They asked me to come in & the office hours are 10-3 p.m. so off I went into Williamsburg. The staffer who helped me was wonderful & did get to the bottom of that package situation. Amazon took care of it for us ahead of time since we'd assumed someone chose to steal it but a good example of a politician working for the people. I highly recommend contacting them if you have an issue with a federal agency or any post office in her district.

Very, very, loud people. At 6 am, at 3 pm, at 2 am. I don't mind... really. Unless it's 6 am and I am trying to sleep. Unless it's 2 am and I am trying to sleep. There is really no need for a block party to be taking place Sunday-Monday outside my window. The 90th Precinct has been helpful for keeping things quiet by driving by now and then. ...but not enough.

Many visitors talk loudly, carry on long conversations, and answer phone calls inside the library, often at a volume that makes it feel more like a busy subway station than a place intended for reading and studying. The purpose of a library is to provide a quiet environment where people can read, study, and concentrate, yet this is rarely respected. What is even more disappointing is that the staff does not seem to address the problem. There are no visible signs asking people not to talk on the phone or to keep their voices down, and disruptive behavior is often ignored. This creates an unpleasant and uncomfortable atmosphere for anyone trying to focus. At this point, it is honestly more peaceful to borrow a book and go to a park or a cafee place, where the environment is often quieter than inside the library itself.

They even made a special exception to get my information and application processed in less than a week. I could not be more pleased with this service. There was a line, but it was moving fast. All the workers were kind and helpful. I was directed to the passport window, and the woman in the window was nice, helpful, and accommodating. I lost my old passport, and she walked through the documents needed with me (I do be staying prepared). She told me the prices, so I could write the checks on the spot, and answered all the questions I had about delivery time. I cannot speak on the experiences that everyone else had with postage, but my passport application here was perfectly a-okay.
