Even on the hot mid-July day, it's an evocative sight. Shorts and sports shirts melded with business casual with laptop bags. For a few hours, I was able to step out of the stress of life and reconnect with creativity, observation, and a sense of inner quiet. That is a rare and meaningful gift. The space itself is welcoming and supportive, and you can feel the care that goes into both the teaching and the environment. Idk if they were rapping over other people's tracks, and that's just a Thing People Do that I didn't know about, or if they were rapping over their own tracks. But I would just think that as a young local performer, you'd want to sing or rap over instrumental tracks so we can hear You and You alone.

There were 100+ local artists showing over 500 pieces of art. They had free pancakes. There was alcohol for purchase at Lincoln theater bar. The staff here were pleasant, attentive and welcoming. The Lincoln theater was not the best venue for this event but they did the best with would they had. The space seems most ideal for the concerts and for standing but was very difficult maneuvering around freely. Needed more physical space to consume and fully appreciate the art. I enjoyed engaging with all of the artist. One of my favorites that was an extreme stand out was Ankit Nagar. Many of Ankit's pieces were so calming and the colors spoke to me. I do recommend the Art Show. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. I enjoy Art. I purchase prints whenever I feel moved but I have yet to be able to obtain original Art. That's a goal of mine.
