On the day of the appointment, I received a text from the stylist at 10:30 asking if I can come in at 2:00 instead. It wasn't a big deal to me so I agreed. Then when I was already on my way at 1:30 I received another text from Jackie that she cancelled my appointment all together. I'm not sure why she even has appointments if she is not going to go by them, especially after her sending multiple confirmation emails for the appointments. Do not book with Jackie Cabezas. She will waste your time.

After they take photos of your scalp and do a light neck and shoulder massage you head back to the treatment room for a real treat; dim lights, cozy massage chair, excellent ambiance. You also get a warm blanket and eye mask. They wash your hair and massage your head. I might have dozed off for a few minutes as I am having trouble remembering what else happened during this time! The reason I gave the experience 3 stars is that I didn't think the 60 minutes spent there was worth the $150 (cost + tip). When I walked into the "spa," it sounded more like a rockin' bachelorette party vs. a serene environment I experienced in other spa settings (the 20 - 25 minutes spent getting my hair washed did take place in a serene room). Because I love scalp massages (and erroneously thought that would be the majority of my appointment), I paid for an additional 10-minute scalp massage to make it even better. To my dissapointment, most of the time I spent there was for taking pics of my scalp and talking about my scalp, having a fountain spray my hair with water while laying in a very strong massage chair (I started off telling her I would like it strong until I realized that the massage bed felt like hard golf balls sliding up and down my body) and ended up asking her to turn it off. The spraying felt good, and there was scalp massage while she shampooed my hair, but other than that, she used a type of brush to massage my head for much of the time spent in the serene room, which, to me, is not nearly as good. This was followed by about 10 minutes of hair-drying. The hot tea waiting for me was a nice touch. The massage, in total, lasted approximately 10 minutes (shampooing and massage). I think that if your expectations are more social, this will not disappoint. However, I was expecting a full pampered approach since this is similar in cost to what I pay for a 90-minute full-body massage.
