There's A Home Goods too but not sure that's an actual anchor store. It's a beautiful mall to walk around and shop. Lots of smaller stores many of which I had never heard of. A smaller food court compared to most malls. For there only being 3 days until Christmas I was shocked at how dead it was. We had pictures with Santa at 12pm and I got there early as I anticipated a full parking lot. But nope no issues parking. Found Santa right away in the middle of The mall by JCPenney. That truly is a beautiful set that he's in. He's also a good looking Santa! We didn't stop in or purchase anything in the stores, although we did walk thru Round 1 which was a cool arcade / small bowling venue. Lots of empty stores. . The center elevator was also out of order. So you I'd be nice to see a restaurant in here and eventually attend the Mammoth hockey practice arena to watch them practice. Also a Mammoth or Jazz souvenir shop would be really ideal.

In a world of large retail centers with big box stores and vast parking lots, there are a few older…read morecenters that have been around a long, long time. Union Square Center is one of them. It doesn't have a lot of curb appeal, although at one time I think it did. The buildings have some charm and character if not a lot of upkeep. What I like about it here is that you won't find the boring run-of-the mill stores that you'll find everywhere else. These are mom and pops, many of them representing a variety of cultures, it's a wonderful melting pot of ethnicities and businesses. Sadly, there's a good amount of turnover in businesses here, but that does add a fun element to see what's new every time you come visit. It would be nice to see a little more maintenance and upkeep to preserve the character here...but then again, we don't want to modernize it too much, do we?

I have seen such a turnover of businesses here, now it reminds me of a ghost town. The parking lot is a mess and needs to be resurfaced and stripped. I've only started coming here because of the food prep company I started using that has a location here in the plaza. There isn't any other business here, that sparks my interest, from what I could see.

This setup is pretty common-outdoor store entrances that face the streets, not like the indoor mall of the 80's and 90's. The nice thing here is you can easily navigate to the store you're here for. Or you can park on one end and walk up and down the row and hit many shops along the way. Parking is plentiful-there are stalls in front of all the stores, as well as larger parking areas scattered throughout. Be aware that many of the roads are one way, so watch for that. But I've never had a problem finding a spot, even on the busiest of days. They are also well lit at night, which I appreciate. The variety of stores that you'll find here are also pretty common in these types of places-a few big box stores (Ross, Michael's, Kohl's) as well as a handful of other chain restaurants and shops. Of course, there's the token cell phone stores mixed in with boutiques. I like the charm of it-a little something for everyone, and maybe check off a few errands while you're there too.

I would rather drive 20 miles out of my way for a mall that has an abundant number of products and services I need to get stuff done. Luckily for me, The Shops at Fort Union are near me. Because of their location near the junction of Midvale, Cottonwood Heights, and Sandy, it's close to a heckuva lot of people in the SL Valley. The first thing I like is that it serves more a close-to-home crowd rather than the business lunch or general shopping crowd of say a Commons or The Shops at South Town. The tent pole store of The Shops at Fort Union is the Smith's: A tried-and-true grocery store with good prices and a stellar selection. The Commons and South Town don't. There's also a Walmart and -- at least very important to me -- is a Petco: toys, training, and grooming for my dogs. Obviously, food is important to us Yelpies! I find myself at Five Guys Burgers and Fries the most. There's also J Dawgs, Chick-Fil-A, Firehouse Subs, The Pie (the best pizza in town, and they deliver), Waffle Love, a Rumbi, Dickey's, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Teriyaki Express, Nagoya Sushi, Chili's, etc. There also several clothes-centric stores: Lane Bryant, Ross, Mr. Mac, Gordman's, and even DSW shoes. I could list places forever. My only beef is there is a complex right next to it with a Original Pancake House, a Wich Which, Coldstone, etc. that apparently aren't a part of the complex ... they aren't directly accessible and more of a pain to get to than they need to be. Overall though, a great place to shop!

The South Jordan Town Center is just what it should be-local businesses, a library, restaurants,…read moreshopping and city hall. It's not only a place that people come when they are hungry or running an errand, this place holds events occasionally too. The Farmer's Market is here in the summer and it's a fun, festive destination in the winter to see the twinkling lights and decorated store windows. The parking can get a little tricky if you want to park right outside the place you are visiting. But if you are willing to walk a little, there are plenty of spots just north and south of the main center area. My favorite part? The outdoor seating in the middle. Grab a snack and then sit at a table on a nice day and joy the shade of the trees.

This is one of the more interesting developments in the southern part of the SLC valley. You could argue that it's a strip mall of sorts, but that doesn't quite do justice to what's going on here. They're trying to be more thoughtful by creating community spaces, and when there's a library involved, you know it's not exactly a standard retail plaza. The thing that I appreciate most is that there's an effort (surely someone on staff?) to create events. I've attended the farmers market here a couple of times and enjoyed the small but lovely gathering of farmers and artisans. I had some friends sell there and they enjoyed the experience. I think this model of creating community in a space is great--probably it's not been as easy in COVID, but the last year has made me appreciate even more that there are spaces like this.

Nothing stays the same but change…read more This shopping center was going through changes before the pandemic hit us. Gone are the mom and pop shops, but instead you have chains, and more chains. Most everything is here banking, restaurants, clothing, exercising, entertainment, even a bar. Lots of empty buildings. Shopco has closed its doors, but it looks like Target will be taking its place. Gone are a lot of businesses so the plaza has an empty feel to it. One nice thing it is close to the 215 freeway entrance/exit. We'll see how things progress during, and after the covid 19 goes away.

I get it, ya stink... but don't yell and scream when you miss a shot, other people in the bar ya know. Tacos were incredible and only 6 bones on TT (taco tuesday). Our server Steph was a sweetheart and looked after us dearly, bless her heart. Overall, place was nice and well priced. Bring some head muffs if people are on the pool tables.
