Saw this place in a local short film and had to come! It was so cool! I believe they have league on a couple week nights, I went on a Thursday and some of the tables were taken for that, but after a short wait we were able to get a table! The bartender was super nice and got us drinks quickly. Everything was clean and enjoyable. I believe it was $9 an hour to play but I didn't pay so I'm not sure how much it actually was. A nice man at the bar gave me a slice of his pizza and it was really good and apparently you can also bring in your own food too. read more

A cool pool halll for a chill night out with reasonably priced cocktails and entertainment( pool/darts). They do have leagues that play here. It can be crowded during those times. Overall 8/10. read more

They have pizza that is delicious plus they will allow you to bring in outside food. Cathaline is a wonderful bar tender she's sweet and funny and she'll take care of you. Tables are good, they do have leagues so open play can be limited. They have a jukebox which is nice as well. read more

Our New favorite place to play pool. Very clean black & teal colored tables with Black leather trim. Tables have matching pastel balls. They look sharp - an Upscale look for sure. The pool cues and balls are well taken care of. Tables are pay tables and only a buck a game. Wait staff is always pleasant. The place is often crowded but If you're willing to wait just a bit you'll get an awesome table. The manager/owner seems very nice - goes out of his way to make sure you're playing pool and having fun! Side note - there are leagues on many weekday evenings so u could call ahead if you don't wanna have a drink and wait for a table. We live in IL but are willing to drive to The Cue over closer places. It's well worth it!!! read more

A few changes lately: The Diamond 9' house table is gone, and they've upgraded from 8 to 10 7' tables. Golden Tee is gone - not sure if this is temporary. I believe a 3rd soft-tip electronic dartboard is being installed. A new TouchTunes jukebox was installed about a week ago with account access with which you can create playlists. In addition to TJ's pizzas, they also have hot pretzels and nachos as well. read more

my brother and I visited this billiard hall. What a pleasure. We played several games... 8 ball 9 ball and straight billards call your play on the table tables were excellent. graet counters on wire reminds me of the Hustler 1961 film. all tables good and very level with a pronouced paused slow drop cushions, responsive , we rented custom cues - recommended. Rest rooms were clean and orderly. Pretty decent pool hall in my opinion. Only issue is the tables I've seen are quarter tables, not hourly rental tables. Now, you can rent these tables but they're overpriced based on other places I've been in the past. It's $1 per game which is standard and the tables seem to be the regulation size (I could be wrong) as most quarter tables are generally smaller in size unlike hourly rental tables. The drinks were pretty cheap which is good too. Parking sucked the night I went but since the laundromat is gone you can ignore those "parking for...only" signs which is good. read more

Just went there for the first time last night, and I was pretty impressed. Very laid-back vibe, cheap beer (domestic bucket was $15, craft bottles were $3.75), and all-around fun place to hang out. The non-smoking aspect of it was a big plus. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that they don't rent tables by the hour, so if you're planning on playing a lot, you're gonna burn through some cash. With how cheap the beer was, though, it wasn't that big of a deal. Update: I just dropped my 4-star review to 2. Last time we went there, the bartender tacked two extra dollars onto my friend's credit card to boost her tip. Yeah, it's only two dollars, but that's just blatantly ripping off your customers. Couldn't have been more happy with our time spent at The Cue! Right off the start, we told the bartender that we were first timers and didn't know the ropes of how exactly to go about claiming a table. Michael was extremely friendly and helpful with showing us the ropes. He even walked around to the people at the open play tables to see approximately how many games they had left. Tables are based on a first come, first serve basis. We hung out over at the bar for 15-20 mins and had a few beers while chatting with Michael. Before we knew it, a table opened up and we were ready to play! They have community cues available for free for people that don't play regularly. $1 games. Pristine table. Exceptional staff service. Very laid back bar with lots of accessible pool tables, darts, and big screen tvs with a variety of programing (not just baseball and football - always fuel.tv and goal on at least one screen). Wide variety of clientle who are very sociable - not stuck up regulars - and very friendly bar tenders and staff. No food besides pizza, but Porter's Chicken is next door and Jimmy Johns will deliver without any trouble. Drinks are very reasonable and holiday, party and charity events are held regularly. During the week there are lots of people there for APA pool league who are more than happy to find some new team members. Parking can be tight on Friday and Saturday but overflow parking is available at the gas station at the end of the shops. Overall, a very friendly place to hang out. read more

I Like it!! Pretty simply put, it is Beer and Billiards. I haven't been here for several years and we figured we would give it a shot. Nothing fancy with the beers but they do have a good selection for good prices and they are cold (probably 20+ ranging from pool hall beer to some ciders and Guiness). The tables played great. They are Coin-op and there are several which made getting on a table a breeze. They have one table meant for Challenges, which is nice when you are on a date, you don't have to deal with people trying to steal your table from you all night. The reason I went to this place in the past is because Porters Friend Chicken is next door, which is my favorite in the St. Louis area. If I lived a little closer this would be my hangout. Although they don't offer much on the menu, they do have pizza and pretzels with cheese and right next door is some of the best fried chicken and fish in the area at Porter's! McDonalds right across Big Bend. The jukebox music is a trip. Because of the diverse crowd, you'll hear everything from the latest releases to old show tunes, which is usually followed by some fun-poking at whomever played it! Country, rock, ska, hip-hop, and always some death metal in there somewhere. The Cue often has special events outside of the league finals and tournaments. Super Bowl parties, birthday parties, St. Patty's Day, Halloween, they know how to keep it fun. read more

You can tell this place is owned and operated by a pool player. The tables are kept in top notch condition. I play league there and when we venture elsewhere for tournaments we can tell a big difference in the tables. Also, the bartenders are great and the place is very clean. Not a lot on the menu (pizza and pretzels) but they keep a stash of delivery menus for those long days or nights of play. Oh and lots of tvs to keep up with StL sports teams while you play pool. read more

Came here with my fiancé to play pool with my sister and her boyfriend who were visiting from out of state. This "pool hall" won't even let you play if you have underage individuals in your group. My fiancé and I are young professionals (doctor and lawyer). We came in looking to solely play pool. I understand if there's some sort of restriction due to the fact that the establishment serves alcohol, but then it should stamp hands to make sure anyone under 21 doesn't get served. read more

The place is cheap for pool and every time I have gone we have never had to wait for a table. Occasionally there have been issues with the tables or having the right balls, but the staff is nice and helpful. I'm not a big pool player but the place is not intimidating and they seem get all levels. If it had a better beer selection I'd increase the stars. read more
