This is the absolute worst cleaning service I've ever used. They brought in 3 people to clean a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom 1000 sq ft apartment and our apartment looked exactly the same when they left as it did before they even started the "deep clean" I prepaid $300 to have done. I'm so mad at myself that I paid that amount of money because they used "eco friendly" "clean" "green" products. One of their bottles had "windex" written on it and I asked the cleaner if it was actually windex and she replied yes. I asked her why they would use toxic products and she just shrugged. They drug mold from my master bathroom shower into the bathroom floor with their mop and into the guest bathroom and just left it there until I told them they had to clean that mold off the floor before they left. Please do yourself a favor and don't book this company. I deserve a full refund but was only offered for them to come back when they are clearly not capable of deep cleaning such a small space. They were horrible, showed up late. Only cleaned 2 bathrooms that were already clean. Didn't do anything we asked for and vacuumed carpet that had been professionally cleaned the day before. They had the nerve to ask for me to pay for them to be there longer than the two hours it already took them to re clean my cleaned bathrooms. Thus causing me to not be able to list my house until I get a real professional service out here. Absolutely terrible customer service. Was suppose to have an estimate I made sure I was home at specific time and no show!!! They had my email my address, but because I was one number off of my phone number she just decided not to come didn't email me OR didn't come by. I mean my mistake for putting ONE wrong digit. Said she was already back at the office. HOW?! Pretty fast driver ! First impressions are everything and they missed the mark on this. We were hopeful and waited for customer service. Their first deep clean was ok but did not hit dry places. The second service was cancelled due to holiday which was fine. However, call and email no rescheduling. Second service finally came around...the cleaners asked what they were to cover. still dust on dry areas. We were really excited to finally get our house cleaning schedule back on track and decided to try them out. The initial assessment and all were very thorough and we were looking forward to the first initial clean. Typically, they split the initial clean into two visits, but for an increased price they said they could do it in one. We opted for the one time initial clean. Big mistake, the cleaners were there for only about 4-hours and just performed a cursory cleaning...it was better but NOT a deep clean at all. We decided to let it go and give it another session, just in case the next one was to finish the first one. NOPE...the second time, they were only at the house for a couple of hours and then gone. We could have done just as good of a job, if not better. At any rate, we will opt for a personal cleaner the next time around, versus a company that does not perform as advertised. The owner, Tom, came to our house and did a personal evaluation for our unique situation. We have a sanctuary for special needs guinea pigs and also have Grandma who's 80 living with us. He gave us a thorough understanding of what to expect with an easy to read guide. Tracy and Danielle (Team 10) are excellent ladies, very personable, and are good at what they do. Kathey came the first time with Tracy (deep clean) and wow, what a great job! Danielle came with Tracy 2nd deep clean day and it was another awesome job! Don't bother....I received their flyer I'm my mailbox and decided to reach out for pricing. After the in home inspection, I was very excited about the pricing and excited to get my much needed house cleaned by someone other than me. it Was explained to me their rotation system and that the initial visit would be more because they needed to do a thorough all over cleaning...then the rotation would begin. I came home to such a disappointment....way too much to list. Needless to say, I will never use them again and I would discourage anyone thinking about using them. read more

I had my first cleaning with Cleaning Authority and I was very disappointed. I had just had a big remodeling project completed and needed some extra attention given in three rooms. After they left, I had to re-clean all three of the rooms and re-vacuum the staircase. They seemed to be more concerned with working fast than attending to details. They arrived at 11:20 and left at 12:50 so they didn't work the entire two hours. read more

It has been months now I keep filling out the online request for quo & calling this company to get a scheduled cleaning. As one other person mentioned in another review, you are told a message will be sent to the office manage. That is the last you would hear from them. I am still waiting for a return call. I used the company back in 2019 and they were not bad service for the most. But Its been since December 2020 to March (today) & they have not returned my called or email or any sort of communication! We have been a customer of the cleaning authority of humble for years. We haven't had any issues with the exception of subpar cleaning at some points (really most of the time) of the service. Today, they left a letter demanding we turn our AC down to 72 before leaving for work or an hour before the team arrives. If gone at a normal job during a normal day, it would run all day at that temp. These teams are not consistent in the time they arrive. I contacted the manager, Rachel and told her my concerns. I told her that the AC would be a consistent 75 degrees but because of the summer electricity bills AND the ERCOT suggestion at 78, we would not be setting our AC to 72 degrees. She told me that the team would set the thermostat back when they have completed; I was never allowed to touch the thermostat as a kid, let alone as a stranger/ employee in someone's home. I spoke to her calmly, thinking that this was just a suggestion and could understand those outliers who keep their homes at 85 degrees. She regurgitated a very ugly response and told me it would be best that we change services. These services are a dime a dozen; while it does take some research to find one at a decent price with good reviews, I had completed my search before hanging up with Rachel. I'm not sure what sort of power trip (see what I did there?) this company is on but unless you're offering to pay my electricity bill or half off your prices, I will not be setting my thermostat at your suggestion based on how 'comfortable' you think your employees need to be. read more

