Wow! What Ana amazing experience! The view is absolutely fabulous and the servers were also very responsive. We made a reservation in advance. We overheard the waiter telling others that people are places on their seating by when they make the reservation. Luckily we made a reservation as soon as it came available (about 7 days prior) and we had an amazing view. Our drinks were very good and we received several complimentary snack items. I'd suggest going to The Court. It's on the pricey side for drinks but the experience is worth it.

Excellent, imaginative cocktails. Highly trained bartenders. Great service. Beautiful view of the coliseum. Bossa nova music in the background. It's a fantastic place for a drink. Reservations are recommended but it is sometimes possible to get in without one if you are dressed nicely. Cocktails are 27 euro each but include a welcome glass of Prosecco and a huge selection of appetizers.

Strawberry banana drink and pina colada. Pina colada was very good.

The views were amazing. A little pricey, required for each person to purchase two drink minimum and they're 2 for 55 euros. And comes with snacks, small pizza, chips, olives, and almonds. Worth it for the views. But don't come super hungry.

View impecable. Try to reserve a table with the view of the colosseum. The service was fast and everyone is very attentive. The aperitivo they bring out was also to die for. I also asked for server for her recommendations on drinks. She recommended the first reaction shock! And she did not miss it was a delicious drink!

GLOBE & GLASS Review: The Court at Palazzo Manfredi, Rome Rated by Ivy & Gigi Date: March 10, 2025 Rating: One Glass ("Worth a Visit--If You're Nearby") When Gigi and I arrived at The Court at Palazzo Manfredi, right on time for our reservation, we didn't exactly get the Roman welcome we'd envisioned. Ten minutes loitering on the cobblestones--dressed to the nines, naturally--felt more like a stamina test than a luxe prelude. Still, the promise of that Colosseum view kept us from storming the gates. Vibe & Aesthetic: Once seated (eventually), the reward landed. The terrace stares straight at the Colosseum, lit up like a timeless diva against Rome's afternoon sky. Sleek tables--well, not ours, a pint-sized affair barely bigger than an open school binder--soft lighting, lounge vibes, and a chic, well stocked bar whispered "luxe." It's Italian elegance with a modern edge, a spot where you sip and channel Fellini, sans paparazzi. Service Swagger: Here's where the chariot stalls. Ten minutes to be noticed at our table, then a 25-minute wait for drinks--were they chiseling the ice from the Colosseum? Complimentary olives, nuts, or whatever small bites blessed every other guest only hit us after a nudge, arriving 35 minutes in, post-meal like a belated apology. Silverware? Two chopsticks, one napkin--we tore it in two, rationing like castaways while the staff perfected their "ignore-the-couple-in-the-corner" routine and avoided eye contact at all costs. No whisper of a second round. Swagger? More like hospitality with a hearty limp. Drink Excellence: The cocktails, though, nearly salvaged it. The "Pornstar Martini" flickered in with a fiery garnish, a mini Roman torch, while "The Court's Signature" unfurled from a glass dome, smoky and seductive. Skill and passion? Check. Taste and punch? Oh yes. Timing? A Roman odyssey too slow. Wow Factor: That view--mamma mia, it's a stunner. Sipping with the Colosseum as your backdrop feels like a privilege, even with a price tag that doesn't blink. The smoke-and-fire drink show added flair, but the wow faded when round two stayed off the menu. Upselling seems to be a dirty word in these quarters. Replay Value: Would we return? Perhaps, for the view and drinks--if we pack snacks and a timer. Brilliance glimmers here, but consistency's playing hide-and-seek. It's for the patient or the pre-buzzed. The Verdict: The Court at Palazzo Manfredi nabs "One Glass". The Colosseum vista and cocktails make it worth a stop if you're nearby, but the service stumbles hard--shocking, since Italy invented hospitality, and we've been spoiled by Italian finesse elsewhere. Ivy's still swooning over that view; Gigi's plotting to nab the smoke dome and bolt. Cheers (Olives Optional), Ivy & Gigi, GLOBE & GLASS Sip with us at GlobeSippers: @GlobeAndGlass

    Legs cut by glass.

Bartender dropped a drink on my wife and cut both her legs. Left glass on the ground and I picked up. Nobody checked in. Offered 1 free drink at the end. We talked to manager and front desk and only offered to comp 1 drink. You'd think after someone spilled a drink on and cut your wife they'd be more friendly. Avoid.

The Court at the Palazzo Manfredi Hotel overlooks the Colosseum ruins in Rome. It is a large safisticated outdoor bar with several types of seating. They have a full bar as well as their own specialty cocktails. The drinks come with potato chips and a choice of either sweet or salty snacks. We decided on our new favorite Italian cocktail, the Aperol Spritzer. The cocktail was excellent. We chose the salty snacks which consisted of olives and salted almonds. We stayed about an hour marveling at the Colosseum, which was is lit up at night. The service was pleasant and attentive. The decor is modern and the bar has an upscale feel. I highly recommend this place to sip a cocktail and marvel at the history of this area in Rome.

