We have had The Cleaning Authority come every 2 weeks for several years to clean our home. They always come during a 2 hour window that is agreed on in advance. We have never had problems when we had to reschedule due to travel or medical appointments. Our regular team consists of 2 cleaners: Team #3 with Valerie and Yvonne. They mop the floors, vacuum the carpets, clean the toilets, and clean the kitchen, shower and bathrooms. They do not do windows. They make the bed, and our home is good for another two weeks. We are very happy with their service. read more

This company talks a good game. They tell you how wonderful everything is and will do a great job. We had two people for 2-2.5 hours. Around $250-275. They didn't sweep the floors and just used a mop. There was still dirt in the corners. They also did not wipe the cabinets, we have white cabinets and there were smudges and stains that they didn't touch. My wife called and complained and the supervisor she spoke to just made excuses for all of the things that she pointed out. We would not recommend this company and will never use them again. read more

AWFUL AWFUL business, I highly urge you to stay away from these people even if your home/office never gets cleaned again! Hired them in May 2023 with residential cleaning every 2 weeks. Out of 4 times twice they had to send a different crew to re-clean, however last time after 2 cleanings, dirty spots are still all over the floor. Refusing refund, and unable to complete the job as they're supposed to. If you don't want to be scammed from your hard earned money, never deal with this company. Lazy, careless and egregious people. read more

The Cleaning Authority - After cleaning TWICE by CLEANING AUTHORITY Dirty spots in master bedroom closet. Unreal. - Home Cleaning Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I've been with these folks for nine years - and I can't even imagine where these low reviews come from. Nothing but fantastic service for all these years. read more

Team 15 from the cleaning authority is great. On time, thorough and very cordial. They work hard to leave our house spotless every time. Five stars for sure read more

To their credit, they have me a $90 refund. I just wanted to end this nightmare of a move. I was hoping at least 40% refund. The offer for them to return to reclean was denied because I, the customer, di not have access to the property to accept the offer. Also, TCA said they would replace the blinds, but that is not the policy of the rental agency. The rental agency will take the money out of our deposit and they replace the blinds. So, as great as the offer is, we still end up paying for the blinds. read more

Had the initial "deep" clean performed which is costly. Some things were missed, which after speaking to the company I can handle and have it taken care of in my first "regular" clean. That first regular clean was NOT what it should have been. Again, spoke to the company and decided to give them another chance with a tad bit of money coming off my next clean. Second clean....things were still missed and like the hubby said, you'd think they would've gotten it completely right this time around. I did let the company know again, but this cleaning company is definitely not the one for me. I see the other reviews weren't good and I should've looked at this beforehand. Time to look for another company! read more

The team was great and friendly. Initial clean was almost $400. Came home to find a nice smelling home, but there were crumbs, hair, dust. I had to dust the blinds myself after They left. Major disappointment. read more

Floor was moped and look good, because it was wet when we left. Next day, when the floor was dry, it looked like all they did was mop the dirt around. The blinds were partially dusted/cleaned, ceiling fans were not dusted, except on the edges. All in all, a terrible job. read more

We have used this service for over a year and a half now. Initially, they gave excellent service and value for the money. They come on bi-weekly basis, and leave a checklist of what they have accomplished. Unlike other reviews here I have never ever experienced a theft. Unlike one review where they didn't put have they ever put nor have they ever moved anything to dust underneath it. In fact, we have a glass fronted hutch which holds knickknacks. This week the knickknacks were supposed to be dusted. They may have been, but the shelves underneath them were not. With that came a negative impact on the excellence of the service. When they first came here they would send an inspector out afterwards to make sure we were satisfied. After the first two or three months I no longer did that as I am assuming they thought it would not be required. In the intervening months we have noticed a large turn around in the teams. We have had some excellent teams, and on the other hand we have also have some very bad ones, I am sure the turnover is the primary reason behind the degradation in service. I am sorry for this negative review because, for the most part, I was satisfied for their service, but of late last several times, we were sorely disappointed. read more

