Can I give 10 stars?…read more We have been fans since we first tried them at the DSM Farmer's Market last summer (2024). We have had ... Dutch Apple Lemon Meringue Blueberry Crumble Custard A chocolate that I can't think of the name of, and don't find on the menu, but basically a chocolate mousse. I'll start with the crust. Magnificent! Thick, flaky, and delicious. It's fun to break pieces off the sides and dip it in the filling. Each of their pies are perfect examples of classic pies. The Dutch Apple was rich and cinnamony. For the other older folks who grew up in this town and remember those Lemon Tarts you got from Dahls when you were a kid. You can go get one that tastes pretty much the same here. I had not had a custard pie in years. Theirs is smooth and sweet and wonderful. The chocolate I had was downright decadent. The Blueberry Crumble is a thing of beauty. I don't tend to like blueberries much, but my wife was in danger of losing her pie. (ok, no danger, she is much tougher than I am). They are doing so much business at the store they are not doing the Farmer's Market any more. I would recommend ordering or getting there early. This place is really special. (I don't have any photos, we ate our pies too quickly)

Requesting unseasoned salmon & received a salmon with seasoning. Orders came out wrong, our appetizers must've been ordered at different times as one came out 2 minutes before the entrees. When I came in it was a minute before being greeted, with 5 ppl noting me - as someone who worked in the industry for 11 years, a simply "someone will be right with you" would've had me feeling fine.

There were four employees behind the counter and one seemed new, we had the newer employee making our ice cream which was delayed slightly as we got fresh chocolate (delicious btw). It was about an average noise level for a group of 10-15 as that's how many customers they had at the time.

Brick Street Café is easy to find. It's nestled inside of the Fareway store. Just to the left as you enter. Parking is normal for a grocery store. So no issues there... They also offer a drive-through. It's seat yourself. The seating is a combination of low top tables and chairs and booths. There are a few counter seats as well. The menu is surprisingly large. I know they won Iowa's best tenderloin in 2014...and I hadn't been here yet.... That made my decision on what to order really easy. I upgraded to a premium side of fried mushrooms. For a drink, I went with the unsweetened iced tea. Staci was my server and she did phenomenal. I had a short wait for my food. It came to the table, piping hot. Much to my chagrin there was lettuce and tomato on my tenderloin... But like any good GenXer I fixed it myself and didn't say a word. It's definitely a quality tenderloin. Nice and thick. But not too thick. A very consistent breading. They did a nice job tenderizing it. There were no tough spots at all and it just kind of breaks away when you take a bite. The mushrooms were obviously fresh out of the fryer. I've got the second-degree burns to prove it. Lol I'm okay with that because I sure don't want them cold. Everything was cooked perfectly. Service was wonderful. It's order and pay with your server at the table. I'd put the tenderloin on par with the one at the Dexfield Diner or B&B. https://www.facebook.com/share/18oQ84LDNk/?mibextid=wwXIfr https://thebrickstreetcafe.com/
