i just went into constable to get an eyebrow piercing, i've had two other piercings here and it's all the same song and dance. Come when they open wait an hour and get a piecing in five minutes. today i got the artist with the long beard (bobby? he didn't say his name) and he was upset that i kept asking him to move it (total like four times) kept saying "you want it purposely crooked????" all condescending. eventually i settled on a placement he pierced me before i could breathe in. if you like to surrounded by elitist artists while spending top dollar on a piercing go here. read more

I have always had a good experience here when it comes to piercings. I had my septum pierced here and have always returned if I need help changing out the jewelery. The piercer is lovely and has never made me feel uncomfortable ever. I just got my first tattoo here and the experience was just fine. I don't want to out the artist but I just don't think they're "bedside" manner if you will was warm at all. I just felt awkward the entire time and like my appointment was just a chore. I went on June 27, 23 to get my nose pierced. I had my 3 & 5 yr olds with me. I've been wanting to get it done for a bit and it was finally time. They do not take reservations for adult piercings so you fill out the paperwork and wait your turn. You must stay in order to be "in line". The receptionist was a friendly girl. The piercer Scott was good. He explained everything step by step & I'll be honest, I was a bit nervous so I missed a few things he said.... Anyway, it didn't hurt & my eyes didn't water. My kids did great during our 45 min wait. The cost was $50 & I purchased the saline spray for $5. So far, the healing process is going well. I've gotten four piercings from this place: Scott pierced my tragus, nose and navel, Billy pierced both nipples :) I love the piercers, and the quality of their workspace and cleanliness is amazing! The ambience is nice, and the workers are very nice as well. One thing I am not very happy with, is that if you are 13+, piercings are walk-ins only, so sometimes walking in, it's a 2hr wait, even if I called right beforehand and they said that the wait time was 10 minutes! I took my 8yo here to get her ears pierced for the first time. She was nervous but over all excited. Billy helped us and was wonderful with her. He explained everything to her in a way that was clear and helped to calm her nerves. We went there to get my daughter ears pierced and we had Billy do it for us. He was very nice and explained everything well, including that they back up their piercings. A couple of weeks later one of my daughters ears started to swell and become infected. I cleaned exactly as they instructed me to do. I called them to let them know and they said come in so they could check it out but it was close to closing time and I live 50 min away. They said take her to the ER (no, not an ER necessary visit) and once it healed to bring her back and they would redo it for free. It healed, so I called them to reschedule and she told me I would have to pay for it again ..... ugh... huh? That's not what I was told and that's not backing up piercings. I did what I was instructed with cleaning. So we made an appointment with Rowan at a near by target and her ear has been perfect. read more

When I got my nostril re pierced by Scott he told me he had to "push through skin" with the bar... he re-pierced my nostril in a completely different area and now it sits extremely slanted. I've seen a lot of negative reviews, but for me, all of my experiences here have been great, whether I'm there for piercings or a tattoo. Most recently I got my rook pierced by Kayla and although she's quiet, she's really great and quick! I didn't even know the needle was going through my ear and my lack of anxiety made it seem less painful. It healed in about 6 months completely and it's great and placed beautifully!! I got a tattoo on my hip last June by Mikey and I love it. It healed extremely fast and he was a really great artist that was prepped and ready for my tattoo with multiple sketches for me to look at. I wanted to get a tattoo celebrating a milestone and I chose Nick in January 2022 because of his beautiful profile. We discussed for six months the design including font. The morning of the appointment (noon) he was late with no explanation. Appeared to be very tired and grumpy. He complained he had nothing prepared and all he was going to be able to do was the writing....10% of the tattoo???? After a six month wait time??? He walked around complaining, using profanity, going for smoke breaks, getting coffee and at one point threw his iPad on the chair. Should I have left? YES!!! Did I leave? no....He finished the tattoo and I left with his promise this incredibly black tattoo would lighten up and it didn't. My flowers are ugly, my bee looks like a wasp and there's two random sticks (?) in the middle. I dealt with the tattoo for a year and just accepted wearing long sleeves. Fast forward to May 2023 and I stumbled upon work done by Phil!!!!! Phil was able to improve my tattoo 100%!!!! Used shading to make the super black lines softer looking. Added bees and butterflies to balance the flowers. Added a gorgeous new sunflower and reworked my wasp to look like a bee!!!!! I honestly feel beautiful again and am so pleased with his work!!!! I'm currently looking to update a 35 year old tattoo and Phil and I already have ideas!!!! Can't recommend Phil enough for beautiful collaborative art!! read more