This will be my 3rd month with The Cleaning Authority. So far they have been outstanding. The first cleaning is a deep clean. It cost me almost $200. The crew that came had a trainer and a new person. The new person was lazy and spent most of his time outside. I called the office and they were most helpful. I emailed them some pictures of what was missed. They sent a team the next day to re-do the deep clean. This was team #11. They did a fantastic job! I was allowed to request that team #11 always cleaning my house. I very much like that. I love the rotation cleaning schedule they do. Keeps the house nice and clean. I had another cleaning company but let them go because they were not thorough. No dusting of knick-knacks, no moving sofas to vacuum underneath, no cleaning of blinds or window sills, no windows, and occasional cleaning of ceiling fans, etc. The Cleaning Authority does all of that and more. In addition they use green products so it's safe for humans and pets. They even had a supervisor come out to check on the work and check if I was satisfied. I highly recommend you try them. If you're not satisfied they will make it right. If you find a team you like, request that you keep them as your cleaners. The poor ratings this company had was from long ago. You should ignore them. If they were that bad back then, they've definitely cleaned up their act (No pun intended). So far everyone I've dealt with have been friendly, courteous, and professional (except first guy from deep cleaning). read more

We hired the Cleaning Authority and have been very disappointed with two different crews that have been in our home in the past few months. We have had two thefts from two different cleaning teams. The two of us are the only ones ever in our home so we know the theft occurred when a Cleaning Authority Team was in our home. In addition, our home has never been cleaned properly. A list is always left with us that explains what they have cleaned in our home. We will check the list against the cleanliness of our home and discover that it has not been cleaned as indicated. Showers, floors and toilets have not been cleaned every time they are in our home and the stainless steel appliances are always left uncleaned or with serious streaks. When we contact management with concerns, we are left with excuses and denial. The last time we complained about our toilets, hood range and refrigerator door not being cleaned, a staff member came to our home and spent 45 minutes. Leaning what was missed. Today, after experiencing two more thefts we have terminated the cleaning service. We will never recommend them. read more

Just DON'T! Worst! Claimed our water was turned off because they couldn't operate the tap, snuck out when job was half finished, did NONE of the $200+ add ons and charged fro them anyway! This is going to be a long fight. DO NOT use this company. read more

I hired the Cleaning Authority to do a deep cleaning of an empty house to prepare it to go on the market. I wrote down that I wanted all the cupboards wiped as well as a thorough deep cleaning. Not only were the cupboards not touched, but neither were the floors in the bathrooms and the sinks were not cleaned. I do not recommend these people to clean anything but a litter box! read more

Raised price of cleaning my house from $130.00 to $188.50. ($190.00 for 2 full hours) Along with the rate change the service changed. They did not dust/Swiffer under beds in the guests rooms and only dusted around the edges under the master bed. Dirty footprints and small leaves from outside were found under the kitchen rug in front of the kitchen sink. Some of the counter tops were missed in the kitchen. Baseboards skipped.....ARG! Mirrors had streaks.... I could go on but I need to stop for my well-being. I won't have them back. Too many choices. read more

I used the Cleaning Authority for several months, then gave up on them due to some disturbing things. First, you never know who is going to be coming to clean your house, so you can't establish any kind of relationship with them. If they are coming in when you are at work, that kind of anonymity--strangers in your home--feels uncomfortable. More disturbing was an event when I noticed that one of the cleaners had several boils on his arm, one quite large. When I asked the person about it, they replied that they'd been in the hospital for some time being treated for a serious systemic Staphylococcus infection. When I pushed a little, they said they had an infection of MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). MRSA infections can be spread by simple skin-to-skin contact, as well as from inanimate things carrying the bacteria. The infection can cause sepsis and be fatal. When I talked with the company owner/manager about this, she became very defensive and belligerent, insisting that it was not MRSA and that the employee was not infective. I found her response inappropriate, I did not trust her, and it left me with an overall feeling that she does not do her due-diligence with her employees. read more

This service scratched fixtures in our home and has failed to make good on the damage. We have no choice, but to pursue legal recourse. We were clients for the better part of a year. Late fall, we noticed some deep scratches on the porcelain sink and tub and chrome fixtures. Seems that an overzealous cleaner used an abrasive grit wet/dry sandpaper to remove the hard-water build-up. Long story short, we contacted the company. A manager came, took photos, told us she would investigate, plus determine how to correct the problem. She called us a few weeks later and said she interviewed the cleaners, and none said they were responsible. Of course, no one would admit to damaging property!! Duh. This was before Christmas, and we have not heard a peep from the company despite repeated calls to them. Mistakes happen, we understand that. However, to not follow up and not fix the problem they caused is truly unprofessional and unacceptable. Not once did the owner call and intercede. This is a poorly run service and we do not recommend them whatsoever. read more

