However, after my last experience here I refuse to come back. They advertise that they close at 7:00pm on Monday nights; but I got there at 6:54pm and the front door was locked. The lights were completely on and I was knocking on the door and couldn't see anyone... literally knocking and knocking-- I know someone heard me. I saw the door was opened to the back room, so that's where they were. This truly ruined my night because I needed a card & balloons for my mothers birthday and it caused me to be LATE to her party because I had to make a U-turn and take the trip up the road to Dollar Tree. I had planned my entire night around stopping at Thriftway on the corner of Amboy rd & Page Ave before going to my mothers house for her birthday party. And since they close at 7:00 I got there right before. This was a huge inconvenience and just for that I won't be back. When you have no respect for your customers, I have no respect for your business. Dollar Tree was a lot cheaper anyway , the card was 50 cents and the mylar balloons were only $1.25 each. Done with Thriftway and their selfish staff members. No other business would have let this happen. Totally done and still mad over this.

Whether it's this mall or Woodbridge, "East Meets West" is a fun store to visit. I generally go here to get incense but they have so much more than that. Their other offerings include various Hamsas you can hang up, crystals, rocks, sage kits, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, dream catchers and more. It doesn't matter if you believe in the various spiritual beliefs represented by this store, some of this stuff is just pretty decor. The store is basically a rectangle with shelves and islands in the middle. The cashier is off to the right in the middle. The cashier I dealt with was super friendly and I saw her helping the customer before me with a great deal of patience. This store used to be on the first floor, but they moved up to the second floor and as part of that move they upgraded the decor a bit. There's a fun neon sign at the entrance and a gigantic dream catcher hangs in one window with other items. Before you even walk in the store front seems to promise a unique store experience in a mall mostly dominated by department stores and clothing shops. I wound up getting some "short" incense that were nicely priced (20 for $5 I believe). I also bought a sticker for $2. "East Meets West" is a classic part of the mall experience and I definitely recommend dropping by!
