I reached out to Becky at The Cornerstone, explained what was going on and asked if they would be willing to ship a couple dozen cookies to Georgia for his birthday surprise.

Ecklof Bakery is a Jamestown classic, and I'm so glad I finally made it back after 20 years! My…read morefriend is a regular here, and she suggested we grab lunch. Walking in, I instantly loved the vibe -- cozy, welcoming, and the smell of fresh-baked goods hits you the moment you step through the door. It's the kind of place that feels like home, no matter how long you've been away. For lunch, I went with the 4-inch sub and, let me tell you, it was the perfect size for me. It was plenty of food and I couldn't even finish it (which is rare!). It came with one of their famous pink stripe cookies, which was just as delicious as I remembered. Soft, sweet, and totally iconic. We sat at the counter, and I love that vibe. You order and pay at the register, and they deliver your food. Ecklof's isn't just a bakery; they serve breakfast and lunch too, with a full bakery case that's impossible to resist. If you haven't been here yet (or it's been a while), it's definitely worth a visit. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy the atmosphere, it's a true Jamestown gem.

I like that they actually put the goodies in a nice pastry box instead of just throwing them into a bag. With a long car ride back to Philly, we've never had damaged cupcakes:) the folks who work here are always really nice and patient while I'm looking around and can't decide what I want. Prices are great for fresh backed goods. Highly recommend!

The interior is very well maintained, with lots of seating options. The food is always amazing and the drinks are as well! They have indoor and outdoor sitting areas. It gets crowded during weekends of course. A lot of items for breakfast and lunch menu. We only came for their breakfast due to time restrictions. I got to try their Sausage, egg, cheese breakfast sandwich on a Asiago bagel, wow the size was amazing and delicious! It can definitely be shared. For my coffee each time I had two different types and can't recall what they were but both were very good! The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food. They have a decent size staff who is pretty helpful in taking your order and recommendations. They have some parking in the street however it's public so you might have to park further if you come when it's busy. They're located in a very popular area where a lot of other restaurants, hotels, ice cream shops are nearby so it's really great to plan a day of it. They have two restrooms, and they sell some local merch and other items. We can't wait to visit again and come back here soon!
