The staff was very friendly. I love the decor. I love the space as a whole. The security basically had the pool closed the whole time we were here. :( Halls are a bit out dated and dirty. Not a great late night food selection

Just an overnight stay on the 18th floor at this splendid Hotel! Named after Clyde Tingley (info on their website about his influence in New Mexico), this 20 story hotel has the benefit of location to downtown, fun things to do nearby, food on site and a splendidly comfortable bed!! I had a chance to relax and listen to music, shop in their on site mercantile and enjoy a drink and their smoked trout spread. The portion was good and the spread was smoky but not overbearing. Valet or self parking in the garage is available. The reservationists were helpful, friendly and smiled - very welcoming! It didn't take long to check in. The king size bed was very comfortable and I loved the pillows too! The room was spacious and the bathroom was a good size as well.

If I could give negative stars I would. This was worse stay I've ever experienced in a hotel. The lack of consideration was unacceptable. I stayed on the 10th floor the shower was cold. Assistants was sent the gentleman told me that because the boiler is on the ground floor no matter what room we were in the water would be cold. He said no point of trying to switch rooms. I accepted but then pulled back the sheets other occupants hair everywhere. I called the front desk and they gave 2 complimentary breakfast. I explained all of this to the front desk Robert he said sorry that's all!!! This was booked thur a 3rd party but 231.00 for one night isn't cheap and the lack of here is some of your money back. Horrible experience and i would never recommend.

Furniture is damaged and stained, appliances are dated, stains and hair on the bed from previous guests as well as food on the floor from previous guests. The decor and furniture in the room is so dated that there is holes in the lamp shades with unbearable dust buildup, there is a side table with glass on top with who knows what in the crevices and under the glass (looks disgusting like it has NOT been cleaned. Ever.), stains all over the walls, and to top it all off the AC doesn't function and fails at pretty much its only job which is to keep the room cold or even above outside temperature which is 90 degrees. I have no clue why this is labeled as a 4 star hotel when the reviews seem to have a common theme (a cleanliness issue) amongst other things. Definitely not worth the nightly rate and if you're looking for the same quality but $80 cheaper you might as-well hole up in a motel 6.

Very good service but a little bit short considering it's 4 star hotel. The room was nice and has great view. I think the bed is too soft and I had to resort to sleep on the floor. Staff are really nice and tried their best to serve. We got a wrong information during the booking so they upgraded us a better room. It was a bit messy when a lot of people were checking in at the same time and they had their system (or whatever) updated that day. I got charged $300 extra for some reasons but thanksfully it's resolved in about 2 week. It's rather a long time frame though and it shouldn't have happened but it's good that it's sorted out. It would have been a really pleasant stay if they had not messed up the information with the booking team and a random charge was posted on my card. Anyway, all good, I'm thankful for the team that resolved it!

Beds - clean and comfy - The image shows a hotel room with two beds, each with white linens and pillows. A nightstand between the beds holds a lamp, a phone, and some personal items. The wall behind the beds has framed artwork. To the left, there is a sitting area with a dark chair, a floor lamp, and a small table. The room has a neutral color scheme with beige walls and a striped carpet. Curtains cover a window or balcony door.

I love this hotel. Quiet and spacious rooms. Good value! Starbucks in the lobby. Cocktail lounge and place to get quick meal. Big lobby for chats. Even has a gift shop! Old school. I asked who Clyde is or was. Staff was very enthusiastic about their hotel and explained Clyde Tingley was a big contributor to Albuquerque's growth back in the day. Established schools, airports, infrastructure. This hotel opened in April and was previously the Hyatt. It feels much different and I suspect earlier reviews they were getting kinks out.

My youngest wanted to stay at a fancy hotel during our road trip to the Grand Canyon and Legoland in Carlsbad. While driving back from our trip we decided to stop in Albuquerque to have a little breakup in driving, and so my son could experience some "luxury." We were planning to stay at Hotel Andaluz, but didn't book in time so, a third party suggested The Clyde. Upon entrance everyone was super friendly, and everything looked clean and nice. Our room was located on the 12th floor. Unfortunately, Albuquerque in downtown is not that impressive so no good skyline or great views from our floor. The water pressure was good, and the shower felt nice. However, the water did not drain well in the sink or bath tub. That kind of grossed me out. The toilet also was very slow at flushing, also gross. The king size bed was amazing. Probably the best sleep we've all gotten on our trip, and no bed bugs hehe. This is one of the reasons I can't completely give a negative review. Also, I'm just giving constructive criticism so, this hotel can do better in the future especially with their pricing. When we checked out the hotel charged us an extra $140 something instead of the third party. We had to address this to the front desk, and then again when we eventually got home since the charge did not clear, but wanted to make sure they really took it off. They also charge you a $25.00 amenities fee for the pool and fitness rooms. The pool was closed during our visit, and we didn't use any of the amenities yet, still got charged which was in my opinion not fair. We already paid $250ish for our room, and they charge you right away upon booking unlike some other hotels. The Clyde has a restaurant and bar downstairs in the lobby. We decided to try it since it was 5:30PM, and we were all tired. I had their Southwest salad with chicken, my guy had the short rib sandwich with au jus, and my little one had a burger with fries. The salad was not fresh. They gave me the ends/stalks of the romaine lettuce, and it was bruised or red in the white center. The 6 tiny avocado pieces I found were rancid with black spots all over it, and the tomatoes just weren't fresh, nothing was. The cilantro ranch dressing was delicious though. My guy didn't care for his sandwich, but my little one enjoyed his meal. Pricing was high for what it was. I believe it was like 70-80 after tip and tax. Overall, the staff are extremely friendly and I don't feel like they did anything wrong, but the hotel and restaurant definitely need to do better in the quality and extra fees when there wasn't even everything available. We won't be staying here again, but I hope they improve for other guests sake.

