While walking around Main Street with a fresh iced mocha in hand, I saw this sign for pistachio…read morefrappe. Without a second thought, I tossed my mocha for a pistachio. I am glad I did! The Black Iguana is a coffee shop within a country-centennial vibey store. I really do like pistachios and the frappe flavor was something new for me. I'm all about getting out of my warm, secure, comfort zone and trying new foods, drinks, events...The barista was so friendly with a cute smile and also said the pistachio frappe was her favorite. And the frappe tasted how I imagined it would, delish!!! Recommend: Pistachio Frappe (I ordered mine with almond milk cause I lack toes but the pistachio powder is dairy based, FYI for the plant based).

Fun, funky & hidden in an art store. Need I say more?…read more Apparently, since I was told that wasn't long enough to post... I accidentally stumbled on the coffee counter when I went in to browse. This is something I don't usually do, so I knew it was meant to be. While I did try a latte that my husband bought, and was very good, it was the tea that caught my heart. The staff are attentive, we are half syrup people, otherwise it's simply too sweet for us. They were more than happy to adjust, which is awesome. I can't believe I've been driving by this place for years without knowing it was there. As long as you're in the Main St area, pop in a few stores, never know what you'll find!

Coffee can be a little weak sometimes but that's because it is important to ask for it stronger/extra sweet. Everyone that works there is friendly and respectful and I know the owner works so hard to make sure that the space is inclusive and safe for ALL people. Love this local cafe, I would highly recommend the turkey and garlic aioli sandwich!!!

Prairie Almond Joy (almond, coconut& chocolate) 4. Perfect Matcha (matcha, strawberry & lavender) 3. Apple Chai 2. Garlic Parmesan - whaaat - not my winner? I'm as shocked as you & it was a TIGHT race for #1... let me tell you, there was practically an entire head of garlic in each scone & I loved it) 1. Oatmeal Cream Pie!!! (Aside from being nostalgic, it was the most unique. A completely unexpected delight of a not-to-sweet treat. Had that fresh baked soft oatmeal cookie texture & taste - yup, savory gal picks sweet for the win!) As always, service was great on out 4 boxes to-go for our scone throw down - 4 of us ranking our favorites & casting our votes. The official results may vary from my ratings. ; )
