If you want to throw your money away, definitely come here. I brought my daughter to The Color Bar to get her hair dyed on 2/20. Originally we were only coming in for a consultation. I had concerns about her hair as it had been dyed previously with semipermanent dyes, one of which being black. The stylist happened to be free so she did a quick consultation and assured us that while she couldn't get the vibrant red that my daughter wanted, she would get her as close as possible. My daughter and I agreed and accepted the appointment and the $400 estimate she provided. It was a lot of money but in my mind I thought a higher ticket price would yield better results and a more experienced stylist. I mean "The Color Bar" sounds like a place that probably knows a thing or two about color. Wrong. Now, I know next to nothing about cosmology but I do know that everyone's hair is different and it's going to react differently depending on what has been done to the hair in the past. I also realize that the stylist isn't fully responsible for how her hair reacted to the products used but I'm wondering if she even did a test strand at this point. Where I do think she was wrong was not being upfront about how bad my daughter's hair could have turned out. Like if she had said "Your hair could come out orange with an ugly-ass band all the way around due to the previous color so you might want to rethink some things." I would have respected that and maybe would have gone back at some point with another, more achievable goal. Unfortunately, I think she was more interested in making money than the integrity of my daughter's hair. When we picked my daughter up I could tell she wasn't happy so I asked how soon we could come in and fix it. She said 6 to 8 weeks. We left and for the rest of the day my daughter tried to convince herself that it was okay. She was trying to not seem like a brat for not liking something that I'd spent so much money on. The next day it looked even worse! I called TCB to talk to a manager and there was no one available. Mind you, I'm still under the impression that there's nothing we can do about it for at least 6 weeks and I was not informed of the "7 day guarantee" or whatever it is that they offer. We end up going to another salon for a second opinion because there's no way I can let my daughter go to school with this hair on Monday. So I end up having to spend another $200 to get it fixed. When the manager gets back to me she say they don't do refunds. Okay. So the moral of the story is, "you get what you pay for" is not true at all bc I paid $400 for my daughter's hair to look like this.

    Bellami extensions. Blended perfectly!

She does a fabulous job every time. She is a great stylist and a really kind person as well. She's very laid back, relaxed and is not loud or boisterous. She is easy to talk to and to converse with. Her prices are very good too, better than the salons in Willis. I highly recommend her for women and men. She used to cut my son's hair as until he relocated to a different city. She always did a really good job on his hair as well. Switch Hair Studio is a very cute place. There are lots of older furnishings and decorative items in the shop, like kind of an art deco/Frank Lloyd Wright vibe. It is really interesting to look at all of the items and reminisce about seeing similar items in my childhood home. The shop is always neat and clean. There is usually plenty of free parking in the lot or on the street. See before and after pictures

I'm a pretty shy person so we didn't talk to much. But the atmosphere was great people are laughing and having a good time. I wish I knew the dude stylist name because he was hilarious! Nice place to go will be returning over I need a touch up.
