The venue is pretty much a huge banquet hall that uses a curtain to divide up the room for smaller groups in order for it to not look quite as big. We were not given access in order to further set up and rehearse the night before instead we were told that we would have enough time before guests arrived. We had agreed on us arriving 30 minutes prior to guests in order for us to be able to setup and go over a quick rehearsal, however, this was not the case because we were not allowed into the hall and all doors were locked. After the DJ opened the door to allow a few of the bridal party inside the owner came unglued and started ranting. She told us we needed to wait until the official time when guests would arrive. So now we have guests arriving with nothing setup and we have still yet to rehearse. It's pouring outside and the owner refuses to allow guests to come in or at least stand in the entry way until her watch precisely says the exact time. The wedding invitation stated 4:00 so typically guests will arrive a few minutes early. The doors are still locked. It's windy, raining and cold outside and our guests are getting soaked so we open the door to allow them in only to stay in the entry way. The owner becomes very upset and insisted guests return to their car and wait. This is a special day where guests are dressed in their best for a wedding and they're getting soaked. There was really no reason the guests could not come in a couple of minutes early to get out of the rain. The tables, chairs and the decor the venue offered had been set up a couple weeks in advance so there was nothing for them to set up for since there hadn't been an event booked for a couple weeks prior to their wedding Another issue we had was there is absolutely no parking designated just for the bridal party especially the bride to pull up close to the back entrance and hurry to get out of the rain. There is also no dressing room for her to do a few last minute touches or a safe place to store items away like purses and cell phones. It was really hard to hear the ceremony without a mic even from upfront let alone those sitting off to the back of the room. We asked if we could use a mic and was told there was not one available. During the wedding ceremony the owner was showing the venue on two seperate occations to potential clients VERY rude and unprofessional.. and yes I do have photos proving this. This is not the time to be showing off your venue to potential clients!! Putting a wedding together is stressful enough but this experience added a lot of unnecessary additional stress for everyone involved. For an owner, operator and hostess working with the public she was not helpful, friendly or flexible. Unless you absolutely have no other options available I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.

It came with a toothbrush and tooth paste that I did not need. My room was right next to the housekeeping closet. The slamming of that door over and over all morning, might want to be of consideration for future guests. A more quietly closing door would for sure have helped with the constant noise. My bed and bedding were very nice and comfortable. The bathroom floors were sticky from cleaner. The food at both The Arbor & Birdie's was exceptional. Jackie at The Arbor was great and made helpful recommendations evening of 10/15/26. The tomato soup was delicious and crispy Brussel sprouts were the best I'd ever had. There was a rehearsal dinner at Birdie's the evening of 10/16. It was very awkward to us and others at the bar, especially when guests were making toasts. Might want to rethink that set-up. The bar staff did a great job helping to ease the awkwardness, but there was only so much they could do.

She knows her flowers and the process to grow, cut and arrange them to meet your expectations. My wife and daughter meet at Black Ridge a couple times to discuss the brides ideas and develop a plan to meet her wants. Susan also held a final meeting a couple weeks prior to the wedding to make sure everyone was on the same page and agree on last minute things. On the big day Susan and Tom were right on time to deliver the flowers. They went right to work putting things in the right spot and cleaning up after themselves. Now for the flowers...my wife and daughter were over the top pleased with the freshness, color, arrangement and overall beauty of the designs. The brides bouquet was a perfect size and just beautiful. The bouquet held up through all the handling and toss. The table flowers were simple and attractive. They didn't detract from the social interactions by being over sized, wide spread or in your face. They just blended nicely. The lapel flowers were very attractive as the were designed to be simple, worn close/flat to the lapel and masculine looking. The design was very innovative and attractive plus simple to pin on. The wrist corsages were simple, not fluffy or dangling, and beautiful of course. The flower girls had very attractive flower rings that were easy to manage and secure on a 5-8 year olds head. Susan also created a pair of flower arrangements that were attached to the arch behind the minister. These flowers were artificial but you would never know it. They were very attractive and blended with all the other flowers and color schemes. I would definitely recommend Black Creek for your flower needs. Susan is very talented. She listens well and works passionately to make your ideas come to life. Her husband Tom is a wonderful helper and behind the scenes guy. You will find both Susan and Tom to be very professional, friendly and customer service oriented!

Hired for my wedding, bartender had good communication. However, they told me I could either have…read morethe guests tip out the required tip or I could pay it. I told them I wanted to pay it and did not want guests having to pay out additional money. I found out after my wedding they were still accepting tips and giving their venmo to guests. When I asked the bartenders about it they said they are still allowed to receive tips. To me this completely defeats the purpose of paying out the tip and should have returned the difference.
