The establishment is beautifully decorated and you can tell the owner really invested in the place and the people who work there. There is a pink bicycle parked outside, the establishment is pink, the decor is very elegant--perfect for a photo op I opt to do the afternoon tea with Prosecco added on as well as some scones to go. It was a very fair price per person. Under £80 for the entire experience for 2 people. They also sell other assorted desserts, shakes and cakes All the employees were attentive, they explained in detail what our package came with and they made sure we were happy from start to finish. Unfortunately I didn't make the reservation myself (relied on family in London to make it) so we didn't get booked for the afternoon tea service as I'd hoped and just had a reserved table instead. Still, I indulged in some scones with cream and strawberry jam, paired with a strong cup of decaf English breakfast tea. The staff is very friendly and took the time to explain the drink and pastry options to us. I hope I get a chance to visit again for the full tea service before the end of my trip!

Coffee and pastries arrived very quickly and were great quality. Very tasty coffee and fresh pastries. Reasonably priced too. Didn't order food but saw it arriving to other tables and it looked really nice. Will be back. *Disability accessibility comment: There is a step into the cafe which would have made wheelchair access very difficult has we wanted to sit inside although I didn't ask if they had a ramp so I'll give them benefit of the doubt there.

All she wanted for her birthday was a nice afternoon tea. We left London and were basically driving sort of toward the coast just stopping wherever we found a tea shop. Unfortunately, every tea shop we hit was closed because of some bank holiday we were unaware of. Except one! We got to Glynde, parked outside this tea shop, went in, and found a large sign that said "cash only". OMG this wasn't our day. We had to go to the next town over to use the ATM which sucked, but we weren't in any hurry and we really liked the look and feel here. We came back, got seated, opened the menu, and right at the top it said afternoon tea available with reservation only. We were devastated. I saw the look in my wife's eye and there was no way I was not getting her this afternoon tea! I approached the woman working and explained our situation and before I could even fight for the experience she told me not to worry, she would get us taken care of. BLESS HER! We had a wonderful visit and would recommend the experience to everyone in the area. Fast forward to this year. I knew how much my wife loved that visit and decided to reach out and ask if they had any ideas of what I could get her for her birthday this year. Joanne reached back out with an amazing gift and shipped it to us and it amazingly arrived on her birthday! She also included a nice birthday card for her! Maybe they can cope with tables of two but definitely not more than that.

Owner also sells different tea including puer tea. For now they serve Alchemy Coffee which smells and tastes amazing - it's a place worth to visit if you are real coffee-lover. I've been looking for a good coffee in Croydon for ages and finally found it in Crushed Bean! Soon they also going to open sitting area downstairs that will be possible to hire for private events as well. Prices are more than affordable - £2.20 for Latte and just £1.20 for fresh baked kiwi square, such a bargain! They are working closely with The Bread Factory based in Hendon for a great choice of pastries and snacks on offer. There are also hot and cold sandwiches that looked yummy if you are hungry. Service is great as well - guys who are also the owners are very friendly and know what they are doing, wish them good luck and hope they will soon grow into a chain available all around London.
