A Marriot hotel offered at a slightly upgraded economy price. The location is perfect with a Market Basket, liquor store, BK and McDonalds nearby, as well as restaurants off course. Big parking lot nicely landscaped too. We had 2 different rooms. our bad as in retrospect we would have been happy with just the original 2 bed setup, but boss lady wanted a suite which is much larger and equipped with a desk, a second TV and a sleep-able couch. It was super roomy and more money but not necessary and I wouldn't do it again. Regular room is sufficient. The AC was great and quiet. That is huge plus to me who didn't have to use earplugs! I had no problem navigating the cable and Netflix. The bath and shower were good, (the suite had a bathtub). Didn't utilize the heated pool or gym but both looked fine, certainly adequate if you must use the treadmill on your stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Both days the hosts were super friendly and let's see scrambled or hard-boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, bagels, English muffins, cereals, yogurt, banana etc. The coffee which was very much needed was excellent. Here is where they won the "above and beyond award". Left my pillow LOL how could it be, it's my best friend. Anyways I called up Monday afternoon upon arriving home and after saying OMG 5 times I called the hotel and spoke to Collin who assured me that it happens all the time hmm ok there are other idiots like me. He said UPS will pick it up and they would run my card for the exact cost and ship it to me. Lo and behold today is only Wed and I have my pillow back! Great job Collin my employee of the month!

Quiet convenient hotel near amenities (gas, supermarket, fast food, short ride to downtown…read morePlymouth). Room was clean and appeared to have been updated recently although the wallpaper hanger clearly didn't care about the repeat in the pattern. ;) Microwave, coffee machine and frig. were available in the room. The only chair in the king room was the desk chair and there probably was not any room for it. The bathroom had a walk in shower but the toilet was very low. Cookies were available in late afternoon. Breakfast on the weekend started at 6:30 am, a bit too late for us to take advantage of before hitting the road. Front desk folks were pleasant and helpful.

We spent two lovely evenings at Jane's Tea Rose Inn. While my personal style is more modern Crate…read moreand Barrel, I enjoyed stepping back in time to this ornately decorated Victorian B&B. Jane is a lovely host, and it is apparent she seeks to please her guests by cooking up hearty, tasty breakfasts. This is no measly continental buffet...We were prepared fluffy scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, buttery waffles, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, coffee and orange and cranberry juice. Enough to stuff us and our bottomless pit teenage son, and she gladly accommodated his food allergies. If that wasn't enough, Jane also has coffee/tea available throughout the day, and some cookies/pastries for grab and go. The 3rd floor Shabby Chic space is roomy for families with children with three separate sleeping rooms. As converted attic space, the angled ceilings are a bit low, and the tricky stairs and ceilings make it more suited to young shorter guests (we're all 5'8" or less). Cleaning protocols seem really solid, including bed, bath, and dining spaces. My only criticism is that while the numerous dried and/or fake roses are part of the theme/decor, they inevitably collect a lot of dust - not great for those with allergy sensitivities.

On the…read moremorning of August 18th (the day before the reservation) they called us and told us that they had double-booked the room and because the other party had booked prior to us, our reservation was canceled. They had our reservation for over eight months and waited until the day before we were to arrive to tell us they had double-booked the room and that we no longer had a reservation!! The Plymouth, New Hampshire area is notoriously difficult to get a room in the August timeframe. That is why we made our reservations in January. Now we are faced with paying $500+ a night for a room (if we can find one in the area) or having to travel an hour or more from a hotel room in another area to attend a wedding in Plymouth on the 20th. If this hotel really cared about its customers, they would have let us know immediately that the room was overbooked.

I was not surprised at all to find this Yelp page and discover Federal House Inn has a 5-star…read morerating; it is absolutely well-deserved! We first stayed here in May 2019 on the night my husband and I got engaged. We got engaged at the top of a multi-pitch rock climbing route in Rumney. Our families live far away, so we actually FaceTimed them from this Inn to share the news of our engagement with them. We went to The Last Chair next door for a celebratory dinner then had a lovely night at this Inn to enjoy our first night as an engaged couple. We came back to the Northeast last week for a wedding and spent a couple of days up in NH to do some hiking in the White Mountains. Now that it has been 5 years since our engagement, we thought it would be fun to stay here again to reminisce! We remembered Kevin right away--he is the most friendly and generous host. He makes you feel so welcome like you are family as soon as you arrive. We probably spent a couple hours talking with Kevin throughout our stay, he is just so wholesome and kind. He puts a lot of effort into adding special touches around the Inn to make it extra charming. Afternoon wine/cheese, a fridge filled with beer and waters, a coffee/tea station, freshly clipped roses in every room, chocolates and a cute quote on the bed, a guestbook to sign in your room, robes to wear. Not to mention the gourmet breakfast he makes for you in the morning! Ours was a fruit starter followed by homemade vanilla bean belgian waffles with hand carved local smoked bacon. There's also a hot tub outside that you can use. We came on a weeknight when the Inn wasn't very busy, so Kevin upgraded our room for free! We had such a lovely time here and really enjoyed coming back 5 years later. This place sets the bar high for a Bed & Breakfast--you get all the history (from the building to the stories of those who have lived there), beautiful grounds, a host with tremendous hospitality, and so many little things that add up to make this an unforgettable place to stay. Looking forward to our next visit when we are back in NH someday!

Many options but many with poor reviews. After a week of research was able to narrow the selection down to two places and the breakfast served here was the deciding factor. Booking as super easy on their web site. The Inn is located in a quiet area outside of the college town of Plymouth in Compton, NH a 5 minute drive to the arena and minutes from the highway made this the perfect location for our stay. Easy to find and ample parking made getting there easy. When we arrived we went to the entrance abutting the parking area. Travin answered the door, allowed us in from the cold and got our checking in under way, promptly checked in with in seconds of coming in. We were escorted to our room and each room we went through, Travin explained that we could make use of at anytime but to please be mindful of other guests sleeping. Up a narrow set of steps, being an old building from 1764, I would imagine they once were the servants staircase. We arrived to our room, key passed to us and we were on our own. Fast and efficient check in process. The room was fairly large for a queen bed and you can tell it is an older home but very well maintained. There as a small crack in the bathroom flooring, but very minor. We went out and met up with family and grabbed a pizza for our room. The room was well heated with no drafts which one would expect in such an old home. We slept very well, bed was comfortable. In the morning David greeted us and asked if we had a preference of where we wanted to eat! We were given a choice of the dining room or their lovely greenhouse porch. It was a beautiful day but a bit chilly. David was thoughtful enough to place a small space heater by our table to keep us warm, so wonderful! For breakfast we were not given a choice but recall Trevin asking if we liked eggs and bacon, absolutely! The eggs were baked with some cherry tomatoes halved and some light seasoning. He made this amazing bread stick. It was a croissant bread wrapped around a piece of bacon and baked off. Brushed with some Dijon and finished off with sesame seeds. YUM!! Not a crumb was left on our plates. Checking out was easy peasy, leave your key in an envelope on the dresser and your out! We really liked the town of Plymouth and will be back to explore some more. Definitely will stay here again. Thank you Trevin and David for your amazing hospitality.