Drinks & The Colosseo - what a combo

Do yourself a favor and make a booking at The Court if you're headed to or already in Roma. This places not only serves what are likely some of the best cocktails in the world, but it does so while giving one of the most picture-esque views of one of the ancient wonders of the world - The Colosseo. Upon arrival, we found ourselves whisked into the Palazzo Manfredi. It is one of the most beautiful 5 star property I've had the pleasure of coming across, while containing a Michelin star property on the roof. Passing through the hotel, we made our way to the back patio, which seems to overlook some ancient ruins, creating an unfettered, 270-degree sightline to The Colosseo. We just happened to be seated at the edge of the patio, providing us with likely the best view of the night. On another day, I'd prefer the couches and other seating on the patio, but for the first time here, I think the edge of the patio provided the best experience. We were quickly greeted by Paolo, who was going to be taking care of us for the night. Paolo expertly guided us through the menu, and, after taking our preferences and notes into consideration, recommended the first round (which did not fail to exceed expectations. While we waited for our drinks, we were bombarded with an excellent surprise - a picnic basket worth of snacks and finger food to munch on (that I could've mistaken to have come from the neighboring Michelin restaurant given it's taste and presentation). As we made our way through the night and got closer to the end of our reservation, we were courteously offered to move over to the bar to extend our experience as we finished our second round of the night. The highlight of the night was Paolo and his magnificent service and finding the right drinks to quench the taste we were yearning for that specific evening. This has to be one of the most romantic and stunning spots in all of Europe, not just Rome. We lost track of time as we sipped away on our drinks and admired the millennia old wonder that was calling for our attention our entire stay. Do whatever you can, hell or high water, to make your way to this place during your stay in Roma- whether you are here for a short stay or for a long time. And be sure to sit in Paolo's section to elevate your experience to the ultimate level.

My husband and I came here while on our honeymoon, very good cocktails and one of the better aperitivo we had in Italy! The customer service was excellent as well. I will say though, some seats are better than others, some are so far back they wouldn't have a great view without having to walk to the railing for a quick picture. We got lucky but maybe you can request a seat along the railing when you make your reservation.

    Ashley D.

Absolutely worth doing once in your life! If you get there on time (reservations are a must!) and are nice to the check in hostess, you can get seated at the rail and have an unobstructed view of the Colosseum. I highly recommend coming around sunset for the best ambiance. Cocktails run around $30 USD but are worth it for the experience! I had an interesting spin on a Negroni with a melting "pod" of liquor that slowly dissolved and made each sip of the drink taste a little different. They also bring you a big assortment of appetizers - finger sandwiches, olives, hummus, etc - and were able to change a few things to accommodate my vegetarian diet and my friend's seafood allergy.

Great variety of high quality cocktails. Unbeatable views of the Roman Colosseum at night. Friendly staff. A little pricing at €27/drink but worth it for 1-2. Menu photos are as of June 2023.

The dress code recommendations we followed but were still not let in because they did not like our choice of footwear.
    Kirsten A.

Avoid at all costs. Will turn you away if you don't look the part, despite having very vague guidelines on what is acceptable (long pants and collars for men), which we followed. We also had a reservation. It's not a rooftop and not worth your money for such a snooty establishment. We went to another bar down the road for the same view and a fraction of the cost.

I was skeptical going here thinking it was a tourist trap. It ended up being absolutely amazing! The service, drinks and appetizers are all amazing! It is a little pricey but I think it's worth it. They truly care about your experience and do whatever they can to make it exceptional. I highly recommend this place.

We wandered in here before dinner in the Trastevere area of Rome looking for a high end cocktail. This place does not disappoint. The decor reminds me of Mardi Gras meets Prohibition... the cocktail menu is unique and the mixologist is simply outstanding. You do need to fill out a slip to "become a member" before they offer you a drink and take your order. While it looks a bit mysterious from the street, this sophisticated tiny cocktail bar is quite something. Definitely a nice place to sip on an elegant mixed adult beverage.

They are a very small bar, so if you have a large party of 4+, I would suggest to make a reservation ahead of time. Their decoration is a mix of Alice in Wonderland with Italian hipster vibe. Everything feels super cool and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The cocktails are delicious and the bartender's english is pretty good, so if you are looking for recommendations he can help you. Another thing that I really like about this place is that people don't smoke inside. There are other speakeasies around town that allow smoking, and I honestly can't be there more than 1 hour. What a cool and chic cocktail bar!…read more My husband and I visited Peaky Blinders kind of by mistake. We were on our way to Jerry Thomas Speakeasy and turned into the wrong street and saw their bright red door. We didn't stop here at first and went on our way to Jerry Thomas. Like always, JT was packed and they said they probably wouldn't have any openings until 1am (it was 9pm). We decided to go back and check out that cute little bar with the bright red door and were quickly welcomed by the owner and staff. This bar is inspired by the show Peaky Blinders and they have a lot of decor that goes in connection to the show. At the time of ordering our drinks, they told us that they didn't have a lot of the ingredients for most of the cocktails in the menu because they couldn't find fresh ingredients in the market and they are very particular as to what they serve to their customers. The owner quickly asked us what we were in the mood for and that he would prepare something unique just for us. I asked him for something fresh, but not too sweet with gin or vodka. He delivered exactly what I asked him and it was the most delicious drinks ever! I was honestly inspired by how passionate he was about the produce he was using in his cocktails, and how much love and dedication he had for serving the best of the best.

We had an old fashioned, a Daiquiri, and an English Rose (sweet, complex) on the first day, all of which were perfect. I spent 2 or more hours sitting and talking at a comfortable volume, listening to chill music. Lorenzo was our bartender for most of our trip (but we also just met Igino, who is also a great bartender!!), and every drink he made us was exactly what we wanted. On our second day, we had the Manhattan, Lorenzo's version of the English Rose, and a Moscow Mule. Then a new drink with cranberry and almond, another Lorenzo English Rose (because my cousin tasted it and loved it), and another Old Fashioned. Igino also made us some amazing drinks based on what we liked about our other drinks, and made us feel so welcome. Not only are the bartenders, drinks, music, and atmosphere amazing here, but the people who come here and chat with you are also super chill and friendly. You can tell that people who come to this bar are familiar with this place and love it as much as we already do. As cool as some of the bars in this city are, this one is one you can feel at home in. Definitely stop by, because you won't regret it, and you'll probably find yourself coming back as many days as you're here.
