The Cayley is one of a number of identical kiosks spread across the bay between Rhos-on-Sea and Old Colwyn. All sell a more or less identical selection of drinks, snacks and beach toys. They all have outside seating but are too small to make space available for customers inside.
The Cayley is furthest West and is located a few minutes walk from the centre of Rhos-on-Sea. It's not somewhere I've dined too often, in fact I've only eaten there once. I ordered a cheese burger and a coffee. The burger appeared to have come out of a tin from the cash and carry and the coffee was instant. Was I disappointed? Not in the slightest. The quality was exactly what I expected from a kiosk on the promenade of a slightly faded seaside town. Also I'd imagine that a tiny kiosk like this isn't going to have top of the range kitchen facilities.
If you want a "nice" meal then Rhos-on-Sea is close by so you're better heading for the Copper Kettle, Fortes or Chimes. If you want something quick, filling and reasonably priced The Cayley won't let you down. read more
