Turkey Porchetta
Maddie M.

Wonderful sandwiches! We ordered the Turkey Porchetta and the V Land. Never heard of Turkey Porchetta style but it was delicious. The focaccia was wonderful, crispy and flavorful. I only wish there was some kind of acid like balsamic or lemon in the sandwich just to cut through. Overall this sandwich was great and I would order it again. We also god the V Land and added provolone. Once again, delicious! I only wish there was more eggplant in this sandwich but once again, overall would order this sandwich again - will be coming back to the corner deli!

WOW! Finally a sandwich shop in Kahuku! This place has a great menu with some bomb sandwiches. Portion was hefty and you can tell the ingredients are quality. Tastes local. It's a pretty good deal for the sandwich, chips and a drink for $15. You can't even get Subway that cheap Overall 10/10! Can't wait to see if they incorporate some sort of charcuterie to their menu.. would be great right next to the Kahuku Beer Garden. Just sayin!

Pastrami on freshly house-made focaccia! Comes w/ Maui style chips & dill pickle spear. "The Corner Deli" sandwich shop, Kahuku Sugar Mill.

Kahuku Sugar Mill just got another delicious food option: "The Corner Deli", a walk-up and order at the window sandwich shop sandwiched (pun intended) between The Country Eatery and The Beer Garden. I think they literally just opened days ago. So we had to stop by on our way to The Country Eatery and get their slow smoked pastrami sandwich, which is AMAZING. The pastrami is just how I like it, meaty, thinly sliced, with just the right ratio of fat to meat, not too stringy, not chewy, with the perfect balance of smokiness and marinade. The slaw on the sandwich was so good, I could totally eat it on its own. The sandwich usually comes with rye bread; but when Brendan told me the focaccia bread is made DAILY IN-HOUSE (!!!) I chose to have it on focaccia. I could hardly wait to get home quickly to eat it with my Country Eatery kombucha and it was incredible. I am so happy right now. My tummy is so satisfied. I can't wait to share it with my husband who always orders pastrami from a good deli. He's been waiting for a good deli sandwich shop on the north shore for a long while. So happy now! Brendan is an awesome sandwich chef and I'm very excited about this cute walk-up sandwich shop! Next time I want to try the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato) sandwich (I love a good BLT and the bacon I saw from the window looks like it is thick cut and crispy, my favorite). I hope The Corner Deli gets lots of business because we wanna hang on to this great sandwich shop! Service was fast, and plenty of outdoor seating, including next door at the Beer Garden (open seating for all).

Pastrami sandwich For 19 bucks this was more like a cabbage sandwich. Both halves of sand Wich had like three little pieces of pastrami

19 dollars is a little steep for a few pieces Of pastrami. More like a cold slaw sandwich

We drove up to get there just before noon on a Saturday. It was rainy, so the numbers were a bit light in the area, but there were still thirteen people in line when the truck opened for business. The owner was fun, friendly, and engaging the customers in conversations while prepping the food. There are times when I think some food truck owners take on the role of a short order cook and get annoyed that you don't understand "how" you're supposed to order; that was certainly NOT the case here. You just need to decide if you want a hot or regular sandwich and whether you want bleu cheese or special sauce. We got one hot and one regular, but the chicken is HUGE and two adults can easily share one sandwich. I'm torn, because while we would probably order just one sandwich next time, I also want to support the business and get two. The chicken was as good as everyone told us and had incredible crispy batter. The fries though...those were maybe the best I've ever had. I don't normally love the double cooked style fry, but could live off those and never get tired of them. FYI...we took ours to eat at the Beer Garden about 100 yards to the west and that's a winning combo.

We stumbled across this burger spot without expecting much, but wow everything was SO good. Definitely be aware of the burger sizes because they are massive! The fries and house sauce were absolutely phenomenal too. The vibe is super chill and laid-back, the staff is incredibly nice, and the food is seriously delicious. I would absolutely recommend this place and would 100% come back!

You order at the counter and they'll give you a number thing and will bring your food to wherever you choose to sit. We wanted to sit outside but the chickens were attacking and fighting for our food :'( they literally jumped onto our table ... so we moved inside lol. The Shez Paniolo was huge! It came with two onion rings and pineapple. Beef patty had a nice smoke flavor. We also ordered a side of onion rings and paniolo. Highly recommend Paniolo; it came with crispy fries (looks like thinly sliced potatoes), bbq sauce and onion rings. I thought food was good. A few ppl in my group thought the burger patty was kind of dry. The decor was cute and beach themed. Overall, customer service was friendly when we were ordering. I noticed a few workers were going around checking on folks and having long conversations but they didn't come to us so whatever. They have clean bathrooms in the back. Plenty of parking available!

Unfortunately all the smoked items were sold out for the day, so we had to adjust course and try something else. Hubs went for the Cuban, which comes with fries and a lemonade, MIL went for the pulled pork sandwich which also comes with fries and lemonade, and I had the home made waffle dog and Kahuku corn with the works (garlic butter, parmesean and some spices). The wait time was fairly good for a food truck, and there was dedicated seating right next to the truck as well. Hub's sandwich was huge, and he said it was a little challenging to eat it as stuffing was falling out. MIL's sandwich was a decent amount of pulled pork, and she liked the sauce on the sandwich. We were probably the only locals eating in the area, as most of the patrons to all of the various food trucks looked like tourists. It's something to do when going to the North Shore. This year, we were determined to make it early enough to finally try the Bald Guy, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was honestly divine. We tried the pan-fried poke, kalbi beef, furikake crusted salmon, chopped steak, and spam musubi, and every single thing was incredible. It was so good that we ended up eating here twice during our trip. Also, special shoutout to the mac and cheese because WOW... it is ridiculously good. My personal favorites were the poke, chopped steak, and kalbi beef, but truly everything we ordered was amazing. The staff was also super kind and helpful with all our questions. Just a heads up, they do sell out of certain items before closing, so definitely try to get there earlier rather than later. Cannot wait to come back!

This time I wanted to try the garlic shrimp bc I've only heard good things. My niece and her boyfriend were visiting and I wanted them to experience this food truck. They ordered a combo plate with the garlic shrimp and steak. The food was delicious. They actually rated it the best meal that had while they were on the island. That should tell ya something. The shrimp were big and cooked perfectly. Seasoned to perfection. Just the right amount of garlic and the extra sauce made for the best rice. I was happy with the quantity of shrimp too. Definitely a worth it meal in my book. I also got a teriyaki spam musubi to try. Also good. I like how they wrapped it. Just a slight variation from the ones I typically eat. Will definitely be back. I still want to try the salmon. We got in line just at the right time bc when we turned to sit down after ordering there was a long line that had formed behind us. Our food got done quickly and we sat down at the picnic tables to enjoy it. It was busy so we shared a picnic table with another family. Hopefully you don't mind doing that bc space is often limited.