Broken fridge outside of our room for most of the stay!

I stopped in to Free Range for an event that was happening there. While I was there, I asked to have a tour of the space. They were surprised, but very accommodating. I was surprised at how large a space it is and how many different options to work, collaborate and hold meetings of different sizes are available. Private office spaces. Conference rooms and large meeting rooms. Bright and airy spaces. Not cramped / swished together spaces that I have seen in some co-working spaces. If you are looking for an every-now-and-then space, or a more permanent "office" space, check out Free Range. Ask for a tour. They have plenty of parking . . . .and even a 2nd location in Nob Hill, if this location just west of the University doesn't work for you. Why did I only give them four stars? Well, because I haven't actually worked there . . .yet. But, when and if I need a co-working space, this will definitely be my go-to option.

Nothing too fancy but the quiches were tasty. The rooftop views- spectacular. This was a selling point in my search. I enjoyed it but I won't include the restaurant as part of my review. Seems this Sensational eatery used to be a bus but lost it's wheels and is now permanently parked in the #2 spot just off Central Ave on the sunny El Vado open air patio/plaza. Bein' a fool for a Cubano sandwich, I succumbed to the moral obligation to order these friendly folks' Spicy Cubano version with parmesan & truffle chips on the side. When I got home & opened the to-go box I was duly impressed at the generous size of the sandwich. The handful of homemade lookin' chips was adequate at filling its corner of the container. From the first bite, the spicy aspect was not inside the sandwich. While well flavored, the Scoville scale on that sammie was on the low end of heat, particularly for the Burqueño crowd. However, the large'ish pepperoncini spiked to the top of the sandwich was the nuclear blast bringin' a little scorched earth policy to the party. We're talking nasal clearing, eye watering, tongue shrivelling, throat chokin' thermal overload. It was so good!! The flat bread on the sammie was chewy & sturdy enough to corral the layers of beef, ham, cheese, and pickles without degradation or deteriorating. The red chile mayo was super sparse, to the point of almost non-existent, and left me wanting for more to jack up the heat a bit. The beef was okay to good, being subtly spiced which let the umami taste shine through. Ham was of the water added variety so offered decent texture & moistness to the filling. But the smoke note in the mix was a soft one, not intense with the acrid attack often found in dry cure hams. Pickles were okay to good. Cheese was likewise okay to good, though not as spicy as I would hope for from a pepper jack cheese. The parmesan & truffle fries were of the sturdy sort. The good news being that they were surprisingly non-greasy in spite of being mottled in a pinto pony pattern of oil saturated patches across their surfaces. My fingers remained delightfully free of napkin dabbing while devouring the chips. The bad news being that they tasted like pretty much standard home made potato chips found everywhere. I didn't pick up the parmesan funkiness or pungency on them at all. So the chips were sort of a 3 star affair & just okay being crunchy, fried, salty enough without overdoing it, and not greasy. With the Cubano & chips being about a 3.5 star situation, it's the friendly cashier lady & cook who make Street Food Sensations a solid 4 star affair. I found them to be friendly and welcoming and fun. So kudos to the staff for being a bright addition to the sunny atmosphere of the El Vado eating scene.

The problem isn't with the building itself but the woman you have to work with to rent the building. My fiance and I wanted to have our wedding there and were quite excited about it. She refused to work with us on any meeting time and complained that her personal life was too busy for us to meet with her despite the fact that before we put the deposit down she said meeting with us anytime was fine. She was very rude and we ended up asking if we could instead meet with the manager and then she reluctantly made a time work. Meeting with her was not like it was the times before and she was extremely rude. I walked in with a smile even though I was slightly frustrated and said hello to her and she just looked at me, rolled her eyes, then continued texting on her phone. She didn't introduce herself to the people we brought with us and continued to be extremely rude and unfriendly the entire time we were there. She promised to let us know about prices and give us her boss's phone number the next day and two weeks passed and she never did either of those things. She was extremely difficult to get a hold of. After that experience we decided that our wedding was meant to be exciting and having someone so rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional to work with so we canceled. Unlike other places, when we called to cancel she said "great!" and acted extremely happy that we decided not to use the facility. My fiance and I are not unreasonable, we did ask questions to bargain prices but that's something that we learned was standard after a while. I suggest Wool Warehouse hire someone that isn't so rude, they will continue to lose business as they already lost us and three couples that were going to use the facility plus anyone else that I tell about the experience. I've also mentioned this experience with several vendors and they agreed that when dealing with Wool Warehouse, this same person was extremely difficult to work with and very rude. This is no way to run a business and if the boss is unaware of her behavior I just hope the news gets around to him. It's a beautiful place and there's no reason it shouldn't be utilized because of one person.
