My husband and I had used this CPA for our personal and business taxes for several years. I wanted to stop using them after the first year but my husband thought it was best to just stay with them. Let me say that Kimberly is very pleasant and easy to deal with- NICK IS AWFUL. He is rude and expects to be paid for the tiniest question. I gave them a 4 star rating after meeting with Nick the first time and getting established. I wasn't ready to rate them yet as they had done nothing but Nick kept calling me for a review and then when I gave them 4 stars he BADGERED me until I grudgingly changed it to 5 stars as he kept asking. I just wanted him to leave me alone. FINALLY, my husband agreed to stop using them. We needed some records from the past and asked for those to be sent to us. I was a client of Nick at The CPA Corner for a couple years. However, when I decided to do my recent taxes with him, he wanted to charge me an excessively increased amount, in which I will not disclose. My last personal experience with Nick was horrible and I do not recommend his services. Stay away and find a different tax preparer person. A little background about myself, I am a certified ICU - Registered Nurse so I'm pretty patient and thoughtful with people in general. I save people's lives for a living and the last thing I want to do is deal with people who treat others' poorly. I had two side gigs as a nurse in 2019, one was selling facial creams and two - I just received my Real Estate license towards the end of the year. So, between the two small side gigs that did not produce any income and having a nurse income, it should not be difficult to process my tax return. Nick did not disclose over the phone what he was going to charge me until I showed up at his office. If he told me what he was planning on charging me, even an estimated amount, I would not have even made an appointment to go in and see him. When I arrived at his office, he was friendly, and pleasantly happy to see me again. For the first 30 minutes (every year) he discussed about other clients personal tax information and their success stories. He was too focused talking about other people that he only spent 10minutes trying to do my taxes. The most he spent on my taxes was during my time in the office and not on his own time. So realistically, I think he's spending 10minutes max each year preparing my taxes for the exorbitant amount he charges. As a professional accountant, he should not be sharing and disclosing other clients personal tax return information and their stories with other clients. That is a violation of confidential information in which he violated and needs to stop doing. Note for Nick: You are required by LAW to protect and maintain confidentiality of client information and data; to not disclose to any third party including other clients these information. Please take this seriously and don't just state it as if you do because you don't. What did it for me was when I questioned his exorbitant fee that he wanted to charge me and I actually had a discussion as to 'why' he was charging me what he wanted. My instinct told me to not continue to do my taxes with him, but did not want to be rude about it while sitting in his chair. After he told me the charges, I said I was not ready to file my taxes with him for 2019 knowing I was not going to stick with him, he immediately snapped and got extremely upset stating, "Go, just leave, I don't have time for this, I'm too busy!" (Everybody in America is busy, I'm busy saving lives). He was extremely angry and you could feel the steam coming out of him, which scared me! I've never been treated like that by someone who calls themselves a professional. It is not professional of an accountant to get nasty, throw papers back at their client of 2 years, and tell them to get out only because you're inquiring about whether or not his fees are appropriate (I asked him in a really calm nurturing manner, so no need to get defensive). I politely thanked him for his time and quietly walked out, but he was still so upset. He should be ashamed of his actions. Save yourselves the headache because if he doesn't like something or if you question him in anyway, you are on his bad side. He will ask clients to write him a yelp review. If he thinks you're going to write him a good review he will ask and now he is incentivizing clients by giving them a Starbucks card? Isn't that bribery? It is against YELP's policy for business owners to outright ask or solicit clients or customers to post a review about them. It is inorganic to intimidate, bribe or put someone on the spot to write a yelp review. That behavior needs to stop as well! read more

When my aunt got ominous from the IRS over several issues that were made by her previous tax preparer, she completely freak out. She knew it was time to call the top tax professionals for help. I helped her searching around on Google for a right and trusted CPA. We called, left messages and talked to a number of tax professionals. Most of their plan to deal with her issues dud not convince both of us. We're talking about $192,000 tax owned to the IRS from the sale of her investment property along with other problems. Once Nick's business got our attention, we called his office and reached out with an email and so pleased when he responded to us within the same day. He understood the issues and explained why she had IRS letters. The next day we met and discussed the casr with more details. Since it was a huge amount, we wanted to make sure to get the right profession with experience in this situation. Nick proved he was able to handle my aunt's case. A few days later, I received a call from a man saying that he had to cancel my appointment. I'm a Canadian living in the US so he said that I had to file in Canada first, then he can file the US. It really seemed like he was just trying to cancel my appointment but I took him at his word. After asking around to multiple tax experts in Canada and the US, I found out he was dead wrong.
