Stopped here today due to poor service at The Inwood Diner. Was immediately greeted when I entered and sat down. Waitress was right there to take my drink order. The meal was amazing. We got the Taylor Farms Apples to start- 11/10 stars. I got the chicken cheesesteak sub, and my husband got the Mac wrap (I forgot the actual name) but we both loved our items. Food and service at this restaurant was exceptional. Everything we got was amazing from the crab dip to the squash soup to the grilled cheese with Gouda and apples. Sounds like a weird combination, but it was incredible mix and the carrot cake was unbelievable. read more

We were shown our table immediately upon entering the establishment. It was nice to be able to walk through the market on your way to the hostess station too. The place was clean and well lite and the booth was comfortable. The menu looked great so we chose the loaded sidewinder fries and two sandwiches. Had we know the fries were going to be served up on a large platter we would have ordered a sandwich to split. The fries were cooked to a nice crispness and flavorful and loaded with deliciously prepared pork bbq, seasoned just right. HUGE APPETIZER PORTION! The BLT came with the usual and the bacon was quite flavorful and the bread was perfectly toasted. The Club was a mile high sandwich loaded with ham, turkey and fresh lettuce and tomato along with pepper Jack cheese - my choice. The fresh prepared potato chips were served up really nice in their own fryer basket with paper, adding to a really nice touch rounding out the meal with a pickle of course. I've wanted to try this spot and my husband raves about it from work luncheons so we finally stopped in and I'm so glad we did! We were promptly seated. Our Server, Cam, so TALL, you can't miss him, immediately greeted us and we were on our way for an amazing experience! The space is open and tastefully decorated. Every member of the Team had such a great attitude! We started with the Fried Pickles and they are so obviously breaded in house and easily addicting! Next my husband and I had the Reuben with House made chips and our son had the Burger! WOW that BURGER! Thick, juicy, perfectly temped! And the Reubens were EXACTLY what we were craving!! For dessert we split an Apple Dumpling and my son had the Apple Pie! Everything was amazing! What a gem found out in the country where the only other places were fast food choices. The parking, big space, kind and efficient service, and food was all perfect. The grilled chicken sandwich I had was surprisingly impressive. It had big thick crispy pieces of bacon w a garlicky aioli that really elevated something so basic. Hubby was craving a cheeseburger so we headed to The Cider Press to get him one. It comes with a side of fries but we decided to share an order of Sidewinder Fries. $15 is expensive but I ended up taking 80% of it home and I'll get at least two more servings from it. If you've got your appetite "on", this is the place you want to go! Their burgers are the best around and their salads are big, fresh and cold. So hot lunch or cold, I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

Came here for lunch with my wife and kiddo today. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Gold Rush Burger with onion rings and my wife got the Smoker Burger with fries. Unfortunately my burger came out with fries and I had to wait for onion rings. When we were trying to decide on what to get my one year old we noticed even Mac and Cheese would be close to 6.00 and that is a little much for a 1 year old. The burgers had a cold bun which I thought was odd but the burger itself was hot and very good. I got my burger medium rare while she got hers medium, they both came out medium rare. All in all it was a good visit with friendly service, the prices are quite high 32.00 for 2 burgers, if the cost doesn't bother you and getting the wrong side is fine I'd recommend you try it and see for yourself. read more

The server Cam was very friendly and quick. He didn't hover or check in to often and let us enjoy the meal. While also letting us know he's there should we need anything. It was quiet as we arrived just before the lunch rush. My husband ordered the Goldrush burger cooked medium rare with onion rings, and I ordered the Smoker burger cooked medium with fries. Went to order our 1 year old something but for a children MacNcheese it was a little over priced at $6.00. My husbands burger came out with fries instead of onions rings. My burger was a little under done more medium rare than medium. I believe the prices are just a tad bit on the high side but over all my experience was pleasant. read more

