Texas Proper Detailing - After clean!

    Texas Proper Detailing

Called the day before and Rudy set me up with an appointment right away the next day on Monday at…read more8am! Drove me to the local Starbucks where I got some coffee and hung out for the 3 hour service. I will say I beyond impressed!!! My car looks, feels, and smells brand new!! Idk what kind of magic happened, but I'm beyond thankful. The price was extremely reasonable, but I always like to tip service workers! He only had time for the inside, but that's on me because that all I asked for. I asked for full inside carpet vacuum and cleaning, and that's EXACTLY what I got!! I will definitely be scheduling a body wash soon! I would 1,000% recommend!!

I rarely leave reviews like this, but after going back through the photos I took immediately after…read morethis detail, I'm honestly even more upset about the quality of the work. I paid close to $300 for an interior and exterior detail, and I genuinely cannot understand what was being done to my truck for the hours the detailer was here. I am not new to professional detailing services so I know what is an unreasonable expectation. For context, this was NOT a filthy or heavily used vehicle that needed some kind of miracle restoration. It is a four-year-old truck with less than 14,000 miles that spends 99% of its life sitting in air-conditioned garage storage. It was already relatively clean. I was paying nearly $300 because I wanted it properly detailed and thoroughly cleaned and ot because it was trashed to begin with. The appointment itself started off poorly. They canceled on me the day of the original appointment and rescheduled for the following day. Then the next day, the detailer was given the wrong address by the boss and ended up arriving more than an hour late. That part didn't bug me at all then. I understand that things happen and I didn't want to have them be more stressed out by me being upset about it. But looking back now, it really was the cherry on top of this whole situation. He was at the truck for roughly three hours, around 11:30 AM-2:30 PM, which makes the final result even harder for me to understand. Looking back through my pictures, there are so many extremely obvious areas that were simply not cleaned that I genuinely question what was being done during those hours. And these are not pictures I took days later after driving the truck around and getting it dirty again. I was already texting the owner pictures of the missed areas at 2:40 PM, basically immediately after the detailer finished. So there is no reasonable argument that this dirt accumulated afterward. There was visible dirt, dust, grime, residue, and missed areas throughout the truck. These weren't tiny imperfections that someone would need to inspect with a flashlight to find. Some of them were incredibly obvious. Looking at the pictures again, parts of the truck genuinely look like they were never cleaned at all. What makes this even worse is what happened over the following days. The products used on the interior have left the plastics and leather looking grey and tarnished, so now the truck actually looks and feels worse than it did before I paid nearly $300 to have it detailed. I can't even fix it myself when I attempted. I paid for the vehicle to be improved and instead I am now dealing with missed dirt, grime, grey-looking interior surfaces that were not like this beforehand. I contacted the owner directly, sent pictures, and explained the problems. I never received a response. That is ultimately why I am leaving this review. Mistakes happen, and I would have been willing to give a business the opportunity to address a bad job. Ignoring a customer after being shown photographic evidence of the condition the vehicle was left in is a completely different issue. At this point, I genuinely feel like I could have saved the nearly $300, gone through a drive-through car wash, used the free vacuums, bought a couple of microfiber towels and interior cleaner, and gotten the truck 100 times cleaner myself. For a truck with under 14,000 miles that lives in covered storage and was already fairly clean, there is absolutely no reason a professional detail lasting several hours should have ended with this many blatantly untouched areas. The most frustrating part is that I didn't pay almost $300 and simply get a mediocre detail. I paid almost $300 and ended up with a truck that is arguably worse off than it was before they touched it. I have timestamped photos showing exactly how the truck was left, and I contacted the company almost immediately after the service. Based on the quality of the work and the complete lack of response afterward, I cannot recommend this company. also, I forgot to mention that the exterior was still dirty. There were still bugs and dirt.
