We were in Greeley to see the Big Boy locomotive that made a stop in town that was near the railroad station. We asked locals where was the best place to eat and they suggested The Cow that was within walking distance. The place was nicely decorated with a Western theme with tables to sit and dine, along with a bar, and outdoor seating. The waitress was friendly and nice. We ordered the veggie sandwich and also a Reuben sandwich. Both were fresh and delicious and accompanied by potato chips. We ate an optional side cup of chili that was not spicy but was sprinkled with cheddar cheese. The meals were tasty. The prices were reasonable. I would definitely suggest this place if you're looking for a good meal and a place to enjoy the scenery. read more

The staff was friendly so I'm giving them 2 stars. Orders the Reuben and a cup of chili. The Reuben was served cold, I've never had a cold Reuben sandwich before and would not recommend. Stopped by this restaurant while in Greeley for a work meeting. Sat at the bar and it was nice to see all the staff new people by their first names as the locals bellied up to the bar for lunch or an ice cold beer. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich. The chicken unfortunately tasted and looked like the grilled chicken you buy it a grocery store in those plastic bags in the deli section. The bread was good. I had the best French dip here! It's a nice atmosphere and a good people-watching spot on the corner in downtown.

I wish I could write about the food, but I can't as we didn't get any, despite waiting for an hour on a Sunday at ~1:15 with attendance looking like the pictures below. Despite the kitchen being extremely lacking, our waiter was very friendly, and she understood when I told her we had to leave. I don't think we'll be back, as it shouldn't take an hour to get a club sandwich and a BLT. read more

My UNC graduate specifically choose "The Cow" to have her post-graduation lunch. She chose this restaurant because of its sandwich menu and it did not disappoint. I began working with Ms. Jodie Redfern to reserve an area for 10. She was so amazingly wonderful and easy to work with. She had no issues with us bringing in our own decorations and dessert. She also ended up being our waitress on that specific day and once again she was Amazing! Clearly thinking of our needs even before I could. We were give the whole upstairs to ourselves while she ran up and down 22 stairs to bring us our food and drinks. Overall, all 10 of us agree "The Cow" was the best choice to celebrate our daughter. The cider we got was delicious and their cocktails look very fun and festive. However, we got dinner as well and decided to do a half sandwich and cup of soup each. They only take off $2 for the half sandwich so you pay for a $12 half sandwich and the cup of soup is very small. Expensive for not very much food. I'd give it zero stars if I could. I make better sandwiches at home and they don't cost $17! We ordered the artichoke dip that came with "crostini ," which are obviously toasted hoagie rolls from the day before (and the best thing on the plate), sad looking, dried out, baby carrots and the cheapest tortillas chips you can buy at the grocery store. The dip was steaming because I'm pretty sure they had just popped it in the microwave--which might actually be the extent of the entire kitchen. The nachos were also served with the same horrible chips and the flavors were just meh. We will not be back. read more

Meh. It wasn't bad, definitely not exceptional. Good service, our waitress was nice and prompt. The menu had a decent selection, we ordered the Jays dip and the Little Italy. The French dip was pretty good, I don't know that I would order it again though. The little Italy had a lot of potential but the marina was cold. The green chili was great! The restaurant has a beautiful view of the street, great music playing, fun atmosphere in general. I was very annoyed to find that there was no changing table in the restroom, but they were clean at least. Overall a nice little place but I wouldn't go back if I were super hungry. read more

Seat yourself. Great service from the server who was admittedly new, but did a great job. However, I cannot give a better review due to the miniature portion sizes they are serving. $15 for a tiny turkey sandwich (we are talking wonder bread sizes) and $5 if you want soup INSTEAD of the handful of potato chips that come with it. So, $20 for a small sandwich and thimble size soup without even a drink. You pay $5 extra and then you don't even get the potato chips. So, add a $5 drink and you are at $25 for a mediocre sandwich and soup that you will eat and immediately need to find another meal to address your hunger. This was once a great place, but it has changed. It use to be the Mad Cow and now, I found out a new kitchen chef running the show is the one screaming in the kitchen, and the food has gone downhill horribly. The prices it seems have doubled. I had events here with my company. I do not plan on having any other events, lunches, ect. read more
