The space here is really lovely with classic video games and couches. Both barbers were very friendly and I had a really nice chat getting to know mine. I am usually unimpressed with haircuts I get, but this place just 'got me' and listened to exactly what I asked! It was also fun trying to avoid the scary parts of a horror movie that was on while I was trying to keep my head straight. It led to a great chat about recent films and some of the story of our lives. If you want a friendly, clean and laid back vibe, this place is great. Currently opening hours on Yelp state 2pm but the shop's open till 6 most days fyi. read more

I've been going to The Craft for 2 years now and before then, it was a tedious trial and error process to find a good barber shop. The Craft offers a welcoming atmosphere that is friendly, respectful, chill, and most importantly, professional. Any barber who works here will provide you with a quality cut, friendly conversation, and make sure you are feeling and looking good before you leave. Their prices may be above average compared to your local franchise like Supercuts, but I guarantee that this family-run barber shop makes up for the extra cost from the work they put in and this is truly what sets them apart. The Craft is about providing a family friendly experience to customers where they can relax, forget about their stress, and enjoy a quality cut. There is no better employee that embodies this more than Art. I've chosen Art to be my barber for over a year now because of his focus, calming nature, and patient approach to cutting hair. Each time I'm in his chair, I feel like I'm getting the most important cut of my life. He takes his time making sure that everything is cut perfectly and will line you up with style as he makes you feel like a million bucks. I've never met another barber who consistently pays such close attention to detail with every cut. It's refreshing to see how passionate and serious Art takes his work considering how goofy the friendly banter can get in a men's barber shop. I would not have written this review 2 years ago as The Craft back then had a very different team dynamic and vibe. Now, I can confidently recommend The Craft as the best Men's barber shop in Camarillo. Their team is solid, communication is prompt, and customer satisfaction guaranteed. Guillermo's management and leadership has crafted a team of respectful young men who provide quality service and respect to their community and it has truly shown. If you're looking for a new barber shop, check out The Craft in Camarillo. You will not be disappointed. HORRIBLE haircut, asked for barely anything taken off the top and provided reference pictures, JACOB basically buzzed the sides of my head and took over double the length off the top requested. hair is choppy, uneven and unblended. Haircut requested was basically a cleaner version of the hair I already had. Management then lied to me about giving me a call back about a resolution hoping I'd let it go. read more

It was my son's first time getting a big boy haircut... He is three! We went to The Craft Studios as a walk-in, and Alonso took care of us. He was amazing, he talked to my son and walked him through everything that he was going to be doing. During the haircut we had great conversation! My son was super comfortable and relaxed with him! He is very honest and trustworthy and will tell you what will look good and what won't which is greatly appreciated considering it this was the first big hair cut I was giving my son and I was super nervous. We 100% will be going back! Thank you Alonso for making this experience memorable. I am so happy with how his haircut turned out and so is he, he loves it! read more

When I first moved to Camarillo I went to Sport Clips to get my hair did because it was close to my house and it was easy to book a chair. However, after multiple haircuts where I thought I looked good when I left the place but then two days later you see your hair growing out all funky and uneven, I decided it was time to grow up and go to an actual barber. A quick Yelp search led me to The Craft Studios where I was lucky enough to meet Charlie. Let me just say that Charlie is a man of a beast when it comes to cutting hair. He actually took the time to look me over and give me advice on what might look best based on the way my hair grows instead of just giving me the ol' cookie-cutter routine. On top of always leaving me looking fly as hell, he's also just a good dude and a great conversationalist. He takes his time and doesn't let you leave until you are 100% stoked about the way you look. The Studio is a really cool place as well, always feels like your just hanging out with your homies and it has a really relaxing vibe. I'm happy I found this place and I would definitely recommend it. read more

Im from Boston Soo finding a consistent barbershop has been tough for me. Especially with covid, I haven't been able to get into the shops as much as I'd like. I finally got sick of the haircuts at home and decided to try out craft studios. Super nice set up inside and very friendly staff. We connected the whole time and memo gave me a Yerba mate! Loved the haircut (I'm usually picky) and would probably go back for the time I'm in camarillo. I just wish they were a bit better about wearing masks fully so I could feel a bit more comfortable. read more

I needed a hair trim right after the pandemic shutdown. Finding an available appointments at local salons was a struggle. I said to myself, maybe I will try a barber. After all, I just needed a trim. I stumbled upon Craft Studios and Charlie gave me a haircut that came out great! I brought my husband and kids the following week and they have been getting their haircuts with Charlie ever since. The atmosphere is so friendly and everyone there treat us with full respect. The boys enjoys going to the shop not only for haircuts but also for the conversations, jokes, and stories. My husband and kids love their haircuts every time. read more

