Piercing is done with a needle versus a gun but he was very precise with the location of the piercings and confirmed the placement before the poke. Because of this they do not pierce under 6 yo which is understandable. My son and I have been looking for a good tattoo spot since he's been itching to get one so I think we found our spot. I got a conch piercing by Benjamin Reel, and if i could give more than 5 stars i definitely would. to start he gives you a sense of trust that most people dont give me. he put dots on my ears to show where he would put the piercing and he asked me 2 or 3 times if that was where i wanted it, i appreciate that because ive gotten a lot of half assed piercings (that werent done by him.) This should be less than one. I have a tat facing the wrong way. Nice design but he talked me into facing it wrong because he drew it wrong and didn't want to change it. I also had a tribal design drawn on he here but he never wanted to finish his work. My friend also had a chest piece done here and the dude couldn't pull a straight line. One line has a curl off of a straight line where he f";:ed up. I wouldn't trust these guy to tattoo my dogs lip. They seem to all suck Oh yes, I call the dude who drew my tribal about finishing. I asked when he planned on finishing and he got rude and told me to find another shop. Also that no one in his shop would fix my shit. I found a much better shop in the Woodlands that completed my tattoo and I love it. He did have to fix the jagged lines the other guy drew. I came into the shop with a simple Navy pinup girl idea to commemorate the ten year anniversary of my father's passing. Freakshow took the time to ask more about my father's time in the Navy. Upon learning he served on two submarines he took the time to look up each ship to add them into the piece. He made sure to catch the details that differentiated the two of them, one being a nuke and the other being a spy ship. The nuke is shorter and fatter, and the other is longer and skinnier. He also took the fact that I do pinup modeling, and made the girl a redhead like myself as well as tattooed. He went above and beyond to make this piece truly special for me. Even matching the uniform color to the same type of blue that was in my father's enlistment photo. As for the shop, the absolutely chill atmosphere, awesome jams, and a kick ass group of artists! The vibe in the shop makes for a totally relaxing and enjoyable tattoo session. The knowledge each artist shared with me was not only educational, but extremely intriguing to hear them speak about their passion of the art. I HIGHLY recommend coming to The Crow's Nest for your next or even first tattoo! Tell your friends, your momma, her friends, and her momma's momma! 10/10 WILL be back for more work asap! i came in and asked if they had time to do a matching tattoo for me and my mom, and the guy (i would tell you his name but he never gave it to us) told me he could fit us in. we came in, showed him the design we wanted, and he got us set up. he was very friendly and talkative, which was nice, but the fact that he didn't give us his name or ask for either of our names kind of made me feel uncomfortable. after he was done, he bandaged us up and sent us home. i wouldn't mind the lack of personal connection we had if our tattoos had turned out perfect, but they didn't, at all. mine is blotchy in some places and faded in others, despite it being almost brand new. my mom's is worse. it has MAJOR bleeding of the ink and distortion of the lines. only giving this place 2 stars because of the short wait. would not recommend to anyone i care about. read more
