No I'm not a former employee of the property management company. But I am a retired property manager and I can honestly say you get out of the experience exactly what you put into it. FACT OF LIFE, if you are grumpy, always complaining and looking for problems, PEOPLE will avoid you. Not Guardian or the management team, they're pretty patient, but just ordinary people who have no desire to deal with that kind of a person. Before you complain about others first check your own attitude. The apartments are small but very comfortable, well laid out with plenty of room for furniture, sounds contradictory but it's not, lots of storage space and maintenance is friendly and responds faster than most. The park like grounds and buildings are kept immaculate. Yes it's hot in the summer and cold in winter, get an air conditioner and put on a sweater like everyone else in the country! If you're patient you'll find your home here. When you do take the time to get to know the management team and residents, introduce yourself, go to morning coffee, shake a few hands and smile. Having the pond nearby was a plus and we were within a 25min driving to almost everywhere in Portland.
