an automatic feeder is that it's portion controlled, and you don't need to give them extra food. I emailed the sitter telling her the problem, saying she must not have much experience with taking care of cats and asked for a refund. This was her reply: "Actually I have a great deal of experience taking care of cats and I have over a hundred fifty clients. I was very hesitant to take care of them again because last time they were starving each time I arrived and Mosr pet sitting businesses will not take every other day visits because it's not safe for the cats. you are the only client I have and I specify only where the cats act like they are completely starving when I arrive. please feel free to check with the SPCA and humane society and other pet sitting business is on their policies for feeding animals every other day." She basically accused me of animal abuse and was so idiotic to not understand that I'm not feeding my cats every other day - I'm feeding them 4 times daily. She claimed that they were "starving"....cats always act like they're hungry because they don't know when they're full - which is why so many cats are overweight. Everyone knows that. Rather than an apology, she sends me a Client Incident Report where she typed out what she did. Here's part of it - "The new "automatic food " feeder was empty in the bowl and quite full at the top. I was not familiar with this type of feeder so I found the new box and read about it. The cats were still highly agitated so I made the decision to open the feeder and fill a food bowl for them. They ate the entire bowl while I was there and at one point were fighting over the food so I split it." REALLY?!? Are you kidding me??? Of course the feeder tray is empty. Because when the food is dispensed, the cats eat it right away. And really? Because it was "quite full" you think it's not working? The display was on. I told her that meant it was working. And really? You gave them a whole bowl? Could you not read on the food bag that they are supposed to get 1/4 cup- 1/2 cup daily? She goes on to say "Sunday, Both cats were again highly agitated and I could not tell if they had been eating. Again, not wanting to leave them without food and water, I gave them a bowl of food again and they ate the entire bowl while I was there." Unbelievable. Beware!!!

Everyone at Camp Kitty is incredibly kind, helpful, caring, and accommodating. They genuinely make you feel comfortable and give you peace of mind about leaving your fur babies in their care. You never feel like your cats are simply being "boarded"--you feel that they are being looked after by people who truly care about them. Their level of service is so exceptional that sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming! It is rare these days to find a business that combines such wonderful customer service with genuine compassion for the animals in their care. I am extremely grateful to everyone at Camp Kitty for taking such wonderful care of Jiji and Tosee. We took our eight-year-old cat, Ari, to Cat Care of Vinings on August 4, 2026, after noticing blood…read morein his stool. We paid approximately $1,150 for his examination, X-rays, bloodwork, medication, and two cans of veterinary prescription food. Fortunately, the tests did not reveal a serious condition, although we did not receive a clear explanation of what had caused the bleeding. Obtaining copies of Ari's medical records also required repeated phone calls and more than a week of follow-up. Dr. Elizabeth MedVed recommended Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets OM and arranged access through the clinic's Purina Vet Direct account. The available wet-food options were primarily cases of 24 cans. Because cats can be very particular about food, we wanted to purchase a few individual cans and try the available authorized flavors before committing to a full and expensive case. We found individual cans at a local pet store, but the store required valid veterinary authorization. When we called Cat Care of Vinings, we were told that we could purchase the food only through the Vet Direct account created by the clinic. They would not provide us with a written authorization or approve a request from another retailer. We were not rejecting the veterinarian's dietary recommendation. We simply wanted the freedom to purchase smaller quantities from a retailer of our choice until we knew whether Ari would consistently eat the food. On August 25, 2026, we sent the clinic a formal written request asking for the authorization or confirmation that they would approve a request submitted directly by our chosen retailer. As of Friday, August 28, after allowing three business days for a response, we have received neither the requested authorization nor any reply from the clinic. We found this experience unnecessarily restrictive, unhelpful, and disappointing, particularly after the cost of Ari's evaluation and the repeated follow-up previously required to obtain his medical records. Pet owners should be treated with transparency and should receive a response when making a reasonable written request concerning their pet's recommended diet. I will update this review if Cat Care of Vinings responds and resolves the matter professionally.

I drive by this place often but had only recently seen it. We are in the middle of an out of state…read moremove and needed 2 of our 8 cats to see the vet prior to that live. Our typical vet is quite far away from our home and one of the cats in particular is very anxious in the car so I wanted something close for the both of us (because moving time consuming so taking half of a day to go to the vet that an hour away isn't the best use of my time) I thought I would give them a try as they are much closer (only about 20min) and if it wasn't great it wouldn't matter much as it would be a one time visit. The process for your first visit is a bit tedious. They email you two forms you have fill out online before you can even make an appointment-this is for each cat so if you have multiples keep that in mind. I had to fill them out twice. At first I filled them out and submitted them. A few hours later I got a call saying they had some of the forms but not all but they could see that they were submitted. What? So I asked if I cooked schedule appointment and fill out the forms this evening (remember I'm in the middle of moving and work and all my normal life things) but no apparently they can't even look at a schedule without these forms. Okay...not a great start. So I fill them out again. Another hour passes before I get a call to schedual. As mentioned one of the two cats I was bringing in is very bad at being in the car. So I wanted specifically an appointment that puts us sadly avoiding any rush hour. I asked for a time between 11 & 1:30. Well they don't see patients during those hours. So get ready, because if you need to go the vet you cannot do that here without taking them away from work or sitting in Atlanta rush hour. Hope your cat doesn't mind the cat like mine does. At this point had there not been a time constraint I would have said never mind and found somewhere else but it was what it was. They reluctantly made an appointment for 12 am (so you can make appointments for 12?...I'm confused) Skip to the day of my appointment and they had moved my appointment from noon to 11:30. The only notice I got of this was via my email...which I was not checking regularly especially at that time when I'm so busy with other things (like packing for an our of state move). I just happened to needed to for something completely unrelated and lucked into seeing it. No call. No text. If I had not checked my email that morning then we would have missed our appointment. This also put me back in a longer car ride with cats who do not do well in the car-the whole reason I asked for the specific time window to begin with. So by the time I get there 'm already pissed if because so far everything about this place has been a hassle. Skip tot he appointment. I was there for nearly 3 hours total from start to finish. Staff was admittedly very friendly but 3 hours is absolutely wild. They prescribed my one very anxious cat with the same dosage of gabba that she had before despite my telling them it wasn't effective. They also did not have ot so I had to return. They also made me very anxious about a hernia that has been previously check and deemed safe by her perivous vet. This got me in my head and had me scared about it to the point of almost booking a surgery that isn't medically necessary. When we called back to get an estimate for surgery they said they couldn't know until they were doing surgery - okay so you just expect us to go in blindly on this economy? Have you not performed this surgery before? We also ed for a low and high end estimate and they just said they wouldn't know until the surgery was done. Sorry but no thats not reasonable. They also said they would need to do an other x-ray before the surgery as a first step and they once again could not give me a price for that. Which should be pretty standard. It is also important to note that this place was the most expensive base appointment rate we have experienced to date. So no I'm sorry I can't recommend this place. I went there for convince for a very nervous cat. Came away without a real solution (but spend $60 on the same meds that do not work for her) I have since moved out of state so I will not be returning but had that not been the case we would look elsewhere in the future. If you are making an appointment they have a very sweet hairless cat who loves attention so if you see her please give lots of pets
