No tea for me please.... oh and a cup to go....
We stopped here after a quick visit to James' Hairdressing for Men. First thing that you notice is that this place is quaint and pokey. Thats not a bad thing... it cosy. Fast-Forward to the winter evenings where is dark outside at 1pm in the afternoon, well sorta.
There is a good selection of treats to choose from but i settled for a toastie (Cheese, Ham, Tomato & Red Onion - for a change) and soup. This was a reasonable deal. The soup was yum, but the toastie resembled a slither of the bread that it once was. I can't stand it when the toastie maker reduces the bread to razor thin slice, so thin in fact that i could probably saw my lips off eating it. The coffee is supplied by the premium coffee brand Illy so you know that this place is about quality products.
Despite the slight overlook and not knowing my feelings on said toastie makers the device was definitely worth a review. The staff were super-friendly and more than happy to strike up a conversation. This is always an added bonus.
If you head on over to the likes of Groupon and search for coffee den you will find a cutsie deal on afternoon tea and sandwiches. The offer is actually pretty decent and is a break from the norm.
Great for a cosy meet with friends and its good to see local businesses diversifying read more
