Ruth showed my husband and I all the attachments and how the devices worked. She was extremely kind even though she knew we were just looking. She helped up set up a registry with their store for the people in my life that prefer to shop in person, she even took my Babylist information and password and hooked up my mod mama registry with my online one, creating one less thing for me to have to do. Also side note, they had some of the cutest stuffed animals I've ever seen!

I wish I got her name because she was incredibly helpful. She gave us a gift bag with some details about registry info, information on all the car seats & strollers, and just was able to manage the store all by herself dealing with multiple customers as they JUST opening one busy Saturday morning. Idr her name but she was amazing. Flash forward to just recently when we went in, now in our third trimester and wasn't even GREETED at the door by anyone. There were two employees working, one younger and one older woman with dark short brown/black hair. When we asked about the Nuna car seats, the older woman with the short black hair didn't even want to give us the time of day. We were looking for more information about it and she just told us that the Nuna car seat they have on display is the only Nuna car seat they can sell or something like that. She didn't come over and offer us a product demo or nothing. And the store was EMPTY. It was just me and my wife there. Instead, her and the younger employee was too busy trying to order Starbucks from next door. We did end up spending some time in the store checking out clothes & whatnot and did walk away with a $60 sleeper, but neither employees tried to help us in anyway shape or form and we were there for a good half hour. Granted, it was towards the end of the day, but this was a complete 180 from our previous experience here. I will say this, Mod Mama still tends to be the best spot in RI to grab baby gear & clothes but whoever doing the hiring needs to take a hard look at their employees because some of them can care less about the customers! Please take appropriate action! Being new parents is scary and having someone showcase & demo all the nice brands out there is sooooo nice to have locally. Other recent reviews mention the same sorta customer service, I just hope it doesn't stay like that.

Boy cloths can certainly be a bit boring, but I appreciated the mix of classic basics, as well as characters, and "typical" boy things like trucks. I feel like this is a spot where you never want to pay full price so I appreciated all their sales and $5-7 deals on basic items. The employees were all friendly and overall a great place to stop if you don't want to wait on shipping online.

She's gonna need all the clothes she can get! We were greeted as soon as we entered and asked if they could help us find what we came looking for. They pointed out the areas we would find the items and let us know to ask if we had any questions. Carter's has so many adorable clothing items for the tiny humans. I want them all. But I settled on a few. Check out was quick and easy. I was asked if I needed a gift receipt (Yes! Thank you for asking!) and told they do charge for bags now and did I want one. I always have a reusable clothe bag on me so I declined but very happy she let us know there is a charge before adding it to the bill. The store is bright and tidy. Boys and girls clothes are separated to the left and right and I did find gender neutral items mixed in too. I'll still use their online services to have baby clothes shipped directly when they reside out of state. When I can give them the gifts in person, it's nice to have this Carter's store close by.

I had the opportunity to visit on Sunday, September 14th. Garden City Center's historic gazebo green transforms into a vibrant, open-air Farmers Market. The Farmers Market is every Sunday from May 18 through September 28 from 10 AM to 2 PM. I wandered and checked out the local vendors. There were a great variety of them. I purchased a really cute coaster from The Book Emporium RI. The Book Emporium RI sells books that are wrapped and you have a blind date with a book. I also purchased a lavender sachet from 15 Lavender Place. I spoke with the owner and she told me all of the lavender is lovingly home-grown and hand-harvested, ensuring the highest quality and care go into every product. There were soothing lavender eye pillows, relaxing neck wraps, sprays, and bundles of dried lavender. I also went to Fully Rooted to purchase two bottles of freshly pressed juices-Watermelon Slice and Golden Greens. There were also local food trucks, farm booths, and local makers. The Garden City Center Farmers Market is a market for everyone. Either if you just want to stop for coffee, get produce for the week, flowers, dog treats, see alpacas, and so much more.
