My photo shows room 15 as we found it in February 2011. The food is delicious, a perfect home-cooked breakfast with an excellent choice and all the trimmings. Substantial evening meals are served at the well-stocked bar, should you decide not to go out to the one of the many nearby restaurants. There is a swimming pool in the peaceful gardens; look out for the red squirrels in the garden as you eat your breakfast! The hosts, Lynda and Des, hail from the Isle of Wight and provide you with a wealth of local knowledge.

Its a great location with nearby restaurants and pubs. We ate food in the Steamer Inn which is pretty much next door and also went to the Fisherman's Cottage which is a 5 minute walk. Helen and Dave are excellent hosts. Super nice and friendly. Everyone who works for them were - that includes Lynn. Breakfast was really good with all the usual options. Fruit, granula, raisins, toast etc. And then the "main" breakfast with options including bacon, sausages, eggs, grilled tomatoes, black pudding. We were fortunate with the weather so was able to eat breakfast outside with the view of the beach/sea. Also, they have an adorable dog called Bert.

There were short and curly on the bathroom floor. The coffee cups had stains. The carpets in all the hallways were dirty and had fibres coming out of it. The lift does not work properly and takes a hot min to arrive. The car park is full of animal droppings and has a dodgy alleyway to walk through. Overall very shabby. Avoid at all cost. Money wasted. Negative 10 Stars.
