Will say not super happy. My first ballet shoes and they don't fit well ! Not to say the staff is very helpful. But the fist time I went to the store I was definitely given a pair of ballet shoe, but since I was an absolute beginner, with no clue I just picked up my actual size shoe. After going to my first class I was informed by my instructor that the shoes were too big for me. Luckily I removed them immediately and called them ! But I went back to the store, they refused to exchange or store credit. Nightmare to just make this trip to exchange and then being refused after talking to them on phone ! I do not recommend this place !

Is dance experiencing a boom in Austin? It must be, because suddenly the options are numerous and…read moreexpanding. This is an enormous new dance clothing and shoes facility, right next to the Austin School of Classical Ballet and within a stone's throw of Walmart on Anderson. Size matters. It's not the coziest or even the most attractive place but they have serious room to grow. You could fit TEN of the old Movin' Easy store in this place. And there are several thoughtful and fun mini stages with mirrors for you to try out your clothing or shoes. Last time I visited Movin' Easy at its old location, service was excellent but there was only one person there. Today there were several service people and only one other customer. The clothing selection left me somewhat unimpressed. For example, one bubblegum pink girl's performance outfit was almost $200, and I know from experience that I can buy at least three fabulous tutus for that price on Etsy. Nevertheless, the opportunity to try things on before buying is beguiling and often more satisfying than opening a box.

My…read moreoldest daughter has been en pointe for awhile but hasn't found a particular shoe or brand that's her absolute favorite. Fitter Abby, also a dancer herself, took this into account and had her try on several pairs. She asked my daughter questions as to how her feet felt in each pair, how quickly she went up from flat feet, and allowed her to try on different pairs multiple times. She paused to help other customers as they came in, but did not rush us through. Our scheduled appointment took about 45 minutes, and I really feel like Abby genuinely cared about getting my daughter the best and most functional pair of shoes possible. There is also a loyalty reward program for shoppers. Thank you so much Abby and Dancer's Closet, we will return!!

In the last 6-7 months since the store opened, EJ has helped me with quite a few pairs of shoes across many needs. Finding an evening gown or prom dress can be quite challenging. I had searched high and low all…read moreover Austin from David's Bridal to Barton Creek mall to no avail. I was looking for special occasion dresses to fit my vision: refined and not too run of the mill. If you are in the same boat then start at this boutique because I have found success with two beautiful dresses from here. I love the layout of the store. I have been to dress warehouses which get overwhelming. This is a smaller boutique with dresses arranged by size then by color. The staff greets you and gets an idea of what you are shopping for. When it's time for a fitting room they take your dresses and set them inside the curtain for you. They kindly offer to help zip you up and are very respectful, never did I feel uncomfortable. Outside of the fitting room is a catwalk with a big mirror. They have an alterations person if you need one but be mindful that prom season gets very busy. The sales are final but if the dress is right then you know that won't be a problem. People told me I looked like a princess in the dresses I got from here and they made me feel beautiful :)

However, not even 15 minutes later other customers entered the store prior to the current business hours that are provided. My daughter did happen to find a dress she loved at this establishment however I chose not to purchase it because that should have been addressed accordingly. When people are charged for private expereinces that is what should be expected or don't attach a fee to the service. That also took us from initially having two associates to assist our party to only one associate until more staff showed up for work. I was able to find this dress available online and will be purchasing from there. Update: I find it funny how the owner who replied was NOT present and no one repeatedly entered and exited the building. We were all present and reviewing the dress requirements when customers of different races walked in because the door was unlocked and was never locked. Secondly no one cares what your fee is and trust you discounting the price isn't doing anyone a favor. I am not surprised that you found time to respond to my specific post. PLEASE shop elsewhere for dresses where you will be treated with respect and the owner takes accountability instead of trying to shift blame.
