My husband and I had used this CPA for our personal and business taxes for several years. I wanted to stop using them after the first year but my husband thought it was best to just stay with them. Let me say that Kimberly is very pleasant and easy to deal with- NICK IS AWFUL. He is rude and expects to be paid for the tiniest question. I gave them a 4 star rating after meeting with Nick the first time and getting established. I wasn't ready to rate them yet as they had done nothing but Nick kept calling me for a review and then when I gave them 4 stars he BADGERED me until I grudgingly changed it to 5 stars as he kept asking. I just wanted him to leave me alone. FINALLY, my husband agreed to stop using them. We needed some records from the past and asked for those to be sent to us. We were required to pay $60 for OUR ELECTRONIC RECORDS because we were no longer clients. I suspect that was illegal but we just want to be done with this place. read more

Had a great experience. Kimberly is extremely competent, quick-witted, and knowledgeable on a variety of complex tax situations. To be specific, I had multiple states, part-owners, investments, divestments, passive & active income, all confidently and competently handed. Customer experience and responsiveness very solid and structured enough to build confidence that they knew what they were doing. Will get busy pretty quick. read more

I've always prepared my taxes myself for many years as they were simple. In 2022 I invested into some extremely difficult pass through companies and had no idea what I was getting myself into. I spoke with Kimberly on the phone and she was so extremely nice, professional and knowledgeable about my tax problem. I decided to hire CPA corner to prepare and file my taxes and their service was professional, thorough and quick. All questions I had Kimberly took the time to make sure I understood the answers. I definitely am thankful I found CPA corner and they were able to help me in a crunch. read more

After experiencing a nightmare with my previous CPA firm, I was in desperate need of an experienced and professional CPA, Nick and Kim at CPA Corner are currently handling the mess that my previous cpa caused. Nick has worked extremely hard to revise and submit amended filings with very professional and detail information to the IRS. Most importantly they have kept me informed in ever step of the process. I highly recommend CPA Corner, especially if you need some peace of mind. read more

I have used the same CPA since 1994. She was based in Arizona where I use to live. Even after moving back to California I would still mail her all my paperwork and she would complete my taxes. Last year I had started a Corporation and thought it was time to find a CPA closer to me here in California. After searching for many CPA's in my surrounding area and reading many reviews, I decided to give Nick from The CPA Corner my business. Let me tell you, I definitely made the right choice. He prepared my taxes for my corporation and my personal taxes. Nick and his staff are very professional and friendly. Nick explained everything and answered every question that I asked. I was really stressed about finding a new CPA since I've had used the same one for the pass 23 years. Thank you Nick for easing that stress. Michael read more

In a word RUDE. I made an appointment to have our company taxes done. When i arrived, i met with Nick the "CPA". After just sitting down, I said I have a few questions about his experience and expertise...and before i could finish talking, he said "I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR AN INTERVIEW" (i put it in bold because that is how he spoke). Never experienced this in my life. My score for him is F- "Failed in all levels" (one star is too much) read more

