Tasty taco truck with bold flavors, but a bit pricey for what you get…read more Jalapeño Express is a small food truck parked in a dental office lot, with a few casual tables nearby and a speaker strapped to the truck for ambiance. It's a one-person operation, so service can be a bit slow, but the food feels authentically made with care. We ordered the 2 burritos, 2 tacos, and a drink deal. Burritos are medium-sized, comparable to Chipotle, and while one is enough for me, the full combo would just satisfy a bigger appetite. The burritos were a bit soggy and could've been more generously filled. The tacos were the stars -- palm-sized but packed with flavor. The tripa taco was perfectly fatty and crispy, while the lengua was soft and flavorful. I'd come back for the tacos over the burritos. Drinks are self-serve from a cooler in front of the truck. There are two self-serve salsas -- a fresh green one and a spicier red; I preferred the red for its kick. Price-wise, it's on the higher end for a taco truck, which might be a drawback for some. Still, the taste delivers. If you're not in a rush and want a casual, no-frills taco stop with strong flavors, Jalapeño Express is worth trying.

My son and I had steak burritos served by two young men that were in the trailer very friendly. We sat outside on some picnic bunches, listening to the Spanish music. It is good not great as I come from Chicago where we have 1 million taco burrito joints also for two burritos $31 seemed a little expensive but again it was decent.

We booked this food truck for our school's Fall Festival and they completely no-showed -- after…read moreconfirming with us multiple times. No call, no message, no explanation. Just... nothing. Because of that, hundreds of kids and families ended up with zero food or drink options at an event that was supposed to be fun and well-planned. Parents ended up having to walk their kids down the street to nearby restaurants, which totally disrupted the event and created safety concerns. If a business can't be relied on to show up when they commit to a community event -- especially one involving children -- that's a major problem. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. We won't be contacting them again for future school events.

Now the actual food was good! I split the Philly burger and the buffalo chicken sandwich with my friend. The Philly was fantastic! Loved it! The buffalo chicken didn't have any buffalo sauce, it was a fried piece of plain chicken, which I had zero time to go back for a side of buffalo. For an employer given lunch, I was super happy. However, it would have been nice to have pre selected items which a quicker grab and go type situation. Will definitely try Dagwood again!

I was thrilled to see this truck incidentally as we were looking for another truck. I decided to…read morechange my plans and get something from Taste of Korea instead and I'm glad that I was able to try it. I got the regular doshirak, which was essentially a large bento box. I opted for beef bulgogi and it came with rice, a fried dumpling, japchae, kimchi, pickled veggies, Korean rolled egg, bean sprouts, and a couple of other sides. The food was ready faster than the 15 minutes quoted, which was great. I enjoyed the bulgogi. It was tender and had good flavor. The pickled veggies and kimchi were the most flavorful sides. I also liked the japchae. The dumpling was too greasy, as evidenced by the grease in the wrapper and the egg and rice didn't have much flavor. The egg needed salt. I really wanted - and should've ordered - the Korean hot dog...next time. This place has great customer service and packaging. It's a bit pricey at $20 for what you get or for comparable options, which are within the $15-17 range.

Whether they were small versions of actual vehicles in production, or crazy dragsters or monster themed or anything else the wizards at Mattel could come up with, I wanted them all. You know what I didn't really want or collect as a kid? Trucks. Sorry Tonka. But I just didn't care about dump trucks or bulldozers or big rigs. And you know what, I kind of felt that way as an adult about food trucks. I mean, to me they were fine, but like my penchant for hot wheels in the past, I'd rather go to a sit down restaurant. Yeah, well Taste of Korea has me rethinking my food truck aversion! Located in a pretty ordinary parking lot on Beach Blvd, this is definitely a little food truck that can deliver some fantastic food! The guy taking orders is super friendly and patient as a noob like me tried to figure out what to order. Ultimately went with the Premium Doshirak, the bibimbap and the kimbap. For both the doshirak and the bibimbap I got the bulgogi beef for the protein. On the kimbap I tried the ham. All were excellent. The Doshirak is a cool box filled with banchan - small side dishes, and cooked rice. The banchan include Kimche, Japchae, fried dumplings and some cool desserts. The blogs is excellent and all of the banchan tasted great. I thought the eggplant was a little mushy but the flavor was still really good. Bibimbap flavor was excellent as well. The only downside is that the rice at the bottom doesn't get all crunchy from being cooked at the bottom of the hot bowl. But it was a minor issue to me. And the kimbap was super fresh. The ham wasn't overpowering and it was a nice change from getting role bulgogi in the kimbap as well. The only wish I have is more variation on the proteins for the dishes we got. But the food is super tasty and I look forward to going back to try the fried chicken and well, anything else on the menu. Maybe I'll bring a matchbox car or two to help pass the time while waiting for the food!
