I was in Australia for business and a coworker wanted to show me around. He said he was wanting to try this place so we went. Hands down some of the best pork ribs I've ever eaten. I love BBQ and have eaten it all around the US south. Who knew I had to go half way around the world to have ribs this good. They were pulling brisket out of the smoker when I was there. Would love to try it if I'm ever back. They had a local seasonal beer that was good too. Some type of red ale but can't remember the name. read more

We booked a table for 6 of us to attend to celebrate a bday on Sunday at 12:30. When we went to order we were advised they had run out of Beef brisket and pulled pork (the 2 reasons we were there). Essentially no other smoker meat on offer. At this point, the entire group had to order chicken bites. The worst part was how the staff handled the issue. We received a confirmation text in the morning for our reservation (no mention of the fact they had no smoked meat available). We arrived and seated ourselves, went and placed an order for drinks, first shout $38 (again, no mention of the fact they had no smoked meat available). Eventually when we ordered and we're advised of the issue we were met with an uninterested apology from the staff. What a joke of a place. Extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Very good food, served as promised, no issues. Brisket was incredibly tender, flavourful, and sauce on the side just perfect. Chips perfectly cooked and even the slaw was tasty. It's a casual place--you order at the bar and they bring the food to your table. It does take some time, so relax and don't be rushed. I'd prefer to get my food good and right, not fast. So keep the time required in mind when making plans. Family friendly, nice staff, and good bar selection with incredibly posh drinking glasses. (Sometimes it's the little things.)
