Flowers were beautiful for my mom's memorial service! Purple, pink and white just as I requested.

Ok, so I think the flowers are beautiful, and they were delivered timely, and I was very happy to use a local florist and not a big company, but I was a little disappointed. I used their website which I found easy and user-friendly. I even got a delivery confirmation email, which was great. However, I chose a dozen pink roses and added a pink ribbon for an extra charge to send my mother-in-law who just broke her hip and then had to put her 16 year old kitty down after a long bout with illness. I wanted to send something to cheer her up. When she thanked me and sent me a picture it was a beautiful arrangement of red roses with a pink ribbon. I'm happy the flowers made her happy, but I wish they had contacted me by phone or by email so that I could have chosen a different color, because then I would've chosen white or yellow with a matching ribbon. Even with the red arrangement I would've preferred a matching red ribbon. Red is a little too romantic for my MIL in my opinion. Overall, I thought they looked good in the picture and they made her happy, so I will likely order from here in the future, but I will call or specify alternate preferences in the comments on my online order next time. read more

If an option, I would rate The Cutting Garden 10 stars. I can't say enough good about this business. Yesterday morning I placed an order online with From You Flowers (DON'T EVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE!) and I paid $7.99 extra for a guaranteed delivery today by 12:00 noon. Additionally, I was charged $2.99 for a same day/weekend delivery when neither was the case --- plus another $14.99 for a handling fee. 12:00 noon today came and went, the flowers had yet to be delivered. At 1:00, still no delivery, so I called From You Flowers because the office building for the delivery closes at 4:00. First, the automated bot told me no such order# existed in their system. When I spoke with a customer service rep, he found my order# but I was told there was no guarantee the flowers would be delivered today. I was told, even though the customer specifies a delivery date when placing the order, there's never a guarantee that date will be honored. WHAT??? What way is that to run a florist??? 99% of the time, flowers are ordered for a particular event and the delivery date is of paramount importance. In this case, the flowers were to wish someone well with her surgery tomorrow, delivery today was a must. So then I found The Cutting Garden online (a local florist) and I called there, even though I was convinced there wasn't enough time to accomplish a delivery today. I spoke with John who couldn't have been more pleasant, understanding, accommodating and professional. Only 30 minutes after hanging up with John, both he and the recipient sent me an email to let me know the flowers had been delivered. The recipient sent me a picture of the flowers --- they're exactly what I had ordered and they're beautiful. Going forward, I'll never order flowers from anywhere but The Cutting Garden. Be smart, do yourself a favor, and do likewise. The Cutting Garden is THE BEST --- in terms of customer service, reliability, quality and price. read more

I live in California but my daughter goes to McDaniel college in Westminster MD. I needed to send flowers for her birthday. I could have used any of the national flower delivery chains such as Pro Flower, etc. I always prefer to use small local businesses whenever I can. Anyways, on the day that the flowers had to be delivered, the school had closed due to severe winter weather. How do the flowers get delivered? Cutting Garden sought out campus police who were on duty to make sure the flowers were delivered. No way the national services would have done that. Great job, Cutting Garden!!! Ordered an arrangement on a Sunday night to be delivered Monday. The price was more than fair compared to a larger online company, and delivery to the Westminster area was only $10. No hidden fees.
