Beet cured salmon
Cindi W.

One of the BEST meals I've had in a long time. (And we eat out too much). If I could give it 15 stars i would because ten isn't even enough. Cute place. Cozy and small with a "speak easy" feel. Couldn't have been more comfortable. Service was absolutely on point and didn't miss a beat. We also met one of the owners who was delightful. Then there's the food. It could have not been more beautifully or perfectly prepared. The wedge salad was AMAZING. (Yah I know...it's just a wedge...but it was more than just a wedge). The bacon chunks and clearly house made dressing were awesome. House cured salmon small plate and elk chops were also perfect. And the brownie with charcoal crusted ice cream? Who the heck knew????? I'll also compliment their wine selection. And for the quality the price was quite reasonable. Can't wait to go back!!

First of all, I am writing a review for the Jupiter Beach location. I wasn't able to check in on…read moreJupiter. Well. we booked a 3-hour tour down the beach and anchored on a sandbar for the day. Before we left the dock, Captain Andy went over all of the rules and safety for the Tiki boat. It is BYOB by the way. They provide coolers and ice for you to throw all of your booze/food in. You can also hook up to the Bluetooth on board to listen to your music. So, off we docked and down the canal we went. Cpt Andy knew quite a bit about the homes that were along the way. People with money.... Once we got to the sandbar, we anchored and spent the three hours soaking up the sun while catching up with friends, good drinks, food and relaxing while Cpt Andy took care of making sure we had our drinks filled. He was a great host for the boat due to his personality. This was well worth the money!! We chose the 3-hour tour instead of the 2 hour. We were all glad that we did because we all thought the 2 hours would have flown by. Bottom line, if you want to get away and do something different with a group of friends, then this is it!!

The location was fantastic and shallow so we were able to walk around with ease and float on the floats. 10/10 would come back again.

From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed and taken care of. The food is always fantastic, and honestly, it makes it hard to try other restaurants because we know we're going to have a great meal here. The soup of the day is always a great choice, especially when they have the Italian wedding soup. You also can't go wrong with the surf and turf or any of their pasta dishes. The pizza is a must-order and hands down one of the best things on the menu. They even offer gluten-free options now, which is a huge plus! If you're sitting inside at the bar, be sure to ask Jeff for a Green Monster. It's his new specialty drink and definitely worth trying. For a more laid-back vacation vibe, grab a seat outside at the tiki bar and enjoy the island atmosphere. No matter where you sit or what time of day you visit, you'll get great service, great food, and a wonderful experience. Highly recommend The Islander!

Hidden gem on Singer Island, especially if you snag a bar seat…read more The Islander tiki bar sits in the hotel courtyard right next to the pool, steps from the beach, and when this place is hitting, it is slapping. Seating can be hit or miss, but the vibe and the food make it worth it. The food is a step above most of the island, especially with Johnny Longboats going downhill a little, though not quite up there with Ocean Avenue and its scratch kitchen. It tastes less like frozen, bagged, bulk restaurant food and more like things prepared in house. I could be wrong, but unlike other places on the island, the mahi always looks, tastes, and feels fresh. The prices deserve a comment too. They seem to have gone up the least of any restaurant on the island. A plain steak burger is around $15 and every burger is under 20 bucks, which is unheard of, especially on the island these days. The mahi tacos are out of this world. They're one of the only places on the island using small tortillas instead of a big quesadilla style one, topped with cabbage slaw and salsa, with rice and beans. I pile the rice and beans right onto the taco. $18.95, one of the better deals on the island. The only thing I'll say is the mahi portion was way smaller this time than 3/4 months ago. I'm posting both photos so you can see. Last time each taco had a thick fillet hanging over the tortilla, this time it was closer to half that. Still plenty of food, so I'm really not complaining. I just think these types of inconsistencies keep me from going back each week. They make wonderful pizza too, and the menu says the dough is made fresh every day. Real New York style pies in thin crust or thick crust, better than most in the nearby area. A small tomato and cheese is $14.95 and the gourmet pies are $16.95. Where can you get a pie for under 20 bucks these days? The happy hour flatbreads use the same dough and look very good too!! The mushroom burger is great, with real mushrooms and a true charcoal grill taste. Fries were a little cold, but they're the good fries. Happy hour deserves its own mention. It runs daily from 1pm to 10pm, at the bar only, no to go orders. The $9.95 bites menu has bang bang shrimp, two beef sliders, grouper bites with sweet Thai chili, pretzel bites with beer cheese, buffalo chicken flatbread, and beef nachos. Drinks are a deal too: $5 house liquor, house wine, sangria, margaritas, High Noon and White Claw, $4 domestic beers, $6 imports, and $7 call brands. They also have a great selection of regular appetizers. The tuna ponzu is so fresh and so good. Again, real food, not boxed frozen stuff. The soup is very good too. This weekend's special was Italian wedding, which you can't go wrong with. Tips: only about 13 bar seats plus some high tops. Off season you can usually get a bar seat, and it's the better experience. January through May and weekends it fills up early with timeshare guests. They seem to have gotten rid of the one bitchy bartender from last year. Sydney bartended both times I went this weekend and did a great job. Mostly vacationers, but locals go for the food.
