The Breezeway Boutique in The Dalles Oregon is the best…read more. Very clean smells good. Fun place to shop

Fabulous thrift shops in the hear of The Dalles! Thoughtfully curated, beautifully styled, the…read more"boutique" in the title is an accurate description. The boutique is quite large and everything is well organized in small sections with plenty of room to walk down the main aisle and around each area. The minute I walked in my eye caught a burnt orange scarf a mannequin was wearing. Immediately I took the scarf off the mannequin knowing it was actually a lace tablecloth, perfect for the fall and Thanksgiving. For $15, I didn't even have to think about it! So many wonderful items, something for anyone's style and budget. Old leather objects and jackets; vintage phone from the 30s; tea cups & saucers; wooden trunks refinished and could be used for end or coffee tables; vases, serving pieces, estate jewelry, fashion jewelry, art, small pieces of furniture, barware, glassware, and vintage material & clothing. Fell in love with a pair of off-white boots with flowers embroidered up to the knee. They were stunning! If only they fit! A one of a kind statement piece. Hanging on a wall was a macrame owl. Quirky, homemade, vintage - I had to have it! That's what is so fantastic about these type of stores. Hundreds of people probably walked by that owl without a pause and yet it stopped me in my tracks! In addition to standard art like canvas and pictures, I like to adorn my walls with different expressions of unique art. This owl will definitely do that. And for $12, no risk. The owner is clearly passionate about her business, as excited as I was for my "finds!l She was chatting with several customers that obviously stop in often and just as easily made conversation with tourists visiting from out of state. She packaged my items in a bag with orange tissue and a bow, definitely a boutique touch. First time here but I will be back, for sure. On Nov 6th, 2021, they are celebrating their 8 year anniversary with 20% off and mimosas all day. See you there!

Actually, the life size…read morecherry tree mural on the side of the building, and the gratitude wall of hearts paints in the other exterior wall, had me at hello! When you are shopping for gifts and want something unique, special and guaranteed well res pieces, this shop is filled with so many options! Many of the items, like the gorgeous assortment of cutting and charcubards, can be customized. What family wouldn't live a cutting board with their name engraved? Most of the crafted items have that PNW feel (wooden paintings, sweatshirts, rustic animal wall clocks) or are sourced locally (wine, beer, chocolate, hone) which I love! There is jewelry, scarves, stuffed animals and books for kids. Art for your walls. Beer glasses and cozies. They even offer workshops, hence the name, where you can create and customize pieces. This is a great concept and I wish the owners much success with their relatively new business. It's a shop for makers to sell their wares and wanna be makers to create. They have curated a wonderful collection ensuring there is something for everyone across all price ranges. Customer service is exceptional! Friendly, helpful, engaging but never pushy. I know where I will be doing a lot of my holiday shopping!

Not just that, they go the extra mile on even staying open for you, pass closing time. That's not why I even gave them five stars though, I needed a last minute Christmas gift, on Christmas Eve, I called them 15 minutes before closing, they said they can stay open for me, gave me paints to take home since I was painting a craft and was willing to make sure I had a custom name as a part of my gift. I came with my kids, on a different date, we stayed and painted our craft together with my kids and I. And my boys did not want to be there. They have been asking when can we go back. The ambiance was SO WELCOMING and comfortable. They just need wine and I would be here every other day. they truly value their customers. That's a big deal coming from me since I feel no one does this type of customer service anymore.