3.5 stars for the food and 2 stars for the service give it a solid 3. The crappy part was the wings (appetizer) came out after the main course. Noticed the table down from us got plenty of great attentive service and we were ignored. Burger had no seasoning and tasted burnt even though it had no signs of being overcooked. Fries were delicious. Wings were tasty and my favorite part of the meal was the chicken pot pie. The apple dumpling dessert turned out great too. Not sure I will come back though. read more

This is just off the highway, which really made it convenient for our road trip. It was fun and the kids loved checking out their store and all the decorations in the restaurant. The staff were sweet and their bathrooms and restaurants were very clean. We ordered a Blt, cheeseburger, tender kids meals, pretzel app, and their Cuban panini. The Blt was super crispy. It was very difficult to bite into the sandwich because the bacon was so hard. The chips and pickle that came with the meal were amazing! The kettle chips were shared with the whole family. The chicken tender meal had great fries but the tenders were very dry and the kids were not interested in them. We tried their Carmel cider, it was okay, we could not take the caramel. Their apple cider for the kids was delicious! The family also really enjoyed the pretzel app. The beer cheese was a hit. Not spicy at all. The cheese burger and panini were good. We didn't love all their items, but we would still come back and try other items. The ambience and layout of the restaurant and store really made it comfortable for my family to relax. read more

Driving by this cafe I thought it was just a store. (We were on our way to another restaurant/bar we found on Yelp. When we arrived to the other restaurant, despite the OPEN sign, the door was locked.) We checked on Yelp for another place to eat, found this spot and we are glad we did. This location is a store which you walk through to get to the cafe. The store sells an assortment of things like apples, jellies, fresh meat and a lot of baked goods. It was pretty late for lunch when we arrived and our eyes were bigger than our stomachs but everything we ordered was good. We started with fried pickles, they serve spears here rather than the chips. I ordered the Cuban panini and upgraded the chips to onion rings. The onion rings were perfect - when you bite them the onion did not pull out of the batter. The panini was excellent as was the BLT. The bacon on the BLT was very good, thick cut bacon. They also have a good selection of micro brews as well. Nothing to complain about here. read more

The food is always good. The service and kitchen tend to be a tad slow, but it's a small place and the food is not your typical chain restaurant food, so be patient. Having to wait for a table is a sign of good food and it's worth the wait. I'd like to see some expanded dinner options. Beverage and dessert selection is very good. read more

Weary sojourners in a strange land, Yelp led us to this local spot. Initially, it seemed as if this restaurant was having an identity crisis: corner store? country shop? diner? It was hard to tell. But never the type to judge a book by its cover (Unless Herman Melville is the author. Then it's a guaranteed snore fest.), we marched past the pies and candies to the restaurant in the rear. My family eats too much--and this is reflected in our midsection girth--yet they tried to cram us into a booth much too small for comfort. Upon our request, they moved us to a roomier spot. Overall, the service was efficient and above average. Our server had a pleasant demeanor and did a great job keeping our glasses filled, table cleared, etc. The food was solidly average. Perhaps I expected too much given the rave reviews. Perhaps it IS exceptional compared to the other local restaurants. Perhaps we just caught them on an average sort of day. Whatever the reason, we all felt our meals (primarily an assortment of sandwiches and fries) were good but not delicious. The crab cake was okay. Not great, but better than expected. (I tried to warn my kid that ordering a crab cake outside of Maryland was a fool's errand, but she refused to heed my advice.) Big Daddy would have preferred a larger serving of fries. I dislike battered/seasoned fries (I'm old school about my potatos) but I thought the portion was adequate. Should we ever find ourselves in this small town again, we'll likely return. They were good enough that we're willing to believe they have the potential to be better if we order something different. read more

Food wasn't good- we discarded it, upon tasting a bite of each. We only ordered fried food and maybe a non-fried option would be better, as the spot was busy. We were driving 81 north for Christmas with family - so we stopped for Old Bay boneless wings, as this location is very convenient to I-81. The batter was 2X the portion of the chicken... thick and caked on. The Garlic and Parmesan wings the same. We also tried fried pickles - the batter ratio was better here- and fried chips. The chips were soggy and chewy- not crispy. Was very excited for Old Bay wings, nostalgic, but not here. read more
