This is extremely unfortunate and upsetting. There is also no option for spectators to sign a waiver for injuries. There is also no statement on their website that spectators are not allowed. The starter also stated that golf is for players and not spectators which is even more upsetting as the PGA would be nowhere without its spectators. Maybe some people just enjoy watching others play and don't feel like playing that day. Unfortunately won't be going back. They also hid my Google review so I am leaving one on YELP.

Much to my disappointment the pro shop told me there are no motorized carts available until April 1st which is in two days. I am too old to carry a golf bag for four hours. I made reservations by telephone using the number listed on the course web site and was assured there would be motorized golf carts available for $18. I was told by the pro shop that the reservations number is a third party booking site and they are telling people carts are available. So if the pro shop knows that wrong information is being given out by the booking site why haven't they corrected it. No manual push carts are available either.

I'm back now in NYC after a run with Sarasota, farming and golfing and doing doggie stuff. Anytime you're in the warmer climates and your a player, it's high time to sharpen your skills on the course., come back to the northeast and put a lickin on your friends . First hole is a really short part 4, 365 yards from the blue tees. I'm always trying at stretch out Smoking Steve because he's not long and I love blowing my 2 iron past his driver drives. But there were no tees further back, so I carved my shits a bit more to play what this mountain course is giving. Mountain golf is lots of ups and downs as you might imagine, quite the opposite flof super flat Florida so know your distances, add and take away yardage when facing an approach short where elevations change Par three's aren't difficult, usually greens that are receptive and not very undulating. Green side bunkers are not deep and are a good target to hit into if your sand game is tight on the par 5s. In fact, there aren't many bunkers out here which is why I'm still a bit stumped as to the Troon connection here. No water hazards that I recall being anything you need to avoid. If your straight, this is a scorable course, fescue is high so errant off line shits will be a big penalty. I'd recommend a summer round because when the leaves fall, finding your well struck tee shot could be challenging, even while playing colored Srixon golf balls.

I guess most people use GPS, but I am a tech dinosaur. One serious complaint was the lack of water on the course. Make sure you bring enough water for yourself for the entire playing time. They do have a soda vending machine at the clubhouse, but I am not a soda drinker. Signage on the course could be improved, We followed signs to the 14th tee and ended up on the 17th green. Probably our fault, but we all know folks just don't really follow directions well anymore. Will be back to play the course again, but now that I am aware of the minor shortcomings, it will be a much more enjoyable experience.
