It definitely exceeded my expectations. Instead of digital tickets, you just give your name to the host at the door at they'll lead you to your seats. Your server will then bring your drinks. Unsweetened tea, lemonade, and coffee are all complimentary but they have sodas and alcoholic drinks for sale. They also have dessert available for $7 as well. They can deliver the dessert during intermission which was perfect. Our server Maria was super friendly and on top of things. But all the servers and bussers were on top of it. We saw Cinderella and it was awesome. It was close to the original but a little modernized in the best way. There was plenty of crowd interaction and the actors were all fantastic. The props were cool but the costumes were even better. They also had a live band playing the music. Our seats were on the side of the stage and I wasn't sure we'd have a good view but the actors moved around the floor a lot and there was a tv on the side as well showing what was happening as well. I already bought tickets to another show and my family is looking forward to it.

Wife and I went to see "The Play That Goes Wrong" today. It was actually a lot of fun. The buffet…read morewas decent, with roast beef, tilapia, and several vegetable options along with salad and all the all the toppings. My only complaint is that there were little to no vegan and gluten free options available, as my wife is gluten free and vegan. All she could eat was a zucchini and squash blend, some cucumbers with French dressing, and some fruit that was a little tart. The service of the wait staff was fantastic. Jasmine did a heck of a job taking care of us. Addressed any concerns and made sure we had a good experience. The dessert at intermission was really good. My wife had some strawberry sorbet (v and gf) and I had a strawberry sundae. Both had real strawberries in them and the ice cream I had was great. Overall, I give them 4/5 just because of the lack of vegan and gluten free items in the menu. Also, handicapped parking was nonexistent, and we ended up parking on the street next to the theatre.

We got lucky enough to be seated in the second row but I wasn't a fan of how small the tables were. There's no way you can comfortably fit more than 2 people at a table but luckily it was just a friend and I. They do require a two item minimum purchase. While I'm not a fan of being forced to spend extra money, their website makes that very clear so I already planned ahead to eat here. I just kept it simple, chicken fingers and fries and a mocktail (can't remember the name.) The mocktail was a little too sweet for me but the chicken tenders were surprisingly good. Our server was really nice too and the food didn't take very long to come out. I had a good time seeing one of my favorite comedians and hope to catch many more shows in the future.

You can sometimes find street parking or something at the Circle Center Mall. The venue doesn't seem new and very well maintained. Some of the chairs are falling apart and it doesn't seem super clean. It is a comedy club though so not exactly there for the ambiance. My first time was to see Comedienne Sarah Sherman, then my first ever Drag Brunch which was Wicked Themed and incredible. Last Sunday I saw the Heated Rivalry Drag Brunch and am strongly considering retuning for Y2K one next month. The service can be hit or miss. The way the food is presented is inconsistent. Sometimes you get mimosa served in a Bud Light bucket other times you get a carafe. I had food served in a plastic container while others had actual plates. The prices for food & drinks are reasonable but there is a 2 item minimum purchase per person in addition to the tickets. I was sad to have missed Michael Che recently but Kevin Smith who directed Mallrats, Clerks, Chasing Amy Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob etc will be there soon. They do get some pretty good talent at Helium. I'll be back to catch another show.

Complimentary cocktail included which of course was fittingly called: the Big Bad Green Mother. Not sure what all was in there, but It was green and I'm thinking it had some Medori in it. A bit sweet, but delish. All the staff very quite friendly and we got lovely seats front and center. I'd say when you get a chance, upgrade to VIP. It's not much more and the seats as well as the welcome, the lounge & drink are well worth it. The show itself was absolutely fabulous and I would go see it again in a heart beat. I'll have to keep an eye out for their upcoming shows. See you there...

They had a Pretty Little Liars esque interpretive dance to open up the show, a Scooby Doo chase scene before intermission, and the costumes and acting were phenomenal. Something we didn't love was that when purchasing the tickets for the show, the website showed that we were sitting at tables and you picked which table you wanted to sit at. When we were seated though, the theater was all just one large section of very small theater seats, so that was misleading.

The steak was my favorite and it was absolutely delicious. Tender meat accompanied by a bright raspberry sauce, comforting potatoes, and fresh broccolini. Our server offered to butterfly the steak so we could each get the cook temp we preferred- what a wonderful suggestion! My husband enjoyed both dishes, but I preferred the steak. The lentil base had great flavors and would be a good choice for people that like soft textures. The flourless chocolate cake was delightful too. I love the beautiful interior design of the room and the would recommend a show there to anyone for a special occasion.

That said, I have to admit that both times I've dined here I was pleased with my meal. So yes, you're being forced to eat here. But it's not a bad meal at all. So if you see an act you're interested in seeing on the calendar and you can afford it, it's worth a visit.

This might be my favorite place/venue in the entire city. It is stunning. There isn't really a bad seat in the whole place and it is just so intimate and welcoming. The food and drinks are stellar. The staff is great. I could go on and on. If I wasn't already married by the time this venue opened, I'd have probably done my wedding here (which they offer), it is that beautiful. I also have to say that the variety and level of talent they bring to little ole' Indianapolis is just crazy! Alan Cumming, Jeremy Jordan, Stephanie Block, Jessica Vosk, etc. etc. So many incredible artists! Every time I am sitting there seeing a star sing to me, I almost have an out of body experience and feel like it can't be real that I am experiencing this in Indiana and not New York. They also do a jazz series that this little Broadway addict hopes to check out more in the coming years! Oh but unlike New York, they don't have a food or drink minimum for their Cabaret stage, score one for Indiana. To quote Broadway Star Matt Doyle at the end of his show: "This is magic, you are so lucky". We really are.

The event page said this was a formal evening, but it was pretty open. There was a good mix of party goers in Halloween costumes and fancy dresses and suits with masquerade masks. Dinner was provided by Yats. And it was really good. There was rice with gumbo, a bean and corn mix and vegetarian chili. I heard there was going to be a king cake but we never saw it. There was also a cash bar serving beer, wine and a couple of cocktails. I had a very small hurricane for $8 and my husband had a couple of beers at $6 each. Later in the night we found out there was free bottled water and soda. I loved the photo booth area. Everyone was posing for their perfect pictures.

Honestly, I had no idea what to expect because when looking at the event webpage and past pictures, it was very limited in the information. Highlights: + It was a four hour charity event with fun music and dancing were tickets were $60 + This themed gala event has been around for 5 years. The theme of the year was New Orleans Mardi Gras + Water and Soda was free +Cash bar was available. You had to purchase drink tickets at one station, and then you would go to another station to order and pick up your beverages + The Irvington Lodge was host to the event. There was an ample amount of parking in the area. There were two main rooms, a larger open room for the band and dancing, and another with tables for sitting and food. One of the biggest downsides, to the space was the lack of seating at times + Catering was provided by Yats and Jackamos Pizza. I can't really speak to the food, but people looked like they were enjoying it, including the traditional King Cake +Music was provided by an amazing Graveyard Stompers, a Halloween Rock Band that threw in some big Jazz band as well Overall, it was a fun night out that you got to wear a fancy dress and have fun.