I was very hopeful using this service but unfortunately the cleaning was just average. The 2 ladies didn't really work well as a team and one of them that dusted was very harsh with duster. The real disappointment was that they didn't do a follow up inspection as they communicated prior to the cleaning and never followed up in any way to make sure I was satisfied. That's just bad customer service and bad business. I'll use another cleaning service next time. They lost a potential long-term customer. read more

Terrible. Do not subject yourself to this experience. I'm cleaning my house now after the "deep clean " team was here. Sure wish I had read the other reviews first. read more

Unlike some of the other reviews here, we have had great service from The Cleaning Authority. They have been cleaning my home for close to 5 years, and in that time, we've had very few issues. Any that did arise were handled quickly and professionally. One time a jar was broken, and they left a note for me with the lid so I knew what it was, and thoroughly cleaned up the broken glass. I do wish they would wipe down walls and windows in the rotation areas, but they don't do that. My reason for not giving 5 stars is more pet peeve than anything...when they move stuff to clean, they never put it back the same and I find I have to reorganize everything. If I happen to leave something in the sink, they will remove it to clean the sink, but then just leave it wherever they put it rather than putting it back in the sink. At least I know they've moved stuff to clean, though, rather than just cleaning around it! I have been there a few times that they clean and they are very efficient and move fast. They don't sit around chatting, they get right to work and get the job done. I feel like my two-person team cleans my 3200 square foot house pretty darn well in the two hours they have. read more

Hired the Cleaning Authority for a move out cleaning. We paid $625 and ended up having to clean the entire house over again ourselves and hire another company to re-clean the floors. All of the blinds were only dusted on one side. The windows were not touched at all. The tiles floors were left extremely sticky. Our invoice stated that "extra attention was given to the stove". Only one of the stove racks were cleaned. The second rack and the bottom of the stove was not even cleaned. Our invoice all stated "all nicknacks were clean and dusted". Again this was a move out cleaning so the home was completely empty and did not contain and "nicknacks". The shower glass doors were left with just cleaner dried on them and not wipped down. If you want to waste over $600 and then have to re-clean the entire house yourself after, this is the place for you! The company is horrible. We spoke to the manager who reports "you get what you get and what they can get too". Run away from this company and dont even think about using them. read more

Unlike the other 2 reviewers, I had a great experience with the Cleaning Authority. I hired them to do a deep-clean of my 2-bed, 1-bath apartment; two girls came in and were done in a little over an hour, which doesn't sound like a lot of time, but my apartment was spotless when they left- and they charged half what every other cleaning company in the area would have charged! I had them come back a few days later to clean up after a party (the place was trashed) and again, after just an hour, it was like the party had never happened! Overall, great results for relatively little money. read more

I seem to be having an issue with the scheduling of a time for my team to arrive. Each time they tell me it ends up being different. I can do almost any day but I need to be first thing in the morning. If for some unforeseen reason the team is delayed could I be given a phone call letting me know? I have today, experience that my home is now the pushed back on the schedule to be cleaned which leaves me little time to have them complete their job in a detailed way and be gone before I need to leave. If I had known before hand that I was going to be later on the schedule I would have adjusted my plans. Now they are more than 4 hours late. Changing from an ~8:30 -10:30 to a ~10:30 -12:30 arrival time is a big difference. I am not sure how we can resolve this issue? Your teams have been very good at their jobs but I know they need more than an hour to clean my home. Notice of this estimated time of arrival, the day before, and if they are running late, the day of would help. The local Manager Debbie, after asking more than 3 times to give me a call now informs me, via EMAIL that I am on a waiting list for mornings and she will discuss this further next week. Today is Thursday. read more

We are extremely pleased with The Cleaning Authority. We have had a few different teams come and they have all done an excellent job. I like that they rotate areas of focus so things like baseboards, which other cleaners ignore entirely, are always taken care of regularly. They also sweep and clean our patio for a small additional charge - well worth the hours of valuable weekend time it would take me to do it! One time we had them skip the patio cleaning, but I was charged anyway, and I was worried based on the other reviews I've read, but with one simple phone call I received a credit and all was right. Exactly as it should be in every way! read more

