This Apartmemt complex use to be a great place to stay, it has went down drastically over the course of 5 years. Amy was the last apartment manager that really cared about the tenants. I been dealing with a leak in my apartment for over a year now. I put on over several maintenance requests but to resolution. I'm in the process of finding somewhere else to stay. This should be a breech of lease not fixing repairs. read more

The management team, to include the manager of the Cresent at 161 has completely changed this community for the better. They have increased the safety and living condition. They have increased the quality of life and now hold this community in the highest of standards. I recently moved to the crescent at 161 and was scammed into a lease and it's been a nightmare since . I was supposed to have a newly renovated unit. I paid reservation fee online and upon signing my lease ; learn it's not even the unit I had a virtual tour of. I was already moved out of my house and she said that unit wasn't available and I'd lose my money otherwise . I was forced to pay a deposit for my Daughters emotional support dog to avoid problems and a monthly pet rent. I've read others claim the lady is scamming people that pay cash. Denies availability to people over the phone when they call and ask questions about the units available. Stonemark management LLC is the new management company. They advertise and show luxurious photos on the website and supposedly did a full fledge revitalization and face lift to the property; however it's all but the truth. Chamber of commerce had a ribbon cutting weeks ago all for the cameras and ran a huge advertisement . Behind the scenes these apartments are inhabitable . There is mold, dangerous and unstable patios that are rotten and falling apart from termite damage. What's even worse is a corrupt office management who covers for the maintenance man who steals from apartments while they're suppose to be fulfilling work orders. They're also taking fees for amenities, amenities that don't exist. There is no pool or workout room, all the things that would draw people in and listed on the website is false advertising . they're not really there. There is not a on duty courtesy officer, or in unit appliances let alone ones that work: management on site is actually a con artist . Now they're retaliating and illegally evicting tenants that speak out. Shootings, smash and grabs and police busts are an every day occurrence here as of late and I've only been here 2 1/2 months . Most recently after a series of complaints about my neglected maintenance requests that still haven't been addressed, the maintenance man walked out of my apartment with my belongings in his work bag and marked my requests as completed nothing was fixed . I started to see that these people don't care about anything but tacking on unlawful fees and taking peoples money. I was conveniently locked out of the rental portal and kept from paying my rent after I sent an email about bogus charges for extra pet that doesn't exist, as of today I still I can't pay my rent because they tacked over 250 dollars in on fees for a extra pet I don't even have and it's pay the balance or face late fees. This is what they do and the corporate office is impossible get in touch with . Last month I paid more than my rent with promise they would make it right . After Multiple complaints Trameka Minor the apartment manager says I can break the lease without penalty. Two months after moving in and making a move in check list for an apartment that was all but what I thought I was signing a lease for . Upon research and talking to my neighbors of my community I realize there are many more tenants like me and I have photos and contact info for their living conditions they're forced to live in as they well. Most recently a teacher and her husband were forced out and it seems the system in Mississippi is designed for the landlords and taking any action against these slum lords is impossible Apartment manager called me racist and hung up in my face instead of taking action to make my account right so I could pay my rent and refused to get work orders done .these people are scams and need to be turned in. read more
