Don't miss the opportunity to eat here. Unlike many of the other private clubs in London, the food at the Ivy Club is actually quite good. (I had the roast cod because it was recommended to me -- and though I am not a huge fan of cod, which tends to get rubbery if overcooked, this cod was really lovely and melty -- crispy crunchy on top and dissolve-y on the inside -- perfect). The service is excellent, the host and waiters know the wines very well, and there's no sense of phony poser-ish behavior so common in similar establishments. Very relaxed, civilized dining.