I was a client of Nick at The CPA Corner for a couple years. However, when I decided to do my recent taxes with him, he wanted to charge me an excessively increased amount, in which I will not disclose. My last personal experience with Nick was horrible and I do not recommend his services. Stay away and find a different tax preparer person. A little background about myself, I am a certified ICU - Registered Nurse so I'm pretty patient and thoughtful with people in general. I save people's lives for a living and the last thing I want to do is deal with people who treat others' poorly. I had two side gigs as a nurse in 2019, one was selling facial creams and two - I just received my Real Estate license towards the end of the year. So, between the two small side gigs that did not produce any income and having a nurse income, it should not be difficult to process my tax return. Nick did not disclose over the phone what he was going to charge me until I showed up at his office. If he told me what he was planning on charging me, even an estimated amount, I would not have even made an appointment to go in and see him. When I arrived at his office, he was friendly, and pleasantly happy to see me again. For the first 30 minutes (every year) he discussed about other clients personal tax information and their success stories. He was too focused talking about other people that he only spent 10minutes trying to do my taxes. The most he spent on my taxes was during my time in the office and not on his own time. So realistically, I think he's spending 10minutes max each year preparing my taxes for the exorbitant amount he charges. As a professional accountant, he should not be sharing and disclosing other clients personal tax return information and their stories with other clients. That is a violation of confidential information in which he violated and needs to stop doing. Note for Nick: You are required by LAW to protect and maintain confidentiality of client information and data; to not disclose to any third party including other clients these information. Please take this seriously and don't just state it as if you do because you don't. What did it for me was when I questioned his exorbitant fee that he wanted to charge me and I actually had a discussion as to 'why' he was charging me what he wanted. My instinct told me to not continue to do my taxes with him, but did not want to be rude about it while sitting in his chair. After he told me the charges, I said I was not ready to file my taxes with him for 2019 knowing I was not going to stick with him, he immediately snapped and got extremely upset stating, "Go, just leave, I don't have time for this, I'm too busy!" (Everybody in America is busy, I'm busy saving lives). He was extremely angry and you could feel the steam coming out of him, which scared me! I've never been treated like that by someone who calls themselves a professional. It is not professional of an accountant to get nasty, throw papers back at their client of 2 years, and tell them to get out only because you're inquiring about whether or not his fees are appropriate (I asked him in a really calm nurturing manner, so no need to get defensive). I politely thanked him for his time and quietly walked out, but he was still so upset. He should be ashamed of his actions. Save yourselves the headache because if he doesn't like something or if you question him in anyway, you are on his bad side. He will ask clients to write him a yelp review. If he thinks you're going to write him a good review he will ask and now he is incentivizing clients by giving them a Starbucks card? Isn't that bribery? It is against YELP's policy for business owners to outright ask or solicit clients or customers to post a review about them. It is inorganic to intimidate, bribe or put someone on the spot to write a yelp review. That behavior needs to stop as well! read more

I highly recommend Nick and the team at CPA Corner! I've historically done most of my tax preparation myself, but as the paperwork became more complex last year I decided to engage a professional. Nick and his team listened intently to understand my situation, offered high-quality advice to help avoid potential pitfalls, and were ultimately able to help me complete my taxes and resolve some issues in a timely and cost effective manner. I've been super pleased with The CPA Corner and plan to give them my business for the foreseeable future! read more

Nick knows what's he doing. I've been to many CPA offices, trying to find a way to get my money back that was withheld by the state and the federal after selling my house, and my previous CPAs couldn't help. So, I wasted a lot of money into nothing, until I met Nick. He explains things clearly and would be very honest about the case and that makes me understand my own case better and I feel like I could trust him. I succeeded in getting my ITIN number through Nick (after so many troubles) and proceeding to the next step to get my money back. All my trouble goes away because Nick is an expert on what he is doing. I really recommend his service. Honest, simple, and I think his rate is very reasonable too. read more

I found The CPA Corner online, after searching for trustworthy and legitimate accountants to handle mine and my husband's complex tax case. Upon calling, I spoke to Kim, who spent around 15 mins of her time on the phone with me to discuss in detail the complexity of my taxes; Kim was more than willing to help and referred my husband and I to Nick. After spending an hour with Nick in a consultation, we decided to file our taxes same day. Nick was personable, educational, enthusiastic and overall optimistic regarding our situation; in a normal case where we might have ended up owning, we left with a pretty substantial refund. I'm extremely happy with the services Nick provided and will only continue to do business with The CPA Corner. Thanks guys! read more

Nick Pham is an excellent CPA. The CPA Corner is absolutely the best! I highly recommend it.

