There's so many talented guys there. Highly recommend. Super cool vibe and they cater to each client. No matter who you get you're in for a treat. Morris aka Looney hooked my cut up and so I'll be coming back. Slicks is definitely the spot to go to in Camarillo. read more

Cancels on clients and asks to move appointments constantly. Half the time you show up, nobody's there. He no-call no-showed on our last appointment after we skipped a sports practice to get there. Lots of excuses, and ultimately we left for a more reliable experience. read more

My husband tried to book with Slick, but instead a woman told him that he actually booked with her so he said it was fine because he needed a haircut. The womans name is not even on their booking site so I cant put her name on here. He went in for a fade and came out with a bowl cut. The worst experience ever. She took almost 2 hours and kept asking the older guy that was there on what she needed to do next every time. We loved Slicks work but just for this experience were never coming back. read more

Slick cut my hair and it was one of the cleanest I've got since moving out this way this past year. I've been to numerous barbers from Oxnard to Thousand Oaks and Slick was one of the top contenders in the mix easily. Stop-by this whole shop is legit. read more

Slicks was great! The haircut and beard trim were well done, the conversations were amazing, and the shop itself is really cool. Definitely coming back here for my next cut. read more

Slick’s Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Camarillo, California

Robert is the absolute BEST!!! My son was so scared and timid for so long. I'm talking screaming bloody murder while getting his hair cut every time. He became such a stressful experience for both of us. Robert took his time to build trust. He was incredibly patient and kind with my son, determined to win him over. Of course, he did!! Being a barber is so much more than a job to Robert. He is passionate about his clients, especially little ones that may be nervous or scared. He will work with them until they are comfortable and he's won them over! Not to mention, he does a fantastic job. :) Slicks is a really cool barber shop as well. The owner seems like an awesome guy. read more

My son was going through a "beanie" phase and would not take a beanie off for the past couple of months. Tween problems. Anyway, when he took it off his hair had become a mess. This spot is near me so I sent him over there and Jeff did a wonderful job and he enjoyed the "guy vibe" over there. He wants to go back and I think the beanie is only going to be on when it's cold! Thanks for the cut! read more

Slick’s Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Camarillo, California

This place did a great job on my hair, I really think this is one of the best barber shops in Camarillo.

I had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. The conversation was enjoyable, and the haircut turned out great. This barbershop is spotlessly clean, has a relaxed ambiance with good music, and the staff is very friendly. Without a doubt, it's one of my preferred local businesses in the community. read more

Robert has been my barber since he worked at another shop, and he has been very great at cutting my hair. At this new place he is at now is awesome, great vibe and greeted when you walk in. Owner of the shop is very respectful. Robert is a great addition to this shop and will be coming here more. They accept walk-ins but also you can book an appointment online on their website, easy to use read more

First time I went there a lady cut my hair, she did a below average job. Second time the gentleman Slick was late and kept going on about how stiff my ears are... never coming to this barber shop again read more

Google and yelp said this place was open. But when I walked up to the door yesterday at 2pm it was locked. I looked through the door and it was empty. There wasn't a sign saying it was closed or something explaining why it was closed. Does this place close whenever the owners feel like it? If you're closing early at least have a sign on the door. Which sucks because I don't even live in Camarillo and this place was recommended by someone I go to university with read more

Go get your hair cut here! Slicks barber shop is nice! Cut came out near perfect, great conversation, family oriented, real chill vibes, if i were to explain my experience in one word "phenomenal" quality service is excellent. See you again read more

Awesome place for a cut. Amy did a fantastic job! Highly recommend this shop! I will definitely be back for another cut in the future! read more

Not sure how they messed up an appointment that we booked several days ago, but somehow they "forgot" about it? No one was there! Called the numbers on their website & they not answered the second time...and the guy was rude. If they were running late & I had gotten a phone call, it would've been understandable, but really? read more

Slick's has the best barbers in the area. This is the only place my kids will come to get a haircut. But I'm giving 3 stars because their appointment system needs some improvement. I made an appointment for my son at 5:30, and had to wait over an hour to be seen. It wasn't because there was a lot of people. It was obvious that they didn't plan for our appointment because only one barber was available. The barber that was working was really nice and apologized for the delay. But it wasn't his fault, obviously the management of appointments is what needs to improve. read more

I'm not one who's into social media or writing reviews, but I felt compelled to write about Slick's BarbershopI am very thankful & humbled to have met such a great guy. He's a special soul who gives more than he gets. Real salt of the earth type of dude. Let's get into it.. The shop is clean, well lit, with comfy chairs and decorated with art. It has this chill hip hop vibe to it. They even have a studio where they teach future barbers & stylist As a guy who get his haircut every 7-10 days, Im very hesitant with different barbers‍My go to was on vaycay and I had a presentation with executives. A friend highly recommended Slick's, so I decided to give him a shot. Slick took his time, listened & asked questions. He even came out with a plan to grow my hair out in phases without looking all crazy trying to achieve my desired look Needless to say he did an outstanding job and won me over as a new client I highly recommend going to Slick's Barbershop, you will not be disappointed "The greatest technical skill a barber or stylist can possess is their ability to listen". read more

Do not go here. Went here once and got messed up. Tried again months later for an emergency haircut for a work event and now have terrible hair. I had two different barbers at each time and both of them didn't care what I had to say about my hair and didn't do the one thing I asked of them both times. Barbers are in their own world in the shop seemingly uninterested in the quality of haircut they are giving. If I had a choice of going back here or cutting my hair with a toenail blindfolded I would choose blindfolded at all costs. read more

Slick took me in close to closing hours and did an amazing 20 minute haircut! Would definitely recommend this place.

