We agreed the baby wouldn't know the difference. The towel arrived while we were in KC and I opened it last night when we got home. It is a gorgeous blue, soft and beautifully crafted. I just love it and so will Mommy and Baby, I think. Enclosed was a sweet note w/ another apology for the wait and a coupon for a discount on my next order. We walked in not knowing anything about baby products and walked out knowing exactly what we wanted. We were very upfront with them that we weren't buying that day but rather were looking to figure out what to put on our registry. My husband is 6'5" and I'm also tall so figuring out a baby carrier has been a struggle since we have zero baby stores where we live. They were more than accommodating and helpful in teaching us about the differences and letting us try them on. They went over the strollers and the car seats and the helpful functions with each kind. I wish we could take the staff and store home with us because it would make this whole first time parent thing a MILLION TIMES EASIER! We highly recommend them! I have a lot opinions on that sentiment, but what I will say is that I didn't think they were "in your face." There was a healthy selection of books reflecting all lived experiences in our society, including immigrants, neurodiverse people, BIPOC, and yes, LGBTQ. I'm glad my daughter will grow up with exposure and respect for everyone. And, for what it's worth, there were also lots of "normal" books about Disney princesses and cars and animals too.
