She brought me three tasters and, honestly, each of them were fantastic. It seems fitting that I chose a pint of Conflict of Interest in the midst of a difficult decision! The food menu is just as impressive. I'm certain anyone can find a favorite. I ordered the blackened chicken gnocchi and found myself in flavor heaven. I've made and eaten a lot of gnocchi and this is easily the best I've ever had. Mae agreed with me and suggested it's because there's cheese in those potato pillows. I dunno but I would eat this every day if I could. If I thought they'd keep, I'd buy extra and take some home. Meanwhile the bar crowd was friendly and chatty as we watched soccer on a few TVs. It was pretty chill, everyone just kicking back with great beer, tasty food and a worldwide sporting event. That said, I'm not waiting four years to come back!

So impressed with all of their drinks they make in house. Came another time for dinner with a friend to catch up. A large group took over the dining room. Stayed way past they were done with their food and drink. They stayed 5 hours and disrupted the restaurant. Our waitress gave us a small discount for how annoying these people were. A family-friendly place as well, which is perfect for this area. There is a variety of seating types, including a large bar with stools. The menu has a lot of choices. This can make it difficult to decide but is nice if you like your meal and want to return to try other dishes. We ended up ordering the Whipped Feta and the Old Detroit Slider Sampler. The Whipped Feta was excellent - the pita that came with it was piping hot and crispy from being fried. That crunch was so satisfying with the sweet taste of the cheese. The slider sampler was perfect for us to share - pick 3 different slider offerings and you get 2 of each. It also comes with a choice of side and we went with tator tots. I loved the way its served - on a large Ploughman's-like metal tray. The sliders were good just not unique, although, I wasn't expecting anything unique at this place. The food was as expected, which is good! We'll definitely return as we have other dishes we need to try!

Our food ended up taking forever to come out so we were rushed to hurry up and eat and leave when it came out. For appetizers we got the chips and dip and salads. The dip had a long piece of hair in it and we immediately sent it back and the waiter looked at us like we were crazy for not wanting it. The salads were pretty good - big portion with lots of fresh toppings and dressing. For entrees we got the buffalo chicken sandwiches and the grilled chicken plate. My mom asked for no buffalo and it came with buffalo on it so she didn't love it. Mine on the other hand was pretty average. It was a large portion and had a good amount of toppings on it that altogether was very flavorful. I did ask for ranch on the side when i ordered and it took awhile for it to come out. The chicken plate was just about the only good dish we had. It came with a good spread of well prepared food and was a healthy option on the menu. The worst part of this experience was when we asked for bags for left overs the waiter told us to go get it ourselves so we had to awkwardly go behind the bar to grab it. Overall the service was terrible- everyone was rude. The food was slightly above average but with the hair in it and messing up our orders i would not recommend. Even though this is in prime location there are so many better options in the area. I could see this place having potential for coming for drinks with all the tvs or on the rooftop in the summer but thats about it.

That said we had a short wait at 5:30pm. No issues there as a wait is to be expected on a Saturday night. Once sat waitress approached and she was quite friendly. Took our drink orders and once delivered took or appetizer order of Wings and our Entree order Buffalo Chicken wrap and French Dip. After a longer than normal wait I see food headed our way and it is both the appetizer and entrees at the same time. That should have been a sign to send the wings back as they were no longer an appetizer once server with the entrees. We decided to roll with it though. First wing was fine but when I bit into the second wing it had an odd texture and I looked down at the wing flat to see uncooked, bloody chicken. Thankfully I didn't swallow and discarded the bite into a napkin. We picked at our entrees after that but it ruined our appetite. We flagged the waitress over as soon as we saw her to inform her. She cleared the wings but never circled back until it was time for the bill. Comment on the French dip, super salty. Would not recommend. Also the bread it was served on was more of a ciabatta roll that did not hold up well to being dipped. Thankfully they took the wings off the bill but truly we couldn't eat after the mishap, so spent $50 for a half eaten meal.

I'm pretty sure there was only one waitress for both the bar and the dining room floor. The menus were sticky, especially the happy hour and drink my news. Lots of different cocktails. I ordered a margarita and was asked if I wanted a flavor. I asked for mango but then was told later they were out. So I went with blackberry. The drink was fine. It wasn't the best margarita I've ever had though. It's called O Grizzly's and there's some Oakland University nods inside. There were quite a few patrons wearing Golden Grizzly gear, there was a basketball game that night. But the place still feels gimmicky to me. A way to market Oakland University people and get them in the door but doesn't do much else after that. There really doesn't feel like a true affiliation with the University. Bathrooms are single stall and felt clean. The menu is not too overwhelming. Went with the blooming onions and they were absolutely delicious. Hot onions with a crunchy batter and a yummy dipping sauce. I went with the Tandoor wings as it was really played up on their menu. I got medium for sauce. My husband got chicken tenders and we ordered a side of fries. I was disappointed with my chicken wings. They were a good size but the skin was rubbery and some of the chicken tasted chewy. Also, the sauce was very runny, didn't really stick to the chicken wings. I am not sure where the Tandoor part was to the wing? They gave about five half sticks sliced in half of celery for nine wings, not enough at all. I asked for blue cheese but was given ranch. The fries were thicker, cut, and swirly, which are interesting and they had a good seasoning on them. Our waitress was friendly and decently attentive, considering she had to serve every table and run the bar. Food was coming out decently fast. But getting our check and cashing out took a while. It got to the point where my husband just went up to the bar where she was so we could cash out.