Things you should know: 1. They have green-certified cleaning products which is a good thing for the environment. 2. Their cleaning products will not leave your house with a fresh, just cleaned smell. 3. Their cleaning products will not remove any form of mildew you may have present. In fact it will continue to build up unless you clean it yourself as they seem to be adverse to employing good ole elbow grease to compensate. 4. Their cleaning products will not remove hard water stains. (refer to #3 above) 5. The "scrub the grout" days means that they will gently wipe down the surface just as they do on other days. 6. They allow 2 hours for 2 people to thoroughly clean a 3bed/2bath 1,600 sq ft home. I've never had my home "cleaned" in so little time. 7. They work a 4-part rotation on a house which means that any particular area is only detail cleaned once every two months. 8. They fall on the lower end of the price range for cleaning companies in town. I have learned that you get what you pay for. As for me and my house, we prefer to be cleaner, and I got tired of cleaning my house after paying someone to clean it. read more

I used this company for approximately 6 months. Each time the crew arrived late. The last straw was when two employees started arguing inside my house! Then they took the argument outside! I hired The Cleaning Authority to clean an apartment after moving out. The entire area to clean was about 500 SF. They reportedly sent a 3-person crew who spent 2 hours at the apartment. Not only did they fail to render all of the cleaning services that they indicated would be included but the cleaning that was done was subpar at best. I contacted the supervisor who ultimately offered a full refund. This never happened and now state the a refund was not offered. Despite sending them pictures demonstrating the poor job, The Cleaning Authority is still unwilling to refund my money in full. I have read other reviews since this has happened. This company sent people to my 92 year old mother's home and didn't do the job they were contracted to do (1.5 hours/3 cleaners but left in under an hour after standing around and not having cleaned hardly anything) and then sat in a blind spot in our driveway for almost an hour to run the bill up. When I complained about this to the local franchise, they not only didn't refund my money but were very rude. I contacted the National Office who promised to get back to me but they never did. So much for their "guarantee." I will include the correspondence that I sent the Nat'l office: Hello. I have been a customer with the local franchise here in Tucson, Arizona for awhile now and recently had an experience that I'd like to report. I had my home cleaned (by Team 1) on December 14th. The 3 person team was supposed to be at my home for a total of 1.5 hours. They were, however, only there for a little under an hour, and then sat in their car in our driveway in a "blind spot" behind our car port for 45 minutes before leaving. The cleaning job that they did was incomplete at best and they were observed just standing around when they didn't realize someone was watching them. Today I contacted Julie from the local office who informed me that my credit card had been billed for $150, the usual charge for a 3 person team for 1.5 hours. When I explained what had happened, Julie said she would "talk" to the team responsible and apologized. When I asked for a partial refund for what had transpired, she flatly refused. I told her that I was charged for services that had not been rendered but she very rudely stated that she wouldn't refund any of the funds charged. When I stated that I may have to take my business elsewhere if I was going to be charged for services that I didn't receive, she again stated that she would not refund any of the funds charged. Is this how your company does business? I can't imagine that a successful company that has been around as long as yours wouldn't be interested in customer service and in retaining clients. I really feel like this local franchise is only interested in taking my money and running. I have been a loyal customer of The Cleaning Authority for some time and now I feel insulted, ripped off, and angry with the way I was charged and treated by Julie as well as the cleaning staff who didn't do the job they were contracted to do and then hid behind my house to run up the bill. How is any of this "customer service?" I found this on the "About" section on your Facebook page: "Satisfaction Guarantee Your satisfaction is important to us and we guarantee that you will be satisfied with the quality of our home cleaning services." This is all well and good, but when issues such as not cleaning areas contracted to clean and running up the bill by hiding on our property are not only not addressed by a rude local franchise, but also the billing not rectified, then that guarantee is worthless. Please contact me to address these issues and how you might be able to correct this situation. I wish you and yours a very happy holiday season. Be well. . ... This cleaning company. Is awful.. I have no clue why I stuck with them for almost a year getting my house cleaned every week for the last few months.. They never sent the same people so I always had to show them exactly what to do and then 50% of the time they did it wrong I had to go back and check it and have them correct it and then today they use the big vacuum cleaner that they vacuum the floors with to vacuum my dog beds instead of the' brush.. I would never recommend this company.. I would rather clean my house myself then use them any longer.. Their service absolutely sucks!! read more