What's my experience? Didn't have an experience. I had a haircut scheduled at 10 AM and arrived 10 minutes early, they were not open, there were no employees even inside. Please post the real hours you are open and please honor your appointments read more

Loved the cut and the barbershop was a cool hang. Would definitely recommend if you in the Camarillo area

I've been going to the same barber since I started freshman year of high school. I was about 13/14 then. Over the years she's gotten to know what I like and what I don't. I've never since then been to a different shop. However after moving out to Camarillo for UNI, going home, 2 hour drive, to get a haircut is not an option. So like most people I picked up my phone and typed in barber shop, I was taken to Super Cuts. However, they were fully booked for the day, and thank god for it. Cause if they had an available slot I would've never went to Slick's. Let me start off by saying, I've never had this much fun getting a cut. Morris aka Loony was very attentive, talkative, and engaged me in all the aspects of what I wanted my final product to look like. The atmosphere was lively, music playing, art on all four walls, and everyone always wearing a smile. Now that's all nice and all, but let's talk about the cut. Details spared, I walked in looking like a walking gorilla, long hair, messy beard, an overall mess. I am not someone that's really aware of the terms when comes to hair, or what would really look good with my head shape, but with their help and recommendations I walked out of there feeling amazing. My hair was better than imagined, the lineups (neck, hairline, beard) were cleaner than Mr. Clean himself. Overall highly recommend, as long as I'm out here in the Camarillo/Ventura area, I'm coming here for my cuts and you should as well. read more

Slick's is an awesome place to get a haircut. Great atmosphere and great barbers! I've been there twice and they have done an outstanding job on both occasions. I will definitely be back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new barbershop. read more

Great place. The show was clean and fun, and EJ was super friendly and professional. Gave our son a great cut. He took his time cutting his hair and chatting with us making everyone feel comfortable. Definitely coming back for future cuts! read more

They always do a great job here! My fiancé scheduled me an appointment here and now I don't think she'd ever let me go anywhere else

Dale is an awesome barber. Great attention to detail. Place has a very nice aesthetic. Local gem. It's so hard to find a consistently good barber. Try this place out. read more

I have cowlicks in the back of my head, and no other barbershops knew how to deal with them. Thankfully, was not the case with Slick's. Dennis served me there today and he was really insightful about my hair. Normally, whenever I get my haircut, the barber cuts my hair too short in the back and causes my cowlicks to make my hair stick up. But this wasn't a problem for this barber, he told me that I should keep it longer in the back to prevent this. Adding on to that, when other barbers cut my hair, my hair ends up looking too straight on the top like a bowl cut. Once again, no problem for Slick's, Dennis told me that I should ask to thin out and texturize the top in order to prevent this but to not do the back (because once again, my cowlicks). While I will admit that my hair is a bit shorter than I would've liked it (but that was kind of my fault because I said it was okay shorter), I felt better at this barbershop than any other, as Dennis talked to me the entire way through. I'm not a very conversational person, so I find it hard to talk when getting my hair cut, but unlike other barbers who would neglect me and talk to someone else, Dennis actually talked to me and made me feel welcome. Thank you Dennis and thank you Slick's, I will definitely be coming back! read more

shout out to slicks. They've done great with my hair cat the past two times i've gone. Dennis is a great barber and really knew what he was doing when he was cutting my hair. read more

After searching for a barbershop that fit me I found myself in this barbershop that somewhat looked like an art gallery! The walls are hand painted with many different designs and famous influencers. This place has an ambiance that you'd want to hangout in. It is perfect for getting that monthly cut you want and you don't feel awkward while doing so. The owner is very welcoming and a great conversationalist. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Great place for a haircut and a relaxing time! My wife scheduled me for a cut with Ragsdale shortly before our wedding, and he made sure I looked my best for the big day. I've been back a few times since, and it's always been a great experience. We now pop in and say Hi to Ragsdale when we happen to be in the area, whether or not it's time for a haircut. read more

I went there for a haircut and they seemingly did a fine job except that the lady cutting my hair messed up somehow and scratched my neck really badly with the clippers and ended up giving me cuts in the back of my neck which were very uncomfortable and at times painful I've never had this happen before so I can only assume that it was due to negligence. read more

If you've been on the hunt looking for a good barber in the area like I had been (for months), look no further. I walked in without an appointment and waited maybe 10 minutes before being seated. The shop had a nice relaxed feel, good music, and an overall excellent vibe. I had my haircut done by Ragsdale, who was friendly, professional, and incredibly detail oriented with my hair, spending over an hour making sure to get it right. I've struggled to find a solid barber that can cut the hairstyle I ask for, but I was fixed up in a BIG way on the first haircut here. The super clean skin fade and precise scissor cut/blending/texturing on top has got me looking and feeling like a MEAN mofo. For a barber to cut hair like that upon a first meeting is incredibly rare and I'm excited for future cuts when he gets to know my hair even better. On the pricier side for a haircut (~$45 for a skin fade and scissor cut), but well worth the price if you're looking for a quality haircut. Happy I took a chance on this place and will be back for another haircut!! read more