On December 17, 2014 my house was cleaned by Sandra and Elizabeth at approximately 1130 am. I was at work and often allowed the Cleaning Authority to clean my home when I wasn't there. I work an excess of 50 hours a week and don't often get home until after 6pm. Anyway, this day I got home at 630 noticed this team wasn't nearly as effective as other teams they have (trash left in two rooms, tables not dusted, etc) but let it go b/c I was too tired to worry with it. At 830 I went to my bedroom to gather a pair of Fossil earrings I had JUST bought on 12/12/14. THEY WERE GONE. I know exactly where I had left them and I searched and literally tore up my bedroom to find them. I NEVER FOUND THEM. So...I called the number for the Cleaning Authority. I was told that at 9pm, I am not able to talk to the owner b/c it is too late and he will call me ASAP the next day. I asked what time that would be and I was told I'd be called by 8am. The next day, no call at 8...no call at 830...no call at 9...I finally called them 2x (858am and 1035am) and had to leave messages. I finally got a call at 1111 am and was told that he'd have to research it. I gave him the exact website and description and how much I paid for them and that I just wanted them back. He said he'd look into it. Ok. Fine. I got a call back a few hours later and was told that Sandra had cleaned my bedroom and SHOCK she doesn't remember seeing the earrings and that they are SURE that I had just misplaced them and would find them soon. He told me that she had worked for him for a year and WOULD NEVER DO ANYTHING LIKE THIS and he's positive I had misplaced them. I advised him AGAIN that I had looked literally EVERYWHERE and the earrings were gone. I did not lay blame on anyone but did insinuate they had been stolen. He asked if I wanted them replaced or a credit to my bill. I said I wanted them replaced. He asked if I had filed a police report. No, at the time I did not want to accuse anyone, I just wanted my earrings back. He said he'd replace them. That was on 12/18/14. It is now 1/8/15 and he has not upheld his agreement. I had to REPURCHASE the earrings that were STOLEN BY HIS EMPLOYEE. In a few words...DO NOT HIRE. read more

I used the Cleaning Authority for 7 months. They broke the fasteners on three slats of my plantation shutters, the glass on two pictures that were hanging on the wall and left a wide 3 inch long scratch on my kitchen table that took off the finish all the way down to the wood. Several times I had to call because they hadn't done everything on the list they leave each time that detailed what was supposed to have been done. Two people were attempting to clean a 2500 sq ft house in an hour to an hour and 15 minutes, so I suppose it wasn't surprising they were rushed and would sometimes get a bit careless. You'll never reach these folks directly when you try to call. It will always go to their answering service. They will call you back when it's convenient for them (sometimes days later) and leave the number of their answering service For you to call back. You will go back and forth many times before you can actually speak to someone. To date they have not paid for any of the items that were damaged. I spent almost as much time chasing after them to talk about these things and arranging for repairs than it would have taken to just clean my own house. You might think I just ended up with just one bad team of cleaners, but they didn't send the same people twice in a row. There were several teams that would rotate. All of them cleaned the same way and many damaged items which led me to believe it is a management issue with this branch. No one knew how to clean the dish under the soap or wipe down under shampoo bottles or clean the mold out of the corners of a one piece shower pan (no grout or caulking). After a couple of months I noticed mold growing under the rims in the toilets. They said there was nothing they could do about that. They had a "quality control" person, but she didn't appear to be effective working with the cleaning teams. As a last ditch effort I tried to get my cleaning day changed to a day when I could be there. My hope was they would be more careful if I was in the house with them while they were working. They said this wasn't possible. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for house cleaning services. read more

I called the Cleaning Authroity to schedule an appointment for an in home estimate. We need a move out cleaning within the next month and at first I was told to call back closer to time with an exact date, which I already had, but the man I spoke with just seemed to want to get me off of the phone. Once I told him I was ready to schedule I was told a message would be sent to the office and someone would call me back, this was on a friday. I received a call back on Monday, which I think is a reasonable amount of time. I however missed the call because I was in school. So I called back later that day only to be told they would have to send another message. Here we are a couple of days later and still no call back. I would've loved to do business with this company as they had some great reviews, however I can't get ahold of anyone to talk to. I definitely will not purchase from this cleaning service again. The customer service is awful. The cleaning was mediocre. The maids broke a vase while they were inside my home and they left a note apologizing. I tried contacting the owner regarding my broken vase and he still has yet to return my calls or emails. The maids did not sweep nor mop my floors even though they "claim" that is number one on their list of items. The owner also charged my card without my authorization. I was informed that he has done this to several customers. I would suggest using a check for payment if you choose this company for services. He was more concerned with getting his $130.00 than true customer service. I still have not received any compensation for my broken vase. I signed up for a one-time deep clean. I mentioned no phone calls. Lo and behold, "Paul" called me two times in a row the morning of the clean, stating he will not send anyone out to clean my house unless I agreed to multiple/continuous cleanings. Now, the whole point of the deep clean was to see if they are any good--I'm not going to commit to a company that doesn't have very good ratings. Aside from that, he was extremely condescending and rude on his messages (REPEATED messages). I had to block his number to keep him from repeatedly calling me. Avoid like the plague!