A month ago I called Constable Tattoo in order to get a piercing. I ended up choosing a Conch piercing and it was done by Billy. He was extremely friendly, helpful, and understanding. Fast forward a little over a month and my conch piercing had begun swelling up and looked irritated. I knew that something was wrong. I called Constable and I was able to swing over the day of. I sat and waited for about 15 minutes, until a piercer had approached me and took me into the piercing room. This piercer- Scott asked me what happened. I told him it's swelling and I'm unsure why. I let him know I had been cleaning it with the saline spray, that I had purchased from them. He then condescendingly asked "With what?". I let him know I had cleaned it with a Cotton Ball and a Q-Tip. He ripped me a new one letting me know that was the problem, he then started lecturing me about "I know none of our piercers would've recommended that". At every sentence he gave me a snarky ending "That's doesn't happen here DUDE", "That's where your problem is DUDE", "It's up to you DUDE". I asked for Scott's advice, knowing he is a professional piercer, to leave it in based on how it looks or take it out. He said "UP to you!", "Your opinion" in a fierce, aggressive way. Trusting my piercers and tattoo artists (based on what I'm getting) I turn to them for advice, regardless, I felt like I was shamed for even asking his opinion. When a few minutes in before I was berated for not remembering their advice/aftercare correctly. Keep in mind- no where in the conversation did I accuse any of the piercers for giving me that information, I made the mistake of mixing up what I should and shouldn't use. *My own personal fault that I own up to*. I was shamed, insulted, and was very upset after leaving. When I got home I found Billy's number and gave him a call. Billy reassured me he would talk to him. That was very much appreciated. This review is not for my personal gain, but rather BE WARNED about the piercer Scott. I was hesitant about leaving a review, but I don't want anybody to have to be a "punching bag" for a piercers personal issues or problems. I came in there to get my conch piercing fixed, and was treated like a piece of garbage. Pros- Nice phone answerer/woman. She was kind, said I could walk in and they'd take care of it. Billy is a nice piercer, but for the other one.... Both of us had a tattoo done by Brendan who was recommended by family. What a nice piece of art did he place on our bodies. From design to finish, all was extremely professional. It was my wives first one and Brendan made sure she was as comfortable as possible and it worked out perfect. For me my third, an 5 hour one turned out exactly as hoped! If I could give more stars I would. Kayla and Constable Tattoo deserve at least 10! I found that they do permanent make up and have been wanting to get my eyebrows done. I found she does a technique called Powder Brows. In my opinion I think they look better than the microblading like I had done years ago. It depends on the person I believe but I am so glad to see there are other options out there. Kayla and I did a consultation through messages on what I was looking for and I sent a pic. She seamlessly worked with me on my goofy schedule and got me in pretty quickly. When I got there I got checked in. The place has a cool vibe and very clean. Kayla went over what we were going to do and then got started. I was so impressed with how thorough she was! Measured out and lined up everything with perfect precision. She explained every step and then we got started. She numbed me up pretty good and I barey felt anythng. I told her that I have issues with pain and she accomodated me. After she made sure to tell me everything I needed to know in how to take care of my eyebrows and then made the follow up appointment for the touch up in a few weeks. Can't wait to see how they look all finished! The whole process went quick I think. I was there for a couple of hours but that was ok. Last November my brother and I wanted to get the same piece done. A friend of mine referred me to Bobby and it was an awesome experience from start to finish! I am a repeat customer and was beyond unhappy with my latest experience. Their piercer doesn't take appointments so I called right before driving 40 minutes to just get my jewelry changed. I was told there was so wait time. As soon as I got there 2.5 hour wait. I am a college athlete and graduating in a week. This was my first off day since January. I have had constant issues because the bar is too long and needs to be shorter. I have a tendency to pass out which is why I would only go here. I've been tattooed and pierced in several places throughout the country and I've come to realize that two of the worst experiences I've had were here at The Constable. I got my daith pierced here in 2016. The piercing itself went as expected, except I wasn't given any aftercare instructions aside from a verbal "don't mess with the jewelry and make sure you clean it twice a day." Super helpful. I was also never told what gauge or metal type was used. Also, a few days after the piercing, one of the balls of the curved barbell (think septum jewelry) came unscrewed, this was unsettling as I did not "mess with the jewelry" as directed. I reluctantly returned to get a small tattoo with a friend in late-2017. We chose to come here after nearby shops were booked up and we were mere walk-in clients. Given the size and lack of detail that our tattoos required, we expected to be in there for MAYBE forty minutes. Instead, it took nearly two hours. Our artist was very unprofessional and distracted by literally everything. At one point, he answered the phone during my friend's tattoo. Presumably, the caller asked if the shop could accommodate a walk-in, he said yes, but that he would be doing the tattoo, and he was an apprentice. Interesting. He never told my friend and I that he was an apprentice. Given the fact that he was putting something permanent on our bodies, this would've been an important thing to tell us. Another thing that irked me was the overall decor of the shop. Immediately upon entering, you're greeted with an overwhelming amount of NRA and Thin Blue Line paraphernalia. Regardless of how you feel about either organization and their message, it is agreeable that this is a questionable design theme for a business, especially one with such a broad clientele. read more
