Always a favorite with an expansive coverage of meal choices. I ordered the lasagna and my husband chose the pork chops. He must eat gluten free and the servers always check with the chef to make sure his dinner choices can be made for him. My lasagna was hot and spiced just right. The portion was large. Hubs had 2 pork chops expertly seasoned and tender. We had to save room for dessert. We had cheesecake and Death by Chocolate, which is gluten free. A perfect end to a great meal. read more

If you are EVER in Griffin you MUST eat here! While shopping in Griffin I asked a shop owner where we could grab lunch...now there was a pizza place and a bar/grill across the street but she said Corner Cafe so we tried it and I am SOOO glad we did. The staff was SUPER NICE. We had a little wait but not a bad one. Once seated we had menus and drinks immediately. The selections available will appease any picky eater. I chose the nachos...and they came loaded. I couldn't eat it all but they were exactly what I hoped for and more. We also had the jalapeño poppers and the Southwest Eggrolls....both will definitely be repeat items for us. My girlfriend had a Greek Salad and she wasn't disappointed, The dessert case was impressive and the slices are massive. We didn't leave room for dessert but if we had. Well lit café. No bar. Very good American, Italian and a few Greek food items on menu. Some cute cozy booths along one wall and table/chairs throughout the rest. At the register in the back there is a glass case of various cakes that you can buy a slice of. This place would be good for meeting someone you are trying to have conversation with as it was not too noisy. Limited privacy since tables were close together. Great place if you love southern food. I'm visiting from out of town so I rely on referrals when going out to eat.... This referral one was most definitely A Fail ! I don't like giving just one star because there was probably something that was good and in this case it was the service.. Afterall it wasn't my server's fault that all the food had is problems.. I ordered an omelette with ham and Jack cheese.. Without adding any spices you would think that it would have Some flavor, Not !! It just tasted blah ! The home fries that accompanied the flavorless omelette were 95% burnt, hard and difficult to chew... I also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy because through expierience and word of mouth,, I've always had, at least pretty good luck when selecting this item,, Not Here !! The biscuits were hard, so hard I had a difficult time cutting them.. The gravy was lukewarm at best !! The coffee I'll have to say was pretty good, but after all it's pretty hard to mess up coffee these days... Anyway I'm hoping that WHO EVER was in the kitchen trying to prepare the food was having, for some reason, a very bad day and was taking it out on the customers .... My coworkers & I were in the area for work. So we stopped at Corner Cafe for work based on Yelp reviews. I ordered the chicken philly with fries it was pretty tasty and pretty large so I was able to make 2 meals out of it. My Director ordered lasagna with a salad she didn't really care for her food she said the sauce was a little too bitter for her taste. My other coworker ordered a California burrito without chicken but with shrimp because she is pescatarian. When she got her food and started eating she realized the burrito had chicken in it we immediately called the server over & told her about the mix up she apologized & said she told the kitchen no chicken. She took the plate & asked her if she wanted anything else she said no she was pretty upset. The server said she would comp the meal and then offered her cake. She obliged and asked for some carrot cake. After we asked for our checks the server brought my coworker a check for her cake after she told her she was comping her meal. She sent over someone who was posing as the manager and said there must have been a misunderstanding because they do not give away free cake. My coworker was completely appalled at this and said she is not paying for anything and tried to return the cake. The guy then said I'll just pay for it. Not sure if I will return. read more

Corner Cafe - good prices, good food, a very friendly staff.. ginormous desserts and a ton to choose from. you cant arrive short of dying of hunger, or you Will be taking home a sizeable doggy bag.. good portions, quality service.. you wont be disappointed. even short staffed as they and nearly every other eatery in the U.S. is, they smile, and work their tails off for you. other than not open on Sunday ( hey, no issue, workers need a day off ), they are open till i believe 9 pm, and have an Excellent breakfast/menu.. out early in Griffin ? get breakfast here.. you wont be sorry. read more

I saw some friends, went over to say hi and ask about the food. Oh, have you never been here, he says. I said, why no I haven't. He gave me the run down. Needless to say, we ordered ribs, chicken parmesan and the seafood stuffed whatever. OMG. Everything was great. I won't bore you with the particulars but this is a definite MUST TRY when in Griffin. I stumbled upon the Corner Cafe for lunch while I was in town one day, and I am glad I did! The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. You get pretty large portions for entrees, so beware, but everything was really tasty. I ordered the broccoli poppers for an app, and then had an eggplant parmesan sandwich with a side of lemon chicken orzo soup. The poppers were cheesy and crispy (so, everything you'd want in a "popper"), and the eggplant sandwich was hot, the cheese was melty, and the sauce was seasoned perfectly. If you're a big fan of desserts (more specifically, pies and outrageous layer cakes), this is also the place to go. They have a big array of pies, cakes, and cookies and you get a lot of bang for your buck! I'd highly recommend the Corner Cafe, and plan on returning with my family. read more
