I applied for rapid service with my two kids 2 and 9. The first passport for my youngest went through quickly. The other is pending a consent form to verify the identity again by both parents which sometimes is standard procedure. In need of a passport renewal, I headed to Deluxe Passport Express in order to circumvent what otherwise could have been a two-month long waiting period. Since I didn't require my passport by any particular date, I opted for "Standard," or a two to three week waiting period, in which the new passport and "returned citizenship evidence" are mailed back to you. And for just $90 (plus a $6 photo fee- yes, they can take your photo right there!), I received my new passport in just two weeks to the day. Having filled out the required paperwork in advance, which one may access through their website, it was a seamless process. Furthermore, I was the only customer there during my visit, which is always a bonus. That said, everything was handled in an agreeable, professional, and efficient manner, and I was on my way in no time. On a side note, I was also appreciative of the receptionist's patience in not only allowing me to comb my hair (it was a windy day) prior to taking my photo, but also showing my photos to me- and taking three!- before I was finally satisfied with the last one. None of my previous passport photos were good, and I was determined to get one this time around! I highly recommend Deluxe Passport Express to anyone in need of a passport renewal. I researched several sites to get a Chinese Visa, many of them had hidden fees, etc., but I checked the site and then called to get confirmation of fees. Not only did someone answer the phone but they were very polite, knowledgeable and clear on what their service was and time frame for receiving my documents. I mailed my passport and documents the first week of September, they sent an email acknowledging receipt. I called the 2nd week of September to check status they advised that it was being picked up that day. I received a text with my Fed Ex tracking number and expected delivery date. It arrived at my house on Friday September 14th which was a little over a week from the time they received my documents. The Chinese Visa was affixed to my passport and everything looked good. I got a 10 year visa, however if I ever need a visa for another country I would absolutely use them again. read more

Recently sent a friend here for a Chinese tourist visa. My friend did not do all of his paperwork correctly and sent it in 3 days before his departure. We got down to the wire and ended up the day before he left for China without a passport in our hands and it seemed like we had run out of options. However, when we called, the representatives of Deluxe gave us options for our seemingly impossible situation of needing to get a passport from New York to Ohio in less than 8 hours. We talked to Abe in the visa department and he used his connections at JFK to get the passport onto a cargo plane headed for Columbus. We got the passport about 6 hours before his departure. Abe and Deluxe saved the day! As to my other review, the service was still abrupt and rude most of the time. But, if you are as harsh with them as they are with you, they seem to understand you better. I saw that they were considerably cheaper than other companies for a 2 day passport but they didn't deliver it because they made a error in the paperwork. I received it 7 days later A seven day passport is $75 cheaper on their website so I asked for a $75 refund. I was contacted a week after I requested the refund and it was granted. I needed to renew my passport quickly before a trip abroad, and had gotten quotes above $250 of extra fees to expedite the process. One of the reviews mentioned a run down building, but the rest of the reviews seemed good so I decided to contact them. The initial phone call was short but informative, and the tone slightly snappy which could make some people uncomfortable, but it was easy to get to their office, they filled the documents without any extra costs unlike some other places I had contacted, took my passport photos for $6, and the fees were practically half of any other quote I got. Yes the building and front door look nothing like the entrance to a regular office, you would think you arrived at someone's home. There was zero wait to deposit original passport, my new one was ready as promised within 5 business days and again no queue to pick up. This will now be my first stop place for visas as well. Look no further for a review on this place. I will explain my situation in as few words possible and how Deluxe Passport helped me resolve a HUGE problem. I am a Dual-Citizen and booked my trip back to Italy using my Italian passport. A week before the trip I realized my US passport was expired, which would be an issue when coming back to the US. After speaking to the US federal passport service, immediately, I gathered all necessary documents and tried heading into NYC greater federal building for an emergency appointment to renew my US passport. When I arrived there around 1:00 p.m, I was told to come back at 7:30-8:30 for walk-in appointments and that were would be a big line, so come even earlier for the CHANCE to be taken as a walk-in appointment. Now listen, I live 3 hours from NYC, so this was a huge problem for me. The money, time, etc spent getting there just that day was already A LOT. and i couldn't do that again at the CHANCE to get a passport the following day, spending more of my money, more of my time, more frustration. Same as Kristen A., I was uncertain given how few reviews there were, but Deluxe's fees were so dramatically lower than other passport expediters that I decided to have faith in the reviews that were here. It was trust well placed. Don't be fooled by the dilapidated stairway or the sparse office setting - - the Deluxe staff is seriously good at what they do. No fuss, no stress - - they just took my completed passport renewal application (it seemed a pleasant surprise to them that I'd completed it in advance) and a check made out to the government for the application fee, snapped my passport photo (four times! - - they were so nice about making sure I was satisfied with the photo), and told me to check back in four business days, I'd pay their expediting fee when I picked it up (they take credit cards, checks, or cash). And sure enough, four days later, there it was. Still no fuss, still no stress. If I had to mark them down for anything it was that they told me they'd call when the passport was in, or I could call at around 11 or noon.
