My husband went in to get his beard trimmed. It looked horrible when he came home. He tried to fix it himself. He ended up cutting it so short. It's hard to tell in the picture. But is was very choppy. One side was almost 1/2 of an inch longer on one side. read more

Another great haircut from Hank's. Jamie did a great job! Once again the greeting was made to be awkward. Last time it was some rude tattoo'd freak. This time it was the pasty Count Dracula. When I walked in, the bloodsucker was hovered on a barber chair seemingly lifeless. After a long delay, he graced me with a very unenthusiastic.... maaaaay eyyye help youuu....all while prone and never taking his lifeless eyes off the TV. I had no idea the un-dead loved Laker repeats games so much. Anyway, big thumbs up to Jamie. Thank you!! Big thumbs down to Hank's ability to hire personnel and control the front of his shop. Happy Halloween in January! read more

I needed a cut last minute and was looking for a walk-in. Made a couple calls. I got Stephanie L. She said she would get me in. The place was clean, friendly and inviting. Conversation between barbers and customers was pleasant and entertaining. I got Stephanie's card and will be a returning customer. Thanks again Truly. Lorne read more

I used to go to Henry's shop for haircuts, went there for years. He retired and his daughter who cut hair with him went to Hanks to work, so I decided to go there. Wow, like night and day. Tried to do a walk in like usual and was told it may be an hour. Fine. I left and made an appointment. I showed up downstairs, saw Henry's daughter but she was busy I guess because she looked at me but didn't acknowledge me. I was directed to go upstairs. Didn't know there was an upstairs, but I trudged off to find it. I walked in, said I had an appointment, and the guy sitting in a barber chair looking at his phone hopped up and said "Have a seat." So I went to the barber chair to sit down and he angrily told me "No! Over there!" He pointed to the row of empty chairs. One other guy was in there getting his haircut by a different barber, my guy was doing nothing. I started to the chairs, kind of in shock, then stopped and said "Screw this." I left and never went back. I never will either. All I wanted was a No. 2 buzz all over. 5 minutes, done. It's been two years and I'm still pissed. read more

The haircuts are good and the experience is even better. It feels like more than just a business to them. I highly recommend them. My son is special needs and he just loves going there and having conversations with them. I would never be able to take him anywhere else. He looks forward to going there each and every time. read more

Three of my male family members go here now and they all look great and have had great experiences and the prices are good.

I bring my 91 y/o father here and they always do a wonderful cut. Staff are very kind and knowledgeable.

Went here as a walk-in around 4:30pm last Thursday. Was told they take walk-ins and got taken to a back parlor where they said they didn't have time for a walk-in but I was told to sit and they'll figure it out. Waited 45 minutes and Bianca didn't even spend 10 minutes cutting my hair. They just sighed and kept checking their phone the whole time saying they needed to go to a baseball game. They didn't blend my hair at all, there are pieces in the back that are way longer because they just brushed it out of the way and started buzzing so now it looks uneven all over the sides and back. Only went over the top of my head with scissors once and left that with large uneven sections too. Didn't follow my picture and didn't listen to my requests at all. They just did a 1 around the back and sides, no fade, no blending, nothing. Asked them to thin my hair on top because it was too heavy to style and they didn't do that either, so now I can't even style it to look better. They also only let me see my haircut in the small handmirror, never even turning me around, which was weird. Seriously, I wish they would have just turned me away when I walked in. Worst haircut I've had in over 5 years. read more

Where do I begin... I have been a customer of Hank's for 16 years (since I was three years old). Hank gave me my first cut and has cut my father's hair since the mid-90s. His location in Old Town Camarillo is an iconic part of this town. At the corner of Ventura Blvd. and Elm, his building cannot be missed when passing through Old Town. Hank is an active part of this community and makes every customer he sees feel important! The business he runs is top-notch. All of the barbers there are amazing people. From Javier to Hector to Mark to Lily, you won't want to get your hair cut anywhere else. Thanks for everything Hank! - Nels and Sam K read more

Cut my teenager's hair. Did a good job but they are like $25-30 for a haircut. Kinda pricey but got the job done. They don't take Venmo.

Big shout out to Gabriel. I took a chance and decided to give Hanks a call and I'm thankful Gabriel answered! He got me in within the hour and took on the task of cutting my 1.5 year old sons hair and let me tell you that is not an easy task. I have taken my son to a kids barber before and it was let's just say a disaster and I thought I would just do his hair myself instead. But I have run out of time and I'm so glad I did I will definitely be returning to have Gabriel cut my sons hair again. Big thank you to Hanks and Gabriel. read more

They can't cut hair, I had a picture of the haircut I wanted and he cut it way to short, I don't even know where he got the haircut from. Wouldn't recommend, you're better of cutting your hair with a chainsaw. They should rename it to hanks butcher shop cause that's what they do, butcher things. If you want to pay for disappointment go there. read more
