Cowboy is a reactive dog (not aggressive) and anxious dog. Ladale has helped us with his reactivity as well as him learning to respect us and trust us. We are most likely going to do another round of classes in the new year. The money was well worth it & Ladale works with you to make sure you get everything you need. After picking up our dog from their care, he came home dehydrated, extremely stressed, and had bloody stool, which he's never experienced to this degree before. He refused to eat or drink, and it was clear he hadn't been properly cared for or monitored. We understand that boarding can be stressful for some dogs, but as an animal hospital, we expected better communication and basic wellness checks--especially when a pet's behavior changes so drastically under their watch. I hope Oak View takes this as a wake-up call to improve their pet monitoring and customer communication. We won't be returning for boarding.

Summary: My dogs behaviors were not corrected and were in fact made worse. Trainer cancelled…read moreappointments multiple times, sometimes even on the same day. Said he would refund us and did not and is now ghosting us.* I feel like others should be made aware of my experience. I contacted Ben about a small breed dog that I rescued just before the pandemic. This dog has a huge fear of strangers that we have been unable to make progress with on our own. Anytime he sees a stranger or hears a noise he associates with a stranger he has fits of shaking and uncontrollable barking/ growling. I was apprehensive about Ben being able to help us but when he met with us he said he was completely certain he could help our dog and that "he would be like a whole new dog" when he was done. Ben also said that if we were unhappy with our dogs training that we would not pay the second installment of $625. Due to this, I agreed for our dog to stay with him for the two weeks of training. When we arrived on the agreed upon day and time to drop our dog off, Ben wasn't expecting us. He still agreed to take him but said he had to meet another client in 15 minutes so our farewells were rushed. By the end of the two weeks Ben told us he wanted just one more day with our dog several times and cancelled drop off on us once so our dog actually stayed with him 3 weeks. It got to the point I was afraid something had happened to him and he didn't want to tell us. When he did bring our dog back, the barking remained largely unchanged. He even had a complete come apart when the school bus came while Ben was with us. It was at that time that Ben offered to do some additional lessons in our home because he said he thought our dog was close but not quite there yet. He then left our home but came back shortly to request the other half of the payment. I thought this was odd because I had assumed we would discuss that after the additional lessons since the dogs behavior was still so unchanged. I felt a bit pressured so I did pay him the other half but stressed my concerns with him and he assured us with a few additional lessons that the barking behavior would be gone. After having our dog back home it was apparent the barking was completely unchanged and were in fact now even worse. Now he was even barking at us when we came in from another room or got up off the couch. The extra lessons never happened. He cancelled multiple times for various reasons sometimes rescheduling multiple times in the same day only to cancel. Finally I texted and said we wanted to pursue other options and felt we were entitled to a half refund. On his website he says he does not use negative reinforcement but basically the only things he taught us to do to correct the barking was pulling on his collar sharply or stomping at him. That might work for a dog barking for the fun of it but for fear based barking it just made our dog afraid of us. For us it just felt wrong and wasn't getting results. We followed all of his instructions to the letter and our dog was way worse for it. He agreed to the refund and said he would process it as soon as he could. A week goes by and no refund. I text him about it and he replied that he is on vacation and would address the refund when he got back. That was nearly three weeks ago. Now he is ghosting us. I feel like I've been scammed.

I'm sure there are kind people who work here, but we are very dissatisfied with our experience. We trusted this facility to properly monitor and care for our Australian Shepherd while we were away, paying around $50 per night plus tip. When we picked him up yesterday, we were told he had a hotspot and had been favoring one leg. At pickup, his foot was very red, but there was no visible blood. By the time we got him home, his foot was noticeably bleeding and the condition was worse than we were led to believe. This was not something that happened overnight and should have been attended to. Today we took him to the vet, where we learned that infection had already set in. The visit cost us an additional $150, and he is currently unable to put weight on his foot and will need at least a week to recover. We attempted to contact the facility through both the website and email and have yet to receive any response. While we understand mistakes can happen, this situation is not acceptable. I would encourage anyone looking for attentive care and communication to look elsewhere.

What a super job she did with our crew that requires a twice a day visit, kennel wash down, play time, food, water and meds. She was on time provided txt updates and even left us notes of the day's events. We know that our guys loved here and she took the time because they were spoiled when we got home and looked great.