This barber shop is not the best for walk in's at all! When I went in for a walk in, a young man cut me up and I noticed before he even started he did not clean is clippers and left me a mark that became into a break out on my forehead. The shop seems more family own than owed by a business owner. I would recommend Goodfellas Barber shop. read more

I had tried several barbershops in Oxnard that could cut my sons hair. All of them made us feel ignored and ashamed for being a walk in. The craft studios is the opposite of all those other barbershop. You get greeted and acknowledged as soon as you get in and offered some water or coffee. Guillermo takes his time to get my sons haircut looking good the first time. I've never have had to ask to get my sons cut fixed, it always comes out perfect. The place is always clean, tvs all around, and music is bumping just right. This place is so good that it's worth the drive from Oxnard. Definitely the only place I trust for my sons hair cut. read more

The worst haircut I've ever had. I asked for a low fade and the guy shaved the whole back of my head. Don't even bother.

I spent 45 minutes waiting for the older gentlemen to shut the fuck up and actually cut hair.

The Craft is one of my happy places. EVERYONE inside is awesome and know how to leave you smiling and laughing. Danny Boy is my guy for my boys' haircuts....they all do great work though. You wont leave disappointed! Thank you The Craft for offering such a great Barbershop and a bigger thank you to Danny Boy for your amazing skill and your humor. Don't waste your time or risk having a bad cut elsewhere! read more

Went in there to get clean up. Walk out with my best haircut and shave. Beard looks clean. Arthur your the man. Thanks.

First timer, friendly, knowledgeable, and talented on their CRAFT! José understood my kind of hair!

Brandi deserves a five star review and it is long over due. 1. She is super easy to schedule with 2. She was able to find the perfect cocktail to deal with my hot mess hair - not an easy task. 3. In my opinion, her pricing is very reasonable. 4. She knows her craft. She's experienced. 5. She puts in the work even if you have way to much damn hair ;) I found her in Camarillo in my college days and moved away at some point and then moved back to the area. In that period i never found someone else who I trusted or understood how to deal with my hair. read more

Danny Boy just hit a grand slam with my grand-baby's haircut. He's so good my grand baby fell asleep during the haircut. The environment is super positive and everyone greeted us as we walked in. Do not go to JOE. He rushed the hair cut saying hes cut hair forever and knows how to cut fast. Ask me if i want to cut the sides off the top to have it stick up (i have longer curly hair on top) as im saying no leave it i like the curls he just cuts them and says youll like it. Now i have short hair all around my head and some long hair in the front. Also after seeing how bad the cut was he asked if i wanted a line up and i said no to keep him from pushing it back and i say clean it up only. He starts to push the sides out and CHANGES MY HAIRLINE. I specifically asked him to not push it back and he says i can see were your lines up supposed to be. I can see were the hair was supposed to be now on my forehead. He doesn't listen to what you say and will rush through the haircut. Dont go to Joe. Still paid for the 30 dollar over priced haircut. read more

I stopped by to make an appointment or as a walk-in either was fine for my 9 year old son since I was in the area and need a new barber. They got him in right away with Charlie and he was so great! This place rocks!!! Randomly called at the last minute to get my 2 girls haircuts before school started. Chelsea answered the phone and offered to stay late so she could cut their hair. First of all this is a barber shop. I'm an out-of-towner and I needed a haircut. I normally pay $50 for a haircut at home. I came here 3-4 weeks and got a haircut from Charlie and at the time the haircut was $20, so I was pleased with my haircut and tipped the kid $20 so it was $40 total. I came back 3-week later and got a haircut from Charlie again. When he finished, which he only took 10-minutes to cut my hair while leaving a few times to get something out of his car, just unprofessional!! I kindly asked, how much is the haircut? He answers $30, I still tipped him $10. This is not so much a review of Craft Studios but more of a review of the barber Charlie. Hey kid?! why couldn't you just be honest? $30 for a 10-minute haircut and the price goes up $10 from 3-weeks when I tipped you $20. It's not about the money as I normally pay $50 for the cut, it's about the principle. I get that you have a wife and kid you need to feed, but maybe you didn't pay attention to the life lessons on honesty and integrity. Remember kid, good news travels fast and bad news travels faster! Charles you are a dishonest kid! Before coming here, I would call and recommend asking how much a haircut is before coming to this place! Just my 2-cents. The funny thing is if the kid would have been honest I would have tipped him $20 instead of the $10 I gave him. Yeah, I'm not coming back. Buyer beware!!! read more