When my aunt got ominous from the IRS over several issues that were made by her previous tax preparer, she completely freak out. She knew it was time to call the top tax professionals for help. I helped her searching around on Google for a right and trusted CPA. We called, left messages and talked to a number of tax professionals. Most of their plan to deal with her issues dud not convince both of us. We're talking about $192,000 tax owned to the IRS from the sale of her investment property along with other problems. Once Nick's business got our attention, we called his office and reached out with an email and so pleased when he responded to us within the same day. He understood the issues and explained why she had IRS letters. The next day we met and discussed the casr with more details. Since it was a huge amount, we wanted to make sure to get the right profession with experience in this situation. Nick proved he was able to handle my aunt's case. The case dragged on over 4 months with many phone calls, email between us and Nick was very responsive. He gave us updates whenever something new in the case. We finally receive an IRS letter with the amount due reduced to over $2K. It was such a nice job of Nick to save my aunt from a heart attack. She couldn't be happier. Nick is well-organized, professional and is able to deliver great results. We still feel extremely fortunate to have found him. Thanks again Nick! read more

Nick is amaaazing! We just moved to the US and it's our first time filing taxes, so we didn't want to do it on our own because we weren't sure how it would be like. I thought it'd be a pain/really expensive to get someone to help us but I'm glad we met Nick! Our cases were simple so Nick charged us the minimum, 1/3 of what another person quoted! What!! Even though he had other cases on hand that costs more, he didn't make us feel unimportant just because we were paying less, and he was always patient in answering all our questions. I would say stop looking and call him right now, but he told us a couple weeks ago that he stopped taking in new clients. read more

What could we say about this place. 1/ great knowledge over tax and tax preparation. 2/ Very responsible, patient, listening with clear explanation. 3/ They are also very professional and caring for me and my uncle. 4/ LOW PRICE (Great!!!) Nick and his associates could be the best tax service around. His explanation for my uncle case was super clear. I am very pleased to be working with Nick Pham, a person that has great work ethics and clearly knows how to help his clients.

I reached out to "The CPA Corner" to help with my taxes, and had an initial conversation with a lady who setup my appointment. A few days later, I received a call from a man saying that he had to cancel my appointment. I'm a Canadian living in the US so he said that I had to file in Canada first, then he can file the US. It really seemed like he was just trying to cancel my appointment but I took him at his word. After asking around to multiple tax experts in Canada and the US, I found out he was dead wrong. He had me thinking I had done my taxes wrong for the last 2 years. Don't waste your time with this guy. read more

Very prompt service, helped us organize documentation for major tax refund. Recommend.

Kimberly was great, she communicated everything in detail and was friendly and knowledgable. Nick on the other hand... was difficult to work with, did not listen to our company's needs, was condescending and did not provide any value to the goals we were hoping to achieve. Fortunately we were able to find another accounting firm that wanted the work. read more

I highly recommend Nick and the CPA Corner for accounting services, especially for tax preparation. I have a personal independent contractor account, and I also opened up a new S-corporation business last year, prepared with a previous accountant, and this previous accountant botched it (i.e. incorrectly calculating my W2 statement, misspelling my name and address on important documents, unnecessary fees for unnecessary meetings and corporation items). Nick and his team were like a breath of fresh air. He and his team clarified and helped me untangle the situation and Nick did an amazing job in explaining what was wrong and helping me figure it out. I'm really new to this business world and was very intimidated, but Nick and his team were very patient with me and explained everything. They also helped me find a lot of deductions from my taxes and saved me a lot of money. Without them I feel like I would be paying so much more in taxes. Nick was quick to identify The problems I had and fast to respond with a solution. They also communicated with me so well with phone calls/emails to follow up and give reminders for due dates and updates on my accounts. Nick knows exactly how to file correctly. No short cuts, no hidden fees, no hassle filing, detailed and organized! Sadly, I paid legal zoom about $1K to mess up my life and cheat me. Even though I'm paying Nick, he's getting it done correctly and he has easy quick steps to follow. I'm not the most internet literate person around, so his step by step guidance works wonders for me. At the same time, I know exactly what is going on with my taxes and financials. There's no middle man, so you deal directly with Nick. I like this because it keeps the cost down. I also want to highlight his hospitality! Never have I been to an accounting firm that offers food and drinks during the visit. I'm extremely comfortable with Nick. I've been cheated a few times before, last time was Legal Zoom! I wish I found Nick before Legal Zoom. I hope my review will help you find peace of mind when you schedule that consultation.
