I am so glad we chose to stay at this hotel!! Everything was dream from checking in to checking out, the staff couldn't be anymore friendly, the room was spacious, clean and well presented and to top it off the breakfast was lush!! We will definitely stay again & would recommend this hotel to anyone

Rooms are clean, comfortable and offer all the things you would expect from a holiday inn. Few tips for American travelers, bring your European travel plug adapter, they do have a few to loan at the front desk. The rooms offer a good view. Get an odd numbered room and it looks out over the stadium, otherwise the even number rooms are quieter and usually a bit cheaper price if there is a game. Food is good, typical "buffet" style breakfast for a decent price. There are a few places within walking distance to get a bite, most are with 1.5 mile round trip. Free wifi, always important is decent, wouldn't say it's great, but that's why I am sure they offer a pay version as well that I am sure better Spending a week here, half way through and so far, very pleased So week over, heading home. Over all, the hotel was exactly what it was supposed to be for a trip without the family and for work. Was clean, comfortable and enjoyable. the food is safe (always nice) and good. They have a Resturant downstairs provides a range of good food. Lots of stuff within walking distance

A grimy, run down building with a lackluster interior and a floor that your feet will stick to all night long. But don't let that put you off! During the week it is used as a music venue and although you'll never see the likes of Oasis play there, it does attract great up and coming bands. It also offers local bands a chance to showcase their talent with nights organised by local promoters. At the weekends the venue is used as a club that generally caters for the 'alternative' Norwich scene. Friday nights tend to alternate each week between 80's and 90's theme, which may sound cheesy but the DJ's actually play decent music from those decades. It is nothing like your typical Flares or Reflex nightclubs. Every Saturday in the main room downstairs is a club night called Meltdown, which tends to play alternative music catering for the indie/emo/punk/rock/dance genres. Up stairs there are two rooms. One is a small café bar, which is great to as a chill out area as there are plenty of tables and chairs located around. The other room is larger which has a different set of DJ's each week will be a different themed night. Anything from New Electro to Britpop to Heavy Metal or Rap. There's rarely any trouble in The Waterfront and you'll always make a new friend each time you go there. Overall, it's a great night out with a quality friendly atmosphere!

Carrow road has changed a lot over the years, but I only got interested in football in 2022, so my…read morefirst match was then (April 10). As a Canaries supporter, I'm obviously biased, but there you go. Each stand is great, with the Barclay now featuring Safe Standing. My personal favourite is the Regency Security stand. Unfortunately, the seats are very old with horrible legroom and some of them have gone crusty. Some seats have even curved in due to tall people behind digging their legs/knees into them! There's a huge problem with a lot of seats in the lower regency not having numbers. This needs to be fixed or you aren't going to know where you're sitting. The atmosphere at Carrow Road is very friendly, but we are very loud for a relatively small stadium. If you're an away supporter, you'll need to head round to the back and go in one end of the south stand. A good thing about the stadium is that the away and home areas of the south stand are separated by a proper partition, which is good.

These three different but similar practices can be combined into the concept, "to Carrow". If you're going to Carrow something down the road, then it'll probably be Carrow Road that you Carrow it down. First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - One of my favourite stadiums in the country. I first visited this stadium with a guy that was in the IRA, who was dating my mother. I'm not even kidding. I know that sounds crazy. My life was a bit crazy. I was about 11 years old at the time and was very impressed and excited by it, and how bright yellow it was. Then I came to see a game here as a teen - my hometown club played here and got beaten. I've been back a few times as an adult, including during my 2011 tour, and it's been improved, the noise is contained very well, the fans are probably the most rabid I've seen for any provincial team anywhere in the UK, it's bright, it's colourful, it's a match experience that I would recommend to absolutely anyone. 5 star stadium all the way on every level. I've been to most UK & US stadiums, due to lifelong obsessions with travel, sport & especially footy (soccer to Americans). Born & raised in England, I followed Oxford United (hometown team) to stadia all over the country at away games, and later Liverpool (fave team) around. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are from first-hand personal experience, usually from several visits. In 2011, I was on music tour in the UK, and visited most stadiums for fun in my spare time. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to hundreds yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at most, which I'll post later. Also, when back in UK I'll take more pix, and add more stadia! *** return to regular review *** It's a bright yellow stadium in a bright yellow city that makes mustard, what's not to love? It's provincial and is always packed full of bright yellow fans. I once saw a game here, and the fans, like Coldplay said... they were all yellow. It was built in 1935 and holds 27k peeps. Not the yellow marshmallows but you get the idea. It's right by the River Wensom, which is a bit of a problem if you hate rivers, but I don't, so. Yeah. Awesome. Status Quo, George Michael, Elton John, and Rod Stewart have all performed here. Now that the corners are all finally filled in I will give the stadium full marks. Beautiful colours too.