I have been using these guys for two years in our 1900 sq ft, 4br, 3ba home. They almost always do a great job. The only negative is that they are supposed to assign a team to do it every time, but it seems to change EACH visit. But they keep copious notes at the office, so I usually don't have to go through too many things with each new team. They are ALWAYS on time and do a thorough job. We have a hassle of cats that live on all hardwood and they pay attention to get into all the nooks where the hair collects. Sometimes there's two and sometimes there are three people who come. It may take 1.5 hours and it may take 3. I don't really care. They do it for the same fee each time, they do a wonderful job, they bring their own equipment, nothing has ever been broken and only one time in over 60 visits has the door ever been left unlocked. A cat has never escaped. They have even moved my scheduled day a couple of times to accommodate a visitor or event where I wanted them to come just prior. I would highly recommend them to anyone with reasonable expectations. I found the customer service extremely responsive, as well. read more

Should be a negative star rating you could give.. the service we received or lack of service we received more like it left a very bad taste in our mouths... Debbie Martinez came out and did a walk thru with my husband never said anything about a policy of rooms with closed doors, matter of fact my husband explained we keep bedroom doors closed so our dogs don't go in them.. we wanted our house cleaned before guests arrived for holiday... came home the day they were supposed to be here and first of all didn't smell "cleaned".. nothing was dusted but some items were moved around to appear they did something.. floors were not cleaned and only one bathroom was wiped down but shower wasn't attended too.. the other bathroom was in master room which door was closed and nothing was done... called and left messages that we were dissatisfied and expected money back.. Debbie called back and said if the doors were closed they wouldn't go in.. this was never discussed previously, she never addressed the rest of the house and lack of cleaning, basically only thing cleaned was stove top and microwave wiped down, we paid 145.00 .. she asked for pictures, we sent them to her.. never heard back from her, then Shannon called the following day and said they could offer a re-do free or 25.00 off next cleaning.. seriously?? We asked for just our money back.. she said only the owner could do that.. following day got a call from Jerry who very rudely told my husband we would get half money back and hung up on him without hearing our answer... Horrible customer service.. I wouldn't let them clean my dogs house and would recommend you take your business elsewhere! read more

Never again! I really wanted to like The Cleaning Authority. The price seemed reasonable, and, at first, the cleaners were mostly on task and friendly. Over time, though, the team members kept changing and the quality of the work slowly went down. I started noticing that their rotation of tasks weren't really a rotation (as another reviewer stated). The special care for nick-knacks never happened. The crew would leave and I could wipe dust off them the minute they left. But, the thing that really chased me away was the BROKEN SINK! That's right. One of the cleaners broke my bathroom sink! I was in another room at the time and heard the crash. I waited, but no one came, and I just thought that the cleaner dropped cleaning supplies. About ten minutes later, there was a knock on my door. A distraught cleaner apologized and motioned toward the bathroom. When I saw the broken sink, I couldn't believe my eyes. The bowl was cracked! The area had been cleaned up, so I couldn't tell how it had happened. The crew left and I called management. At first, I was told that no one could come by to see the damage until the following week. I urged the supervisor to come over ASAP. There was some foot-dragging, but the supervisor did come before 5pm. She looked at the sink and said that this had happened with another customer, a judge, whose sink was already broken before the crew had got there, but the company had replaced it anyway. The implication was unpleasant. The following Monday, I got a phone call from a different representative. She told me that the company would buy a replacement sink, but that I would have to pay $75 because their insurance company had depreciated my sink. Their cost would only be $65. My husband called and talked to the rep, saying, "Let me get this straight, I pay you money to clean my home AND you want me to pay for what The Cleaning Authority breaks?!" I again stated that they were responsible for the breakage and they should incur the full price of replacement. Finally, I got a call back and the supervisor said that the company's owner would, out of the kindness of his heart, take the $75 out of his own pocket to make up the difference (I heard tiny violins). I responded, Well, that's what I would do if I'd broken something in YOUR home! Accidents happen, and I felt sorry for the workers who probably got into a lot of trouble. The other reviewers complaining about damage sound true. I believe if I hadn't been home at the time, I wouldn't have got my sink replaced. read more
